With each of the books in this trilogy the stories became better an' better. The first book...well...I certainly loved it but just didn't like the first part of it.....just thought it was a bit too much. But that was a minor issue...so don't let that stop you from reading it. I rarely give 5 stars but this series did deserve it. It had EVERYTHING I love in a 'fantasy/para' romance. Glorious explicit lovemaking (and it was lovemaking albeit very hot....no kinky stuff), a different but brilliant story line with heaps of different 'creatures'....an' magic....oh and action. Never a dull moment!! OTHER AUTHORS TAKE NOTE PLEASE: The thing I loved best about this series is that all the three books were released within months of each other. Now THAT aided me in giving this author 5 stars. I just cannot stand it when you have to wait 6 months to a year (or much longer) before the next book in a series is released. By then I've forgotten what the story is all about!!! LISTEN UP AU... Read more

This was the best book of the trilogy so far. I was nervous at first in regards to Jake being 7-8 when he was changed into a demon. I mean obviously he was no longer a child, yet he still had memories of being a little boy. Anna Windsor did excellent though and the reader no longer thinks of Jake in those terms. Jake is special he has 'light' inside of him that allows him to heal sybils as well as himself. He fears though that he is not worthy of life and Merilee because of the atrocities he committed while his Talisman was being held against him. Merilee really shines in this book and we see the quiet strength explode from the previous two novels. Andy really, really, grows up, as a mother and as a cop. We see sides of characters that was previously understated or hidden completely. Windsor grew as an author in this novel. Bound by Shadow was a great intro, but lacked a little in the plot/development; Bound by Flame really helped Windsor come in to her own and had great ... Read more
