The O'Connor saga continues with a book that, if possible, is even better than the first! Centered on Charity, the drama heats up in Ireland. She has always set her sights on what she wanted and won it... one way or another. And now, Charity wants Mitch! Stubborn personalities collide and heart pounding passion explodes between them. Mitch refuses to give into her temptations and makes his point quite clear. He has given in to his feelings before and learned that that road leads to nowhere. But, when Charity gets herself in a fix it is Mitch who saves the day! Charity manipulates Mitch and takes advantage of his kindness and thinks she finally has him. Until Faith learns her secret and Charity can no longer hide behind her lies and deceit. When Mitch learns the truth, she realizes that she could lose the man she truly loves. As she lay in the darkest moment of her life, Charity learns that no man on earth can fill the void in her heart she has so desperately tried to fill. ... Read more

All her life, Charity O'Connor has been beautiful, able to turn every male head her way. All her life, she has used that to manipulate and occasionally even deceive. It's the only way she knows--but when Mitch Dennehy insists desire isn't enough, Charity has to devise a new plan. She's loved Mitch ever since she broke up him and her sister. But does she love him enough to turn to his God? Mitch is determined to steer clear of Charity, and not just because her deceptive wiles seduced him into a situation that ended his engagement. He can't trust her, and what's more, he can't trust himself around her. But when she begins seeing Rigan Gallagher, Mitch has to step in. Gallagher has already ruined one woman in Mitch's life--he isn't going to stand by while he ruins another. From Dublin to Boston and back again, A Passion Redeemed sweeps us away into an era gone by with amazing characters that speak to our hearts today. I absolutely love it when an author takes a character I wouldn't ... Read more

A Passion Redeemed is one of the best romances I have read in a long time. Julie Lessman revisited the cast of characters from her first book, A Passion Most Pure, and brought them to life again. She showed readers a side of Charity O'Connor- the one we loved to hate in book one- that made us fall in love with her. Charity O'Connor stayed in Ireland with her grandmother, Bridget, and great-grandmother, Emma, while the rest of the family returned to Boston. Charity is used to getting her way, especially with men. She knows how to use her stunning beauty to attract whomever she sets her sights upon. Handsome, newspaperman Mitch Dennehy is the one she has chosen. And he wants nothing to do with her. He's been burned by his mother, his first wife, and Charity once, which ended his engagement to her sister Faith. Charity uses a wealthy, scoundrel, Rigan Gallagher, to lure Mitch into her arms. When all her schemes backfire and she is the one used and broken, will Charity find a way to all... Read more

Like Scarlett O'Hara, another bewitching fictional Irishwoman, Charity O'Connor draws men without even trying. And except for the once-burned Mitch Dennehy, draw men she does. However, her curvy body and storybook-perfect face camouflage feelings of self-doubt, loneliness, and jealousy. Another parallel is drawn between O'Hara and O'Connor: both women covet the one man they cannot have and spend their lives scheming and plotting to attain that "ideal" love. In a book heavily laden with the passion that plummeted Lessman to the top of Christian romance lists, Charity leaves the bustling streets of Dublin and the grandmother she loves and returns to a tension-filled home in Boston. A Passion Redeemed explores sister rivalry, a romance that spans two continents, and the restoration of a father/daughter relationship. I applaud Lessman for creating another great read and capturing my heart with a bad girl gone good. Scarlett O'Hara fans, don't miss this one!
