Although I have not read every Poroit book, I would put this at the top(of those I have read). I'm not going to give anything away. If you like Poroit, you'll like this book. Plus it's cheaper than other editions, so how can you go wrong? Between the exotic locale, the characters, and the flowing story, it's my favorite. Also consider picking up Murder on the Orient Express and Hickory Dickory Dock.

Let me start by saying that I love this novel. A mystery fan, I am just now reading my first Agatha Christie. The novel itself is wonderful. The characters are vivid, the plot moves fluently, and I am completely engaged in it. As an English teacher, however, I am very disappointed in the number of typographical errors. By chapter 12, I have noticed at least a dozen. My score of 3 stars is an average of 5 for the story, and 1 for quality of text. Hopefully not all Kindle books are this poorly prepared.

Death on the Nile is a mystery surrounding the death of beautiful heiress, Linnet Ridgeway, who is shot while she honeymoons with her husband, Simon Doyle on an Egyptian cruise. Unfortunately for the murderer, one of the passengers aboard the ship is infamous Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot. The most obvious suspect is Jacqueline de Bellefort, Linnet's former best friend and Simon's former fiancee. After being betrayed by her best friend and the man she loves, Jackie begins stalking the newlyweds even going as far as planting herself on a cruise the lovers boarded in an attempt to sidetrack their stalker. The only problem is, Jackie has an air-tight alibi and could not have possibly committed the murder. Unlike Murder on the Orient Express and And then there were none, the murder does not happen immediately. Although the reader knows the identity of the victim, there are plenty of clues and threats for the reader to sift through before the ultimate tragedy befalls the victim.... Read more

Death on the Nile is one of Agatha Christie's greatest works. Death on the Nile is one of the Poirot mysteries, and is set on a boat traveling along the Nile. A wealthy lady is being followed by her former-friend-now-rival, and Poirot is determined to find out what is going on. I will not give away any other information here, only to say that I would not recommend you reading this book at night.

Death on the Nile is a masterpiece of mystery. Put a beautiful young celebrity who inherits great wealth in a love triangle. Then provide a backdrop of a very memorable Egypt and drop in Hercule Poirot. Now you have the chemsitry and ingredients for a terrific mystery. As the plot unfolds and you finish a chapter, you will find yourself setting down the book to think through what the latest twists and turns may mean. Don't miss reading this. You can do a lot worse, but not much better.

God and the angels in heaven, how could anyone like this nonsense. Utter hogwash, with characters as thin as cardboard and dialogue from a grade 7 play.

Any book and/or novel written by Agatha Christie should also be thrown to its death in the Nile River....pure boredom....

I enjoyed reading this mystery, not her greatest but it was really good and the ending was good.
