Great player in his prime. He was a great scorer that could score many different ways. Can be selfish at times. He could still be in the NBA if he worked harder.

He can be a ball hog, sometimes, but he can score. The only thing about him is I can't remember him ever helping a team get significantly more competitve than than they are or were before, and I also think the Pistons won't e keeping him.

What happened? His career has gone down the tubes since he left Philadelphia. Can't even get past the 1st round anymore. Last year with the Nuggets, Destroyed by the Lakers in 4. This year with Detroit, they faced Cleveland. Same result. And look how the Nuggets are doing since they got rid of A.I., they are in the conference championship game against the Lakers.

"We sittin' in here, I'm supposed to be the franchise player, and we in here talkin' about practice. I mean listen, we talkin bout practice. Not a game, not a game, not a game. We talkin bout practice. Not a game, not a, not a, not the game that I go out there and die for, and play every game like its my last. Not the game. We talkin' bout practice, man. I mean how silly is that?" (Hey A.I.: Shut up and go to practice.)

He is the most dominant player in NBA history. Think about it. At six foot nothing, he still scores thirty points a game. This is a league where height matters, and he doesn't have it. Other opinions might be that Wilt Chamberlain was the most dominant ion history, but he was 7'1". Allen singal handedly brought the 76ers to the finals a few years ago and dominated evey game.

Iverson iz tha muthafuckin truth. Who cares how low his shooting percentage is he improved on that who cares if he don't got a ring. This dude drives the paint going against men almost twice his size no otha liitle man do that cuz they bitches afraid of getting hurt no disrespect to man Zeke he waz tough too, but there will never be another Allen Iverson someone who could drop 40 plus points and still dish out 10 assists or dominate the game at 6 feet barely.

Iverson sometimes hurts his team from shooting too much. Shooting is fine, but when they're not going down, STOP. Pass the ball. Other than that one weakness, he's an amazing player. One of the best and most exciting point guards the league has ever seen. I wish I could give him 5 stars, but I can't, and I already explain why. 4.75

He's cool, for starters everybody knows he's pimpin, and riding 22's and he just dont give a f$*k what people think about him. He's the best little man ever to grace the NBA court. Isiah Thomas is overrated, as a matter of fact, most of the old school NBA players are overrated. I'll take AI over Isiah Thomas Mon through Sun.

A.I. is a mix of an old school player and new school player. He has the toughness and determination of an old school player. With the finesse and swagger of a new school player. He also has his own individual drive to WIN.

One of the best players EVER!!!!I mean his six foot but actually close to 5-10 or 5-11 and HE IS THE THIRD HIGHEST OVERALL SCORER!!!! behind only to wilt and jordan which is a great feat thinking that his as tall as the average citizen...His handle and speed are bar none and i just LOVE watching him fastbreak. He fastbreak like NO OTHER man...HIS THE MOST FEARED FASTBREAKER IN THE NBA!!!(if you ever watch him fastbreak you know what i mean)All the defenders are scared off him in 1 on 1 fastbreak situations as he will charge at you like a bull and somehow manage to lay it up...people says that he is a ballhog but hes passing more now and having career highs in assists and hes a ballhog only bcuz he got noone to pass too...

Tough as nails on the court. Can carry a team all by himself (Which he has to considering the fact that he refuses to give anyone else the ball.) It may take Iverson 30 shots and 15 freethrows to score 30 points but, he is a proven scorer. What he does best is just force the other team to have to deal with him. They usually come up short. I don't care at all for his brash attitude or his horrible influence on kids, but on the court he gives 110%. Practice may not be neccessary for A.I. to be great, but he is the unquestioned team leader and (to quote from 'Remember the Titans') "Attitude reflect(s)leadership, Captain." I hope that he grows up some day. He really has a lot to offer, and his team will be a lot better as a result of it.

FIRST OFF THIS GUY IS A GREAT PLAYER WHO IS A MISMATCH FOR ANYONE ON THE FLOOR. PEOPLE ALWAYS SAY HE CANT SHOOT WELL YOU ARE WRONG, HE RUNS ALL GAME HE IS TIRED AND THE SHOTS ARE SHORT. HE HAS TO SHOOT OVER PLAYERS THAT IS 6'2 AND UP HE IS NOT EVEN 6'0 TALL REALLY. THE ONLY THING HE LACKS IS LOW POST DEFENSE AND THAT IS ONLY BECAUSE HE IS NOT TALL ENOUGH TO COMPETE WITH A PLAYER THAT IS TALL SAY FOR INSTANCE LIKE A KOBE BRYANT HE IS 6'7 HE CAN POST HIM UP ALL DAY. I GUARANTEE YOU WONT GET PAST HIM ON THE PERIMETER THOUGH. HE HAS STARTED PASSING MORE OFTEN HE HAD A CAREER HIGH IN ASSIST LAST SEASON SO TO ME THIS IS THE GREATEST PLAYER IN THE NBA RIGHT NOW.

one of the all time greats but i hate when everyone underrates iverson because of the way he dresses his tattos and because he is from the streets give him credit he is only 6 foot and and dominating a league with big men.

While a good player, he has yet to earn a Ring. No Ring, no 5th star. And injuries cost him a second star from my opinion. Get durable, play hard and often, and get that Ring, and you'll get 5 stars in my book.

Allen Iverson in my opinion is one of the greatest players to have ever lived. Allen Iverson has always given his heart and soul on the court. And has always remained true to 1 team for his whole career,The 76ers and hasn't thought about a trade yet. He's is what I like to think of as one of the best influences on the game. Allen Iverson has struggled through numerous injuries and has averaged over his career a 29.6 points per game and a 41.9 minutes per game. Allen Iverson is a great example of a great NBA Icon.

I used to think he couldn't shoot but then I found out it's cause he takes to the hole so much and gets free throws. Allen's a winner, and he has the toughness so many little guards don't have. I'm amazed how many people still refuse to give him his due. How many seasons does a guy have to carry his team, still average over 20 ppg and show heart and hustle before he gets recognition?

I am a huge sixers fan and I dont see how ANYBODY could talk bad about Allen Iverson, he takes it to the hole and gets beat up constantly, he fights through injuries, and he is one of the greatest players of all time. He deserves more recognition then he gets and he should be ranked in the top 30 of the best NBA players ever

If you like a ball hog who dribbles constantly and dosen't share the ball at all and is more interested in outscoreing his team mates rather than his opponents, then you like this guy. I'm from Phila, I know!

Allen Iverson never deserves to be beatin on. He is one of the best ball handelers of this time century, if you can think of anyone else, then don't have an opinion about the guy! He is already considered one of the best of this time period, so why would he not be good? O, Wait, he is great! Everyone loves AI! You all should too!

the first player since jordan to avg. 23plus points his rookie season (along with seven+ assist).Broke rookie record held by wilt chamberlain for 36 years of 4 straight games with 40 points or more, plus one with 50. what many people don't think about virginia player of the year(as a junior) in football& basketball won state Title in both same year also, WoW and didn't either his senior year due to bolling alley incident.Only two years of college, so looking at it from different perspective you can say he played only one year of college. 10th faster player in history to score 15,000 points in career(take into consideration he's had only one season were he's all 82 games.fourth highest career scoring avg, lead league in steals 4 of the last 5 years. Larry hughes lead for the first time last year he made 1st All defensive team, Iverson have not chosen AI once,(Why is that ask yourself). shot alot early in career cause of extreme confidence, shoot alot now because of (Necessity). allen is one of my biggest insparations, and everytime i play basketball i play hard because i have always seen him do it. even when he has a bad game its still inspiring to watch him. the attitude and the thug image is just an image. hes not like that in real life. he doesnt showboat, its just that the crossover looks cool so everyone says hes showboating, but actually hes just trying to win the game. larry brown put it best heres a kid that was so competitive, wanted to play one against five every possesion, and now hes learning how to play the game. selfish players only think about themselves and there scoring averages. not about winning. and nobody wants to win more than allen. from 1996 to now, thats all hes been trying to do. and people say he shoots to much. well putting up one shot when your 5 11 is not easy. its not like he goes into the game saying i have to put up 30 points. he goes into the game saying i have to win this thing. hes a good person, never harmed anybody, and ... A ball hog...yes, but also a winner. I don't think anybody in the NBA competes harder than Iverson, and although he may have an attitude and a bad image, it does not take away from his amazing competitive nature. Its pretty amazing that a person of his size can consistently be at the top of the NBA scoring list.

Hi, I am dissapointed read all of the terrible comments made about Allen Iverson. They are unfair and wrong. Most of the people said they only watched him for about 10 minutes which does not do him justice, Iverson is one of the greatest players in the NBA, he is exciting to watch although I will admit that he has a few bad games you shouldn't take anything away from him. Some of the comments were good to read, like 1 which said this guy shows more guts than a world war 1 soilder.... Maybe not a world war 1 soilder but he does have a lot of guts going out every night playing his heart out just to please his fans. So everyone who said bad things about him should realy re-think what they said. JAKE

AI is a hard one to pigeohole. No doubt, he is one of the greatest ever to play the game. An incredible warrior who can still put up 40 points despite injuries that would leave others sitting on the bench in street clothes. Some of his incredible inside drives to the basket, against defenders nearly twice his weight, is the best I've seen since Dr. J. He is an incredible athlete; in high school, many observers say he was a better football QB than a Basketball player. AI has come a long way in terms of maturity. I guess the only knock on him is that he has never won a title (though he singlehandedly led the Sixers to the Finals) and his style of play makes it difficult for players to complement him synergistically. He may score alot -- but he damn well shoots alot too. He gets many points by virtue of the charity stripe (which isn't a bad thing). I guess in the final analysis, he is the 3rd best NBA guard in history -- only Jordan and Magic are better.

Toughest player in the Game PERIOD. He has consistintly put up numbers with no one. Him and C-Webb should work well together as wlong as he realizes that it is AI's team and AI's city. AI can take over a game, and if you try to hack him out, you;ll just get him mad, becasue you know he will get up and you can be even more sure that he will make the free throws. I mean think about who was on the team he took to the finals. If you can name 2 others that arent mutombo you either Live in Philly or are a 40 yr old man who has no life. To be hnoest with all you AI is the best player in the game today. I WILL PRDICT THAT IF THEY MAKE IT TO THE PLAYOFFS THEY WILL UPSET EVERYONE TO WIN IT ALL. but only if he and C-webb can work together long enough to make it to the playoffs.

Arguably the quickest and toughest player ever to play the game. I think he's even better now that he's playing the point. Has the potential to be the first player since Nate Archibald to lead the league in scoring and assists. He is first in scoring now and fifth in assists.
