Dennis Rodman

Forget The Worm's antics and forget the hair-coloring. The fact was that he was one of the fiercest rebounders of all-time and one of the greatest defensive players ever. He couldn't hit a jumper. However, despite his lankiness, his job was the hardest. Rebounding is the hardest thing to do in the NBA. It's harder than blocking a shot and it's harder than sinking shots from half-court. He was a winner and every team he played on, they won.

I am very surprised that he is even on this list, the only thing he could ever do is rebound. He got away with so many fouls it is and will always be unbeleivable. He did have a talent of somehow getting a rebound on the hard floor but... I don't think he even deserves a chance to earn bids with the big dogs -- when it comes to overall performance that is.

Monster rebounder, but had self control problems and was as likely to hurt a team as he was to help it.

for his size, he's definitely a best rebounder. and he's a good entertainer on the court; not necessarily the greatest player.

Rodman was a good rebounder and assist man. However, that was mostly where the talent ended. He was only around for a few years in the NBA. Many have forgotten about his basketball career and remember him more for his outrageous media stunts. If his impact was big, his name would be thrown around more in discussions of past players.

One of the most hilarious and entertaining people ever in the NBA (though, also, repulsive and as unclassy as humanyly possible). I remember him as a Detroit Piston -when they were winning back to backs in the late '80s- that he was a very good rebounder and put the ball up from time to time, also. He was very quiet back then. I wonder what the hell happened. With the Bulls, "the worm" was still a great rebounder and tenacious, physical defender but what's up with the rainbow hair dye and other colors? And he was probably the moron who made tattoos a fad in the NBA. Despicably, nearly every NBA player dons tattoos (as well as the entire USA). Dennis Rodman used to be the only thug in the NBA; now, every one is a low-life criminal of a thug in the NBA. Too bad. This guy shouldn't be honored. Instead, he should go down in history as a fool. His antics include cross-dressing, attacking referees, using profanity during public speeches and more. And, who knows how many millions has been wasted on hair dye. This punk isn't even as good as Joe Montana in basketball (and, yes, I know Montana was a football QB!)

I think he is the best joke in the NBA. But he still looks good.

Although he definitely seems like an odd cookie in his personal life, he certainly added some flavor to the NBA. I think a couple less scandals could have won him more fans. He's the kinda guy you like or you hate. Great muscles though! :)

The fact that Rodman is an idiot shouldn't make us forget that this guy displayed phenomenal basketball skills. How many times was he an integral part of a championship team, making unique contributions in areas that other players tended to ignore (defense, rebounding, etc.)?

If I was rating "Rebounders (all-time)" or "Wackos in the NBA (all-time)" his rating would be higher. Sadly for Dennis, it takes more than an ability to rebound the basketball and be a nutcase to compete on this list.

When Rod-woman wanted to play, he came with such great intensity that he was a pleasure to watch. His lack of pure B-ball skills was made up for by his effort. It is unfortunate that he just did not go through his career with a quiet attitude - if he did, i bet he would have been recognized as one of the best to ever play.
