Coach Sutton has done more for college basketball and helped more people than almost any other basketball coach in history. Iba, Wooden and Smith are the only ones I would rank higher. He has displayed nothing but integrity at every place he coached...including Kentucky where he had to take the blame for their program imploding. What a dirty program. Too bad he wasn't able to clean it up. He tried, but they weren't going to have it and he paid for that program's boosters crimes. He had problems with alcohol, but always confronted them head on and made no excuses. He is at true man of integrity who is a true hall of famer. Hopefully the voters will see it that way soon as well.

By a landslide, the best defensive and game-time coach ever.

Sean Sutton has been running the team since Okie St. has become a national power. Sutton was one of the very few UK coaches to not get UK to the final 4. He even cheated and still couldn't get UK to the final 4.

No hard feelings in Kentucky Eddie, you had a crooked athletic director. Still one of the five best today.

Great coach. Should have used FedEx and he'd still be in Lexington.

Coach Sutton coached me in high school at Tulsa Central. I went on to play at Kansas U. Of all the coaches I have ever had Coach Sutton was the only one that made me feel like a million dollars and helped me to play to my potiental. I believe he has done this for many players over the years.

Outstanding Person, Excellent Coach, Perfect Mentor, Thoughtful Man. What more could OSU basketball and OSU wish for? Sutton was kind enough to call my house and talk to my husband after my husband wrote a heartfelt story about his love of OSU basketball that was passed on to Eddie somehow. He called our house just to thank my husband...how much better of a man can you get?!!!!!! 5 Stars for Coach!

Eddie has consistently brought a winning team to the court year after year. Look at his career wins/losses and consider that for a minute. Sutton is one of the greats that is coaching right now, and will have a strong team this year even after losing so much talent from the 2003 team. Much love, Eddie

It is sad that people are actually giving him 1's and 2's. The 2003 team was projected to be 5th in the conference and they ended up in the final four. The man is one of the top 5 coaches of all time.

Very underrated. Done more with less than most. Hall of Fame lock. Look at his resume. Coaching Doug Gottlieb got him lots of pub.

Look at the list of all time programs. He took 4 of those teams on the 1st page to the Final 4: Crieghton, Arkansas, Kentucky, Oklahoma State

You have to admire this man who overcame a difficult past, for doing such a good job with this team. It's especially significant since he's at OSU, a college that receives little support from the press in Oklahoma (their bias in favor of OU practically screams at you). I'm happy to see that my favorite college has one of my all-time favorite coaches..

Sutton's a great coach. Especially having to play in the shadow of OWho. Just remember, OSU is The Oklahoma State University! Word.
