I wish I could have said 3 3/4 Stars. Way to go Sin-cinnati. If this were college they would definately be Miami; good team with about 10% of the team potential prison material. Marvin Lewis is a great, great coach, but hopefully his overlooking character will not come back to destroy what he's building.
cincy41 05/25/2006
Either everyone rated the team 5 years ago, or you are all a bunch of morons.
cltcmmder17 01/12/2006
bad.....
inhumanmonster 12/18/2005
Yeah, they're having a good year but they've only beaten one team (Steelers) with a winning record. We'll see just how legit they are come playoff time and next season when they play a real schedule. Excellent head coach, I'll give them that. Chad Johnson's an a**hole...
numbah16tdhaha 10/06/2005
Look good so far. Maybe they've come back from the dead. UPDATE: Some people need to come over here and throw a good rating down. At 4-0, there is no way these guys should be rated below my definition of suck, the Arizona Cardinals.
Mad Hatter 10/02/2005
Where did this team come from? 3-0 start! Carson Palmer is looking good so far. Lets see if he can keep it going. UPDATE: Make that 4-0!!
irishgit 09/28/2005
I've yet to be fully convinced they're for real, but they look pretty good so far this season. A 3-0 start didn't look like it was in the cards in the pre-season.
John Candy 09/26/2005
Uh-oh, look out "Bowling Green". 3-0 what a start. This team is the best team in the AFC, STATISTICALLY. Dukesucks, you don't know what your'e talking about. Knock off the crap. It's Bengal Season.
democrat1990 04/29/2005
quit all the hatin
bengals06 04/13/2005
They have a crappy defense, I know. But to be rated under the CARDINALS!?!?! C'mon! They have a good offense with Carson Palmer, Rudi Johnson, and Chad Johnson! Tell me why the Bengals are placed last in the league. One word: UNDERRATED!
mono 01/22/2005
Worst players (most of them) Worst city Worst pigs worst management worst fans The ranking ( and their pathetic) annual record speaks for it self.
jmoney52 10/03/2004
They're right on the cusp of mediocrity, now if they can just manage to stop shooting themselves in the foot they might be half way descent.
OneHungryMonst er 08/25/2004
I think they have a chance of winning the division, but they won't get anywhere in the playoffs.
jonhere 07/09/2004
bungles
roblinb 11/08/2003
You know the Bengals have been a laughingstock for a long time when their fans are getting excited that they are 3-5. I mean most other teams would start getting ready for the draft with a record like that. Carson Palmer is praying to the gods that John Klitna can somehow finish the year with this crapfest joke of a team. You know he hopes never to start for these idiots. Peter Warrick is so overrated and nobody cares about him. The smartest guy on this team is Corey Dillon, who wants to get traded. 3-5 doesn't make his nipples hard and start thining Super Bowl like the rest of the people in cold and windy Cincinnati.
hrd2h8 06/18/2003
Do I really need to explain? Actually, they had a good draft...on paper, so far.
intoxicatedalc hohali 05/04/2003
better than last year by 3 games...laughing stalk will be a thing of the past
Rusty 04/22/2003
Shouldn't even be in the NFL. They are an enema
TheMyth17 04/07/2003
Marvin Lewis, please make me change my rating. I"m a Jaguar/Buccaneer fan, but I would love to see the Bengals among the top rankings in 2 years. My friend and I always joked that the Jets would go to the playoffs in a couple of years after winning less that 4 games. Lo and behold they did. Maybe Mike will let Coach Lewis do his job and won't screw this up.
angusmacpherso n 03/15/2003
Less than pathetic...
mikeholly93 01/21/2003
The Bengals are not as good as they used to be! Plus, Mike Brown is a greedy money-spender who must go!
bucs4good 01/15/2003
This was a very disappointing season
Boonta23 01/11/2003

Xxray138xX 12/23/2002
Dear Mike Brown, I was wondering if you could help me with this dilemma? My little brother bet me that he pee-wee football team could cover the spread against you. Is this true?
DeathRattle 12/22/2002
They're not called the Bungles for nothing. I would analyze the team but that would take forever. So I'll make it short and sweet. Every aspect of their team sucks: offense, defense, and special teams. God help them.
madmule 12/21/2002
I've been a Bengals fan all my life. I grew up in the Wilmington, Oh area and used to frequent the summer camps when they still trained there. Conditions at Wilmington College were not as plush as the Georgetown, Ky settings. Heck, even the rooms were w/o air conditioning. There is very little nightlife in Wilmington and very few distractions that can interfere with training. I would see a few players at local bars and the county fair, but for the most part, they were here to train. Yes, the Bengals have been horrible for years, but astoundingly bad since moving their training camp to Georgetown.
lukskywlkr. 12/18/2002
What an awesome team. They may very well be the most incredibly talented bunch of athletes I've ever seen. NOT!!!
mr.monkey 12/16/2002
Cmon folks. Have a heart, its almost christmas
klunt 12/14/2002
just cause they suck, doesnt mean you need to hate them, they dont hate you
BigDogDad 11/14/2002
Hey! They almost beat Cincinatti High in the regional playoffs last year.
Jason1972 10/31/2002
Otherwise known as "The Team That Never Will." They've always had talent but very mediocre managers and coaches. They know the lose column alot more than the win column.
fanofgkp 12/18/2001
Give them a break, it's not easy sucking year after year after year after year......
txnfx 07/25/2001
This team is butt.
NaderLover 02/22/2001
The Bengals are football's best kept secret. They just need to get their stuff together and they'll be holding the Lombardi trophy high! I enjoy sniffing paint after my day job at the chemical plant!!! I'm 37 and I live with my grandmother!!! I lick the skid marks out of my undies!!!
bondiscool 02/13/2001
UNC Tarheels are better!!!!!! Julius Peppers could tear em up on D & Ronald Curry is just like the starter Cincy has (Donald Hollas? Akili Smith? ah, who cares; they change teams EVERY YEAR!!!!!) at QB. Relegate this team 2 Arena Football; oops, only the world's most popular sport (soccer) has that. Oh well
GEEM7 11/29/2000
THIS TEAM WOULD HAVE A PROBLEM BEATING MOST OF THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL TEAMS. IF THIS WAS A CORPORATION,IT WOULD HAVE GONE OUT OF BUSINESS A LONG TIME AGO!
Munson 09/11/2000
The Bengals have become the poster children for a poorly run franchise. Mike Brown, the owner, has put his children in charge of a lot of the day to day activities of the team, including football-related decisions. Notwithstanding the new stadium and a supposed rejuvenated committment to treating players well, the Bengals are notoriously cheap, confrontational in negotiations with their star players (which makes you think about how bad they must treat the other players), and football's laughingstock. Realizing how much of joke they are, the team has tried to put clauses in new contracts which would force players to pay back part of their signing bonus if they badmouthed the team. Unbelievable.
jpop3620du 01/11/2000
The Cincinatti Bengals look good on paper, but they can't win on the field.
ITAR2616OM 12/10/1999
HOW IN THE HELL THEY BEAT THE 49'ERS I'LL NEVER KNOW.
