Using it right now! I love love love my Mac. It's wonderful! The big screen is beautiful along with the graphics on it. Making videos is a snap, and pictures come out great. I wouldn't trade it in for anything in the world! As the saying goes: Once you go mac, you never go back.

iMac 21.5" 3.06 GHz Intel Core Duo, 4 GB Ram, 1 T HD, ATI Radeon HD 4670 Snow Leopard 10.6.3 Purchased March 2010 You have an iPod, you've used iTunes. So why are you still fiddling with a Windoze box? These new HD iMac computers are the thing to have for a home computer. The built in software and the operating system are vastly superior to anything in the MS offerings. Out of the box, with the Apple wireless keyboard and Magic Mouse, I simply plugged in the power cord and all was well. The mouse has some attractive features, a touch sensor interface (like yer 'pod) controls 360 degree scrolling with a weighted feel to the "wheel" so when you flick it, the page scrolls down in proportion to your flick. It is incredible. A buttonless mouse that has all of the features of a multi-button mouse. It's Apple Magic at it's best. visit Apple.com and read all about it. This thing is like a muscle car - except it's not. Keep driving your Volvo... I noticed on here it states, "The iMac does... Read more

Januari this year i bought my first Mac, a 27" iMac. The design is just perfect, I realy love the unibody style and not having any wires on the front and just one power wire on the back is also very nice, it give a sense of a clean desktop. The performance of the system is very good, but because of the problems with the videocard at the first months i'm not giving it a full 5 stars. For the rest, OSX is just great and very nice to use.

I have the new Apple iMac 27inch (3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM w/ 1TB HD/ ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics with 256MB) and it's just a great desktop computer. Super, bright, large display! AWESOME graphics! I love it! HD.. Call of Duty 4 works so smooth.. Crazy graphics compared to my old Sony PC.. And yeah. The iMac is just wonderful. Mac OS X Snow Leopard runs so smooth. WAY WAY better than PC. I'm a web designer, and I use Adobe CS4 suite all the time. Photoshop, Illustrator function so much better than on my old PC. And I have Parallels which gives me Windows on my Mac whenever I need it. iMac is just great! If you have the money, don't hesitate. It's definitely worth it. Don't worry about lack of software, there is no such thing anymore. That was old times. Now you can get anything, and I mean there's way better stuff out there for Mac. PC users get a whole bunch of junk trial software. Lol.. Apple is dominating Microsoft. Anyway.. I don't want to get into the argument Mac v... Read more

If you're still using a PC...what are you doing? Not only are they harder to use, but they're clunky and obnoxious. I've used PC's all my life and actually liked them. Just recently my Dell laptop became overloaded, so I got an iMac since I use iTunes and my iPod all the time and it generally seemed better for my needs. It is one of the best decisions I've ever made, and that's saying something. Everything runs beautifully and smoothly, the screen is essentially HD, and it has so many little details like Expose, Dashboard and Front Row which may seem frivolous but are immensely useful. It doesn't run as much software, but the software it does run is much more elegant, intuitive, and useful. And you don't have to be an artist to appreciate it. I use way more of iLife than I thought I would and it's amazing. Now that there's trouble with Vista and people are actually going back to XP, it is as good a time as any to get a Mac.

The best computer I have ever purchased hands down.  Very easy to pick out online, you don't have to go page after page of picking out the features you want to have like some of the other brands.  It was delivered to my door before the other competitors could even have theirs built.  Very easy to use and would recommend it to anyone.

Ok...If you are just reading this...pay attention to the dates of when some of these have posted. I own an iMac G3 that has been in service since 2001, and has survived every OS9 and OS X upgrade since then. It has been used every day since it first booted and is still going strong. In less than half the time I have used this machine, I went through 2 PCs that ran win 98 and XP SP1fine, but once XP SP2 came out they turned to garbage. Many people claim that Apples are more expensive. That is totally not true. Other companies may have lower entry points, but compare an Apple with a similarly equipped Dell or whatever...Apple is definitely cheaper. And think about it... you also have to pay more for software...the Mac comes with iLife and iWork is a really good alternative to Office for general Word processing , spreadsheets and presentations. And think about what youll have to pay for antivirus and spam blocker software...and if you want good photo editing management, video, dv... Read more

Macs take time to get used to, not only that but they have a really crappy value for the money you spend on it. But....the programmers at Mac are genius, all the Mac Software is ten times better than the alternatives found on your Windows PC, it is much more easier to organize anything on these things. As a Windows fan it pains me to see Vista being a complete piece of crap, and it also pains me to recommend a Mac if you haven't switched to Vista yet, but I do recommend it, as Vista is just a mess at the moment and well I think this generation we will see a lot more Windows user switch over to Mac.

I have had my iMac for over two years and have had no problems with it. Freezing? Slow? You people just don't know how to maintain your OS properly. No software? Maybe you people should look again. Windows is better and easier to use? Then you certainly have never used Mac OS X. If you can pickup a G3 iMac for your everyday computer use, it's a bargain. These are great computers.

Apple computers are the only PCs that are holding out among a world of IBM compadable computers. Why even bother being different? It seems no one likes the software they use for their system (and it's not because it's not Windows). I use both daily, and by far Windows is much more simpler and easier to understand than Apple's. I remember when some software was only made for Imac's. What a bother. IMac's may still be selling, but just conform. Then they won't have to worry about being unique (and not in a good way).

Apple is the greatest thing that has ever happened in the computer world. Apple computers are so much easier to operate and understand than PCs, and are so much more attractive. The newest iMac is a work of art, and with the newer Macs you can run iPhoto and iPod. More expensive than PCs but worth every penny!

The iMac is a great personal computer. Macintosh still dominates the graphic design market. The whole idea of windows was taken from Macintosh. MS Windows has only recently come close to catching up on Mac's user friendliness. The only problem with owning a Macintosh computer is that most people (not designers) own an IBM compatible. Therefore, there is not as much software written for the Mac, and a lot of files created on an IBM compatible cannot be read on the Mac (But Mac can read more IBM compatible files than IBM compatible can read Mac). But as far as being a quality machine, Macintosh is unsurpassed.

I just love this thing! I got one last year & I don't know how I could live without it. The plug & play on it is great (as opposed to the plug & plug of the PC). Many people argue that the Mac doesn't have much in the way of software, but that's not true. Walk into any Comp USA & you will see tons of choices for Macintosh. And upgrading is easy. I just upgraded my computer's memory & I was amazed on not only how well it took the memory change, but also how easy it was. This is truly the perfect computer

Fantastic. It's so much faster than the brand new PC's that I'm forced to use at work that I'll never consider buying anything but Apple in future. I can just plug in new devices and they just work, it's such a nice change from driver searches and constant reboots. There are some people at this site complaining about frequent crashes. They should call the free Apple help line, there are reasons that crashes occur. Sometimes the machines are damaged in shipment and need to be serviced. If this happens in the first year, Apple won't charge you a cent. Can you say the same for ANY brand of PC?

This desktop is aimed at Macintosh enthusiasts. Designed to be used on a network, it does not come with a floppy drive. The mouse is extremely uncomfortable and the color schemes guarantee it will not find a place in your office.

This iMac was the original computer designed with the everyday user in mind. Ease of use, power, and longevity, combined with a fun and intriguing design, made a fun computer that their owners loved and spawned a whole line of imitators trying to ride on the coatails of inspiration. The iMac, two years later, continues to innovate and help others "think different." The new iMac line consists of 4 models, iMac, iMacDV, iMacDV+, and iMacDvse. Not only has the model line expanded, so has the power. I, as a computer store employee, watched as an iMacDVSE was used to produce production quality video (used for an unrelated business advertisement) with iMovie, the included video editing package.

Everybody I know who has an Imac has had serious problems with it. It's underpowered for any applications like rendering or compiling, and since it doesn't even have an internal desk drive, any printing problems kills your chances of getting that paper in on time.

In my opinion, this is a computer for the computer illiterate. Easy to start and use for simple tasks such as word processing, or Internet use. But it is lost in a world for IBM's. There is no software for the iMac, and if there is, it is quite old. The iMac has very few choices of hardware to put into it, and therefore will be unable to be upgraded when the time comes.

I have never owned an Apple but because of their popularity I've used several, and Imac's especially turn me off. Constant system errors and freezing, plus the usual Apple set up where OS editing is difficult for the inexperienced user which makes it the bottom in computers.
