I've played Pogo games for the past seven years. The site is probably one of the best game sites on the net in visuals and ease of play. The problem is that in my opinion, the games are dishonest. In seven years of play, I've won nothing but worthless tokens. You win tokens when you win a game, but they can be used for two things only, cashing in for prizes or dressing a little figure they call a mini. Since I'm not into dressing on screen figures, I've cashed in millions of tokens, each time winning absolutely nothing. I play Jungle Gin, which is Gin rummy with a jungle theme. I find that the games are loaded with repeated coincidences. For example, having a pair in your hand and tossing one of them, only to find that the very next card would have completed the pair - happens over and over again. While this could happen in a real card game, it's rare to happen with the frequency it does in this game. It's also amazing how often I'm left with one point too many to knock. (In... Read more

I had been a paying Club Pogo member since 2000 and after entering several drawings and collecting millions of worthless tokens, I have never won anything more than useless wall papers. That's right, no tee-shirt, no coffee mug, no cash..nada, zip, zero, zilch! In reality, I would call the site a rip off and a scam. I personally don't know of anyone, including several friends and other Pogo members that I met on line, that had ever won any cash or prizes what so ever. Electronic Arts Incorporated, otherwise known as (EA Sports), is the company behind Pogo and seems to be doing quite well financially, according to their company profile on MSN money. If your into it and have some time, take a look at the company report, their 10-K SEC fillings, and thieir P&L's. They are banking some serious cash. However, they have pulled some shady fast one's on my bank account through their billing process more than once. For example, when I first joined Pogo, it was supposedly a one time bill charged... I finally realized after all these years that ea sucks. I've had my debit card charged twice by ea.com for the sims online I ended up with a negative account balance after paying my bills (thinking I had that extra money in my account). They denied my dispute, I've had problems with ea.com when I was a member of Ultima Online for about 3yrs. Someone stole my account and ea.com would not help me then. Now, I just got my bank account statement the other day and it showed pogwww.ea $39.99. I was furious because I could never part with that much money. I logged into my new pogo account (since someone took my old one that I have had since Nov of 1999-that was back when we were able to change our usernames whenever we wanted). I contacted them about my hacked account and the tech support never seems to understand my question. They respond to me as if they were computerized. It takes 20 messages from me for them to understand one simple question. I contacted them about the cha... Read more

great game selection, but for the money a subscription costs, would like to see a couple of things change: games often reset when running on IE, and have to sign in to AOL and play (w. my paid subscription, not the AOL freebie version) to prevent that; wish they would provide muting options on all games, or better yet, equip each game to have a sliding volume scale, independent of your puter's set volume. would also like to see them eliminate batch mailing as an option of their e-mail, and increase the inbox capacity (currently at a 100-message limit)

First of all, this site puts a ridiculous amount of spyware on my computer. The website offered a 2 week trial membership of Club Pogo. I'm glad I tried it. This way I know not to waste my money. Here's why: 1. The website offers "badges" for different games, offering extra points and tokens if you win a certain number of games, etc. The website threw me out (in other words, de-activated the badge) after acquiring more than 1/2 the requirements. This forced me to start all over from square one. Also, all wins are not counted. For instance a badge requires 20 wins to attain the badge. But it took me 62 wins to actually aquire it. 2. Putting in a complaint to customer service does no good whatsoever. They either don't read your complaint or perhaps do not understand english well. They are typically non-responsive. When they do respond, they are insulting in their response. To sum up: Cheating, non-responsiveness and unprofessional behavior, plus tacking spyware on my computer. Wh... Read more

The only Real problem I have is contacting customer service I have not been able to log in for three days now. And the error page keeps reading that it is on there end. When I try to contact them I have to log in and it says I am not a member I have been a paying member for over 2 years same screen name and password. It is nuts if this keeps up I will cut off pogo and change my bank account number so they cant charge me again. Damn it!

Pogo sucks. I've been a member since 2000. It has done nothing but go downhill. I've been trying to play monopoly. I get in, I sit at a table, and play 6 or 7 turns, and my table closes and disappears. Main room still shows me at the table, but there is no table. I've updated Java, to the most current according to Java. Maybe if pogo wasn't as concerned with their cutsey ads running and made sure the games worked, I'd be more interested in viewing the ads. However, I've gone on to the site often enough to compile a list of their major advertisers. Emails are going out to each and every one, telling them I will not buy anything they advertise on pogo. The only way to get EAs attention is through their pocketbook, and the pissy little amount we pay for membership isn't it. We have to hit their advertising dollars and boycott their advertisers.

Worst site on the internet. I keep getting "unable to connect to server" everytime I try and play a game. If I could give this site minus 100 stars I would. I'll never go back.

Pogo is terrible, I wouldn't even waste your time. I have been trying for three days to get into a monopoly room. All that happens is it says game loading forever. I loved the game and I think this is some legitimate ad scam that they are running. They will tell you to empty your cache and change your Java settings, but it doesn't matter. Horrible site, if I could give it negative fifty stars I truly would.

I've been playing pogo games for years and have never ever won anything. Why should I pay money to Pogo when Pogo never returns the favor? I recently contacted their help site to let them know that their computers cheat. I proved it to them and the only response I got back was everything is random and they do not set up their computers to cheat. It sure is strange though that the computer wins 18 hands of cards in a row. I mean no one is that lucky!

I love my pogo and will continue to pay my membership every year! Angiegal I can tell you what's wrong with your internet explorer that keeps you from being able to play on pogo, it's the same thing that was wrong with mine and I had to figure it out for myself pogo help was no help! Open up Internet Explorer and click on tools then manage addons and enable all the java, sun java and anything else that says java and games will load then!

What I wonder is how do they know if a person "cheated" or not? What kind of magical technology do they have that tells them a person cheated? Kinda odd they make ya pay a lot for a membership but if ya win they get out of paying by saying you cheated....I haven't renewed my subscription and I have been a memeber since they started the "club" thing. I currently been playing on gamesville and bigfish....I say to heck with pogo too!!

Almost every time I am on Pogo for very long I get bumped off. Particularly in Scrabble and most of all the Rated Game of Scrabble. It is very annoying. I am almost to win and then the playing screen disappears. I get booted and I lose. I have to reboot my computer to go back in and by then someone else is in my spot or the other person has left. It is so frustrating. I love playing the games on Pogo when I can.

I havent' had any problems with Pogo but I haven't won anything big. Won $20.00 once and I got the money in about six weeks. I enjoy the games, but they have made it harder and harder to hit a jackpot. A couple of slot games require you to hit a "jackpot spin" in order to spin for the jackpot. They are few and far between. I used to feel that with the slot games you had to chance to win (yeah sure), with every bet.

I paid my membership fee and couldn't play. It kept telling me java was messed on...on a brand new computer...this one. I got this for christmas. I took java off. Re downloaded java and everything else I could think of and still got ripped out of my money because I didn't get to play one time on that membership fee.And still can't play in there. Then when it was ready to expire, they wanted me to pay again. I think their games are rigged and false players win the cash so they don't have to spend out the money. Then my son's mother in law got a letter when she won...They congratulated her on her 5000 dollar win and requested her information then wrote her and told her she wasn't elligible to win..and their reasons...some cheat program supposedly on their computer. I'm not sure but it seems to me they're planning on taking it to an attorney. I'll ask them in December when I see them.

I was cheated out of a jackpot just like you all and never got it b/c of some kind of cheat program. They are frauding people left and right. It is not fair they are sladerous. I have a group going for all people that have been done wrong by this company on MSN callled CHEATEDBYPOGO. Go check it out. I have been a paying member since 2003 also. We are looking at getting some kind of lawsuit or something going. This is so not fair!

Pogo is headquartered in Redwood City, CA. You can file a complaint against them thru the BBB on-line and the State of California's Attorney General's Office on-line. I did for libelling me with the "games code violation" letter.

Contacted them and got the "you cheated" email that they send to all their winners. FRAUD!!!! They are the cheaters! Cancel your subscription and let everyone else know. Just Google POGO and see all the complaints!

I have been a member of Pogo since 2003. I used to pay yearly until I got charged for an entire year without notification. They just automatically charged my card. Now I pay monthly but am considering quitting. I won ten dollars and was told if I did not get the money by May 5, 2007 to contact them. You cannot contact them! You just get this barrage of questions that never help. It is only ten dollars but after all these years it was something at least. I also have been having trouble with games. Such as Majong. I seem to stay on the same level every time that I play. It does not advance. And I will be in the middle of a game and get this error message and it cuts me off. I joined the club pogo because the advertisements on the regular are horrible. I am beginning to wonder if it is not a scam. Actually, putting that question in my search engine is how I found this site. Seems nothing stays good anymore. Used to be pogo was the best place to relax and play games. Now, you... Read more

2 stars are for the games: GREAT! BUT, every time they anniounce the winner of a jackpot, I posed the question: "Has anyone here every won a prize on Pogo?" Answers are: "Wallpaper - YES; CASH - NO!" I pay money to play, but others who do not pay also play, and have a chance of winning money. This does not seem fair. MY SUGGESTION: Only let non-paying players play for 2 weeks, then decide to join, or stop their playing. That way the paying members will BE ABLE TO GET ON TO PLAY, WILL NOT BE BUMPED OFF, MAY WIN A JACKPOT! Otherwise, why am I paying? It is just as well to save the yearly fee and play for free...

Pogo has one thing on it's side... word whomp. I love this game and played at least a few games a day for the longest time. I haven't been in there for awhile, but, I quit because I got tired of wasting my time submitting points for prizes I never won. I think it's a scam to get more players.

If you check out the winners list for Mar-Apr 06, you'll see that out of the 209 recent winners, only 17 of them ARE NOT Pogo Club members. However, that does not reflect the number of members vs. non-members playing online at any certain time. Clearly, Pogo.com prefers to award prizes and jackpots to their members. This isn't stated antwhere in their rules. Just another SCAM!

A week after purchasing them, pogo banned my account permanently for defending my self in a chat room, but did nothing to the attacker. Pogo is a money SCAM. They permanently ban you on one name but allow you to open another account for an additional $30.00...Shove it POGO!!!!

I can never get a good hand that even looks good-- the cards are all red -- or all black-- low numbers & same numbers. I use to play for hours--- it is not like I won anything--- why did you ruin it by changing? I like changes, if they are for the better, but this isn't!!!
