I first bought into the site and then after a couple of months realized i pretty much wasted hours of my life reading articles that never had follow up or talked about on anywhere else in the internet world. I think he just post articles that are all talk and completely blown out of proportion. just go to CNN.COM, FOXNEWS.COM, or your local news website if you need REAL/RELIABLE news.

This is more a gossip column than a reporting or analytical service.  Granted, most of the content is taken from other, reliable sources, but Drudge's "analysis and reportage" has a salacious edge that is more commonly found in a supermarket tabloid.  By his own admission, he estimates that at least 20 per cent of his own reporting is wrong. (As quoted in Mark Halperin's book "The Way to Win")More to the point he cheerfully acts as an open conduit for Republican attacks, with no pretense of objectivity and at times, scant regard for evidence of his claims.  When challenged, he usually just eliminates the story from his web-site, as though pretending it never happened.Mark McKinnon, one of President Bush's top campaign consultants,  has said Republican operatives keep an open line to Drudge, often using him to attack their opponents.   "I know that we'd have meetings and that information would find its way to Drudge," McKinnon said.Interestingly, while Drudge has developed considerable ... Drudge taps all the wire services for the top stories, including the sites loved by Left Wingers. All the Lefties favorite loon columnist are listed as well. Never any bias from other media sources, just Drudge and Fox News, this kind of stupidity never seizes to amaze me.

the press should be free and fair, but not libelous and full of propaganda like the Drudge Report. His selective reporting and outright lies about everything and everyone that is not part of the conservative movement are a disgrace to journalism.

Though it lists to starboard, I find Drudge a nice quick fix to get the latest news. Sometimes, I get scoops as much as two days before I see them in my local paper. Sadly, the Drudge Web Site is murder form a web user standpoint. You get deluged with so many pop-ups that it becomes almost unusable (many times, I end up closing every browser window, including Drudge). If only people like Drudge realize that nobody with an IQ above 70 ever bought something as a result of an pop-up ad on the Internet.

Does a pretty good job at getting the huge stories. Those of you complaining that he doesn't do any stories...what do you think the media is all about? One person at AP writes a story and ten thousand stations pick it up and read it. Do you think Tom Brokaw does his own news? By the way...Music-Fan is an idiot.

More like the Sludge report. Doesn't even do his own reporting, just passes on what others send him. Namely the GOP.

He's got links to everybody in the mainstream news and provides a great collection of stories, updated seemingly hourly. Plus with as much traffic as he gets, he's a huge influence on the web.

This is probably the best site for news. Drudge isnt out in left field like the NY Times, Time, Newsweek, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, ABC News, and Bloomberg. This lowly little guy broke the Monica Lewinsky story. CNN wouldnt, they are too liberal. Keep it up Drudge.

His links are the best source of news and commentary, from the far far left to the extreme right. That is why it is one of the "most hit" sites. I rarely read his articles, I can't say he is that far off. Even 60 Minutes puts out bum scoop from time to time. Keep it up Matt!

I like to stop by and check out the Drudge report at least once a day. A great resource for getting a wide variety of news from a lot of different sources. There's always something worth reading up on.

Drudge is a great conduit to a lot of opinion writers and wire services; his own column is biased and sensationalist, but at least he admits it up front. His accuracy track record is much better than is billed. How can CNN fabricate its vicious Operation Tailwind story, then lambast Drudge! He was right all along about that semen-stained dress you know... (and about Willey, China's theft of encryption technology, etc.)

Drudge breaks news that other news outlets chose to stifle. A great asset to journalism!
