Ligamusic claims to have a simply enormous catalog - over 200,000 albums online. This seemingly extensive catalog contains not just the latest and greatest, but also older tracks too - which lots of people (like me) are shopping for. I have had a tendency to lose CD's over the years, so this is a good way for me to reclaim (cheaply) the music I've already bought in the past.

The site MP3.com is a fairly good music site with great downloads. I liek the hardware reviews and they are pretty prefessional about the products they endorse. I have gotten thier mp3cds off thier site and they are pretty well made and they have good mp3's on the cd's they are good to test on a mp3 cd player like the aiwa cdc-mp3 if you do not a have a computer cd burner. I like the way the site looks annd the main page kinda looks like a mp3 player. I also like the song selectino there but It is mostly of new artists and it mostly is restrictive about the file transfers and limited use of those files. I also think that they limit quite a bit what you do with your music liek burning them to a cd or using them in realjukebox or a dj program, like napster is currently implementing. I don't really think it is mp3.com's fault since the riaa is doing all this anti-copy stuff. all these companies are not to blame it is the RIAA and all those greedy artists that only concentrate on the cash... Mp3.com doesn't have everything, but for what it is... It's actually pretty damn good. You'll find lots of underground or unknown bands.. Some of which will impress you.. And guess what the bands get paid, even though it's measly, they still get paid... powderburn is a great band to look into while you're there.

Yes, you have to register. Yes, they're joining forces with the evil music industry. But you can still find interesting, fun, new music there pretty easily-loads of it! Ditch Napster and you might find something extrodinarily cool. Be avant-garde!

I went to this site a couple of times, and didn't find what I wanted to. It's been a while since I last visited but it was hard to navigate. I had to turn to other resources to find what I was looking for.

This site has a vast MP3 library but navigation is not very intuitive. Download times are usually slow as well.

The MP3's on this site are amateur. They are unprofessional. The songs are unknown and therefore there is no popularity or demand.

This web site is similar to Napster. You can download free songs from this site.

I don't like MP3.com. You have to join it and fill out all kinds of member BS, and then the choice of music videos that you get to see aren't that great. You can't really download too many good MP3's, or maybe you can but it is hard to figure out.

I'm glad they are getting sued. Copyright infringement ain't cool with me. Besides, there new service "mymps", sucks.

MP3.com offers a valuable service to those who want to make their CD collection (they own) portable through the computer. The company, MP3.com, has already paid for rights to many songs, so they are already smoothed out with the business aspect of their operation.

I hate it! There aren't any good MP3s there so I use Napster or Scour. It's all for underground bands and no mainstream bands. I'm glad they got sued for $150 million, and I hope they shut down.

MP3.com is a cool place to learn about MP3's and get up to date info on the MP3 community, but I don't like the way the MP3 files are organized.

When I need something to do with MP3's, MP3.com has what I need. I think MP3 needs more reliable FTP's to get files off of. Everything should be free having to do with MP3's because we all know it's stealing, but hey, that's alright.

The software they provide is great. One thing that is bad is that they lack in MP3 files. It only allows the demos to be downloaded so that is another flaw.

The reason I gave this a one is because every time you want to download a song it won't let you for some legal reason. It's really not worth visiting this site anymore.

I think they're okay, but for inexperienced users who don't know anything would probably go to that site first. It's like the "AOL" for "MP3's", meaning it's user friendly. I think the idea of putting free downloads of independent artists is good, however, I feel putting material for sale wasn't a kosher idea. Copyright infringement isn't cool at all. I feel if there were free downloads it would be a lot more interesting. Also, I feel that they should have free samples of upcoming albums as well.

They have MP3's of a lot of really good, underground bands. The two bests bands they feature are Sworn Venegance and Antagony.

MP3.com is useless. If you want current, popular music (or even just music you've heard of) this is not the place to go. Any artist featured is usually very obscure.

MP3.com is a cool website because you can listen to music that you had or that your never had and now you can download music too. So I mean I'm on the computer constantly and I am always listening to music.

The graphic designs on MP3.com's website are some of the best. I can typically find all the music I need there. The download time is faster than a lot of other sites, and the playback quality is great.

I love MP3.com, beacause I get to hear all the good music that other artists make. That's why both of my bands have our MP3's in there (antagony.com and scoldingromeo.com).

MP3.com is cool because I like the fact that it gives me a variety of choices of MP3 players and it's plug ins. It also gives a rating on each software. MP3.com keeps me informed on what's out there. I trust MP3.com on giving me the best.

When searching for a song or artist's name, the search results gives you "out of this world" results. It doesn't give you what you are searching for. It provides streaming samples of MP3 files so you can listen to part of the song before you spend time to download it.

I personally don't like this site at all. Lot of the stuff you have to pay for. Also, it's more of the up and coming artists that one does not know about. So you really don't know what you are downloading.

Powerful outlet for many local and garage bands. It fully extracts the potential of this relatively new mass medium. Clean interface, competent selections and up-to-the-minute news on all the happenings in the mp3 world. I know of many friends that have bought CDs from tiny garage bands such as Trance.

Beam It (its download component) is fast and easy to use. I like receiving free music downloads, although many are not my choice/type of music. The new coverage (of its ongoing saga with lawyers) is quite entertaining and intelligent. Checked now by court problems. I'm rooting for them to win!

I didn't like this site because it hardly has any famous rappers. I do admit that I like there player. I think they need more well known artists on their site. The downloads are quick so that is what I like. I also find that some bands aren't that bad. I prefer Napster.
