There is nothing wrong with being a fan of a team in a different city than you. I think that the Titans message boards are flooded with pompous idiots. They seem know all about football and you know nothing...according to them anyway. You see, I've been a Titans fan since 1998 the 1st year the Titans setteled into their new home in Nashville. Personally I never cared for the Oilers. The Titans are far removed from the old team now. There seems to be something special about having a NFL team in your own state that makes it special. Before the Titans -Tennessee never hed a NFL team. That being said, To me it would be somewhat difficult to pull for a team not from this state. That's just me though. It's just got a special quality to it being an in state nfl team. Anyway, When I go to espn.com to read about my team I can't help but to notice opinions posted at the end of every article. Everyone is entiteled to their own opinion... period! There is just something about some of the old Oilers fans that burns me up. I'll copy some of the posts from espn.com so you know what I'm talking about. Here we go...from espn.com:ESPN Conversations See all 343 comments | Add a comment TexasFinatik10 says: 1/12/2009 at 3:37 PM ETEveryone is entileded to their own opinion, but at least speak educated with facts to support yourself. Vince Young needs a reciever and when he does I think he will shine. But he has no weapons got the exact same stats, just more ints that is the difference between Collins and Young. Young was more accurate then Collins just has bad awareness [email protected] says: 1/12/2009 at 3:27 PM ETThe Titans are a better team with Kerry Collins, period. I don't see how anyone can say that losing Collins makes this a better team. 1-600-DOCTORB says: 1/12/2009 at 3:16 PM ETTennessee should trade Vince Young and draft an NFL QB. V.Young will never been a great NFL QB. Keep Collins one more year and keep Simms and draft a QB. Notice the person called "TexasFinatik10". That person is obviously from Texas. Nothing wron with Texans. Notice how he tries to sound like a football expert. What bothers me is that there seems to be hundreds of people like this who feel the need to shove their pompous opinions down your throat. I don't really see that on this site. They act like they are football gods and you know nothing. Does this just happen on Titans sites or is it just me? They also act like the Titans are still in Houston. They seem to not accept reality. Once again, There is nothing wrong with being a fan of an out of state team. They seem to be proud of the fact that they are from Texas. Nothind wrong with that either. It's just something about this certain group of people that really burns me up. Maybe it's their ignorant misinformed posts and the fact that they are so opinionated and they try to make people feel inferior that are not from Texas. It's almost as if they think if you're not from Texas that your opinion of their team doesn't count. I guess the facts speak for themselves. The team is called the Tennessee Titans...Nothing to do with Texas whatsoever! Is it just me? Does anyone else see something wrong here? Please give me your thoughts. Thank you and have a great day!:-)
