01/01/2009 | I've toured a slaughterhouse before, and I thought it was pretty interesting. It didn't smell the best, but I could deal with that. I've also butchered hogs, chickens, and deer, so that's not a problem either. For relatively unskilled labor, working in a slaughterhouse actually pays pretty well. It's not exactly something I'd want to do for 30 years, but there are plenty of worse jobs out there.

01/01/2009 | I don't see the big deal. I wouldn't go looking for the job, but I wouldn't find it repellent. Of course, I don't anthropomorphise animals either.

01/01/2009 | I have a funny feeling I would become a vegetarian very fast like. Plus, I've heard that a lot of these slaughterhouses aren't too humane, and I can't deal with that.
