Recently I have suffered a major cradle cap looking scalp from this product. I seem to always have a sensitive scalp so I have always had to watch my products but this has been the worst reaction ever. My cousin looked at my scalp and it was red raw with sores and blood from scratching it. Oh my the scratching was crazy!! I still have a rash on my neck from it to. I also felt burning on my scalp and my scalp was hurting like I had had my hair up in a tight pony tail on top of my head all day, the unfortunatel part was it was down. Im sure alot of others love it and it is a product that does amazing things for my hair but unfortunately it gives me a bad reaction. :( I hope everyone else has better luck with it, but if you start to get any of these symptoms, stop immediately. Anti dandruff shampoo and condition seemed to help bring it under control.

Actually, the thing you are referring to "Coumarin" is dangerous WHEN EATEN. no offense, but read up on your stuff before you go making assumptions. If this type of hair product was at all toxic in ANY way shape or form then don't you think that we would hear stories of people getting sick, and wouldn't the health board inspect it, and do you really think those that work in the plants that process the product would be sick? So use your brain. Moroccanoil may not be for everyone, but most of the people that use the product tend to love it. So yes, this product IS safe, the ingredient list IS FINE. You are breathing in more toxins walking down a city street then you will find in a damn hair product, so please, do not listen to the guy two posts below me who is ranting without having any sort of knowledge. Although I understand your concern, just don't start spreading lies before you have done the full research yourself. Use the product and see for yourself how you feel about it.

moroccan oil is highly overated due to its massive marketing campaign. First, it is not the aragan oil that is signifigant in the formula. Silicones are what make this product fuction. Second, they incorporate an ingredient called coumarin, which is a rodentcide (rat poison) which has a moderate toxicity level according to the material safety data sheets (msds). It is toxic to all vital organs. It also contains color therefore requiring the formula to incorporate linseed oil another ingredient which has a short shelf life before giving off free radicals. They also claim you should mix this oil in oxidative hair dye formulas. Bad idea, as coumarin is not to be mixed with strong oxidizing agents. It will definately affect the performance of any reactive hair color negatively. In short this company only cares about one thing and that is profits. Terrible formulation and absolutely false marketing information

oh gosh i love this stuff...it makes my hair so soft and shiny. i have curly hair and because it is course and curly it gets tangled, frizzy and unmanageable. the moroccan oil makes my hair unbelievably shiny and soft. it doesnt look greasy nor feel oily at all to the touch. stroking my hair is as soft as petting my cat. also i love the smell. it's subtle and you have to get close to it to smell it. it's a slightly musky scent but in a feminine way. i'm so glad i tried this product it works better than my entire closet full of products. i definitely recommend it for curly haired girls!

This oil is amazing, for curly and thin hair works great, it shapes your curl without the need of adding an extra product.

I have really long, thick, wavy hair and this makes it very soft, shiny and manageable. You only have to use a little bit- it goes a long way (I've only used half the bottle in 3 months.) It won't make your hair feel greasy or weigh it down, and the scent is very light and fresh. I also notice that it reduces static when the weather gets cold. I would recommend this product to anyone!

Moroccan oil works extremely well. I've tried hair oils and creams that just didn't work for me. I have naturally curly hair and anyone with curly hair knows that shine and luster are hard to maintain all the time. And let's not mention the dryness! What I like about this product is that a little goes a long way, a dime size amount is all I need and my hair is shoulder length (when straighted). I also use this product when I do straighten my hair and have noticed that it leaves it silky and smooth. Also, the oil is light enough to use everyday without gross buildup. I will say this, if your hair is seriously damaged, this may not be the product for you. You may need to look into Aphogee's line for correcting the damage FIRST and then come back to Moroccan oil for maintenance. All in all, I love this oil. I use it on my hair wet or dry, curly or straight and have not been disappointed yet. P.S. - for those familiar with naturallycurly.com, my hair type is 3c!

I have had trouble for years with products that caused bumps on my scalp. Everything irritated me and I could hardly wait to shampoo all the products out my hair. It always felt dirty by late evening. I color and use heated styling tools on my hair. My stylist uses this oil directly in the color and it comes out fabulously healthy looking. Just a small dump into the color applicator bottle. I also use it on my damp hair after shampooing and towel drying. My hair feels so clean that when I was unable to do my hair for 3 days due to illness, it still felt great. No itching. I love this product!
