"Wow! The Nerf N-Strike Recon CS-6! OH YEAH!" That's what my brother yelled when he saw the nearly three foot long dart gun he got this Christmas. I had thought about getting the Recon since it'd first came out, but I had seen a lot of reviews on different websites rebuking it for different reasons(I'll get back to that later.) Considering that practically half of the reviews on the Recon I had seen were kinda' nasty, me and  my bro( he and i are 11 and 14 , or were as it depends on the time your readin this here reveiw) were a little cautious when openin it up takin care not to break anything. The first thing i noticed was the handle as it is a pretty fine piece of work. It makes a pretty big difference on your accuracy and trigger control when comparing it to some of my other micellaneous guns and what not. The removable stock helps take the wait off your hand and without it i find it pretty hard to aim correctly. The detatchable barrel also makes an accuracy difference and without i... Read more

This gun is amazing. It is accurate and sturdy. I shot my brother in the chest with it and it punctured his rib cage, penetrated his heart, and killed him instantly. I was so shocked by this that i went out into the garden and buried him before my parents got back. I told the police he ran away. So overall its durability, precision, and awesome color scheme make this a must have for any nerf gunner.

This was for my son (7). He has all kind of nerf gun, so this one adds to his collection. It is now 1 month later, broken. It was a great gun and he had fun for a fun days. Only thing is it's hard for him to assemble/disassemble it. and the darts are constantly jam.., but once he got it working, he loves it. It's a fun toy idea.

This is what my 10 year old son said: It is so fun! It has good accuracy and good distance. It's cool that you can change around the parts. It jams about half of the time, so it's a little frustrating. However, it's still lots of fun. It is good for aiming and target practice and for hitting stuff exactly. But it's not good for nerf fighting because it jams a lot, like I said earlier. So, you should get it if you want it for target practice and not for all out nerf fights with someone else.

We've had this for less than 24 hours and all the darts are warped and almost unusable from the constant jamming. My son is VERY sad as this was his first toy like this.

Neat concept, my stepson loves it, but it jams up constantly. Play stops, he runs the gun up to me, and it can take 2-3 minutes to dislodge the dart sometimes. By then, they're ready to play with something else. Don't waste your time on this poorly designed toy.
