Cranium Hullabaloo is great for preschoolers and recognition of objects and colors. Our two grandchildren, 4 and 5, really loved it. First you lay the vinyl pads on the floor. They are in different colors and have objects on them. A battery-operated speaker tells them to find a "red animal" or a "blue musical instrument" etc and they're supposed to stand on that vinyl pad. It goes through a number of these instructions and finally says "if you're on the yellow food,ie, you're the winner". There's a harder level that asks them to put their elbow, or toe, or finger, etc. and goes faster. Very fun.

My kids received this game for Christmas and absolutely love it. In a way it sort of reminds me of Twister. It has a battery-operated voice box that calls out commands and there are all different kinds of pads that you lay out on the floor. It will ask you to do different things like jump to a blue pad, bounce to a red pad, skip to a green pad etc... Each pad has different things on it as well like animals, food, musical instruments etc.. At the end it will announce a winner if you happened to land on the right combination of pad. There are a lot of little things that the game does to get a few chuckles out of your kids. My kids and I give this game 5 stars and I think most kids will love it

I can see where children would become a little bored with this, but it's really fun the first few times.

My son got this game for his 4th birthday, he is now 5.5 and plays with it all the time. It's great for a rainy day, because it gets the kids active and moving in a small space. It's also great to take on a trip because it doesn't take up much space and can be played anywhere. The directions are always different, we are still hearing new directions that we've never heard before. The only complaint I have, like many other reviewers is that it does not get loud enough, often we miss the directions if we are playing with a lot of children. The pads are made of an easy to clean, rubbery material, and we have never had to replace the batteries in a year and a half. Overall, a wonderful toy for little ones.

I have 3 girls very different in age (10,9, & 3). They all love this game. It is one they can play by themselves or with others. Ususally the older ones don't want to play the "little kid games" but this one they don't mind because it is fun for them. The game helps reinforce colors and shapes, but is mostly silly, and she loves that. I don't recommend many games, but this one I do.
