I have tried every brand of raw, dehydrated dog food for my dog. This one is by far the best out of all of them. It has the most meat content, it's organic and VERY easy to digest. They have exotic proteins for dogs with food allergies which is outstanding. It's hard to find a great food for dogs with food allergies. Because it has more meat than the other dehydrated brands you feed less which is great because this food is very expensive. I am so impressed with the high quality of this food that I will definitely be using it as part of my dog's feeding rotations.

I'm not sure why this food is listed among kibble brands, but if there is a food that deserves the exposure this is it. In spite of its insane price, this food also deserves all the accolades it receives. From the ingredients to the company's customer service this is one top-notch dog food. The catch is that you will be spending 200-300/month for a 30 lb dog of moderate activity levels (~750 kcal/day). I have had my dog on this food, in rotation with Nature's variety raw, Primal and to a minor extent Aunt Jeni's, ever since we switched from kibble (about 1.5 years ago). The switch was a little trickier than I had anticipated, and it took a few tries. Eventually what worked was about 1 tablespoon of canned 100% pumpkin mixed in for the duration of the switch (~ 2 weeks). In the end Bacchus is one very happy 9-year-old puppy, and judging by his latest full blood panel and urine tests, healthier than most dogs half his age. If I have a "complaint" about this food (aside from its price), i... Read more

Paw Naturaw offers America's first lines of USDA certified organic, raw, frozen and dehydrated diets for dogs and now for cats too. Flipping conventional pet food practices on its head, Paw Naturaw provides healthy food for pets by focusing on the optimal nutrient needs of canines and fulfilling these needs by blending together the purest and highest quality whole food ingredients. Uniquely, Paw Naturaw sources live animals for its organic meats as locally as possible from certified organic and documented family farms, humanely transports the animals to federally inspected processing facilities, processes the animals for human consumption, and produces each diet in its own, newly erected, USDA certified organic, FDA registered, manufacturing facility built to LEED green specifications in Lake Mills, WI. Paw Naturaw avoids using grains and leftovers from the human food industry such as high bone content ingredients like necks, frames, backs, and wings, and formulates its diets with p... Read more

I haven't heard of this raw food nor seen it around where I live, but the ingredients look pretty good. I am a complete advocate of the raw diet for dogs. I have no idea why low quality dog kibbles are even still around by now. It should be common knowledge that your dog is mainly carnivirous and cats- 100% carnivorous, and they need a natural, bio-available diet of raw meats with ground bone and fruits and veggies.I have been feeding my 65 lb GSD mix the raw diet for almost a year now as well as a fish oil, and I don't even know where to begin with the amazing improvements I have noticed. And if for some reason it's impossible to feed raw, a high quality, grain-free kibble is your next best option. (Like Evo, Orijen, Acana, Go Natural, Horizon Legacy)Unfortunately, these low quality kibbles like Science Diet, Iams, Pedigree, Kibbles n' Bits, etc, are going to be around as long as there are people who are swayed by fancy advertising and don't do their own research.

Some raw dog foods add calcium in the form of a supplement only but this food adds it in the found of ground bones, which, from what I have read, is the best way. It also ensures that there is lots of glucosamine and chondriten. Also, my dogs really love this food. It thaws completely in the refrigerator in less than 20 hours and is easy to serve. I cut the cinched end off with scissors and then scoop out what I need. To make it stretch I mix in some dehydrated raw dog food (like The Honest Kitchen). **Don't mix raw food with dry kibble. They digest at drastically different speeds so this can cause stomach upset. If you are going to feed some kibble make it a different meal and separate the two by at least 6 hours. If you are looking for a good kibble go to www.dogfoodanalysis.com. However, a frozen raw or dehydrated raw is going to be nutritious and palatable for your dog. It's good to supplement this diet with some raw meaty bones like chicken necks. I giv... Read more

Having just moved to a rural town I was no longer able to find raw food for my dogs. I had to start feeding canned and home cooked which resulted in huge poops and large amounts of gas. When I found this product I was skeptical, but I've ordered it twice now and both times it arrived completely frozen even though it was close to 100 degrees outside. Beyond that, the quality of Paw Naturaw is better than most other raw frozen products on the market since it is organic. As soon as I switched back to raw my dogs' gas went away and their poops went back to being small since there is very little waste associated with such a high quality diet. For anyone that doesn't alredy feed raw, I highly recommend it as it can rid your dog of many ailments associated with commercial pet foods. My dogs haven't been to the vet in years and they are in peak health. The extra money spent on the food is saved by not having to pay expensive vet bills and fill your dog with medications that have... Read more

Annie's is our special Boston Terrier. The food has reduced her gasseyness by 98% and on the 2% happenings it doesn't clear the room. It has also improved her coat. The only complaint we have is it that is too expensive for our 110 lbs Rottie that can eat just about anything and thrive. He was raised on a raw Diet until he was 7 and we had ER were we had to board him for a 2 weeks, so he got switched to a high quality kibble and he did well, so it stuck at third of the price of raw. It is good food, we would recommend this for the small dog sector.

I had been searching for raw organic chicken for my 5 lb Pomeranian since 3 of my herbalists said that was the proper diet for him. I came across Paw Naturaw and I am amazed that my 9 1/2 yr old dog woofed it down from the first serving and I don't have to add cheese or anything to get him to eat it. I'm going to try some of the treats on him to get him off the chemical treats that say "real flavor". Next week, I'm going to order another box of the chicken for Tuffy.

I've been feeding my yorkie with organic kibbles. Lately, she lost her interest in her 'food' so I was looking for some change. I was very skeptical about 'raw' food, but then after researching and reading all the reviews,I thought I would give it a shot. I was amazed how fast and well Amazon shipped the item not to mention the great price. When they arrived, they were as hard as rocks! First day, my dog wasn't so happy about her new food, but then shortly after the first day, she gets so excited about her food and she goes around circles 10 times (my dog expresses her happiness by going around circles). I'm glad I found something that's so good and affordable for my dog. Thanks, Amazon. I'm sure I'll be back.
