The quitessential hero, Spider-Man broke grounds when he was first published in 1962 in Amazing Fantasy #15. He broke the mold of the stereotypical superhero, he was a high school nerd that became a superhuman. However, he had the depth, because he dealt with all kinds of different problems that many reader, including myself, resonated with. An absolute gem, I hope Marvel never stops making em, cause I'll never stop reading em.

Wow I love spider man and how the character isn't the steriotype of a bulky, easy going dude. He has a lot of stress and is sorta a stuff going on in his life.

I'm giving this a 5 (Great) due to how it was when I read it as a youngster. My brother and I read Spiderman and Daredevil (back in the late 60's, early 70's) and they were both super. Extremely well-written, great plots for a comic, the artwork was the best by far and the continuing drama each monht made for great reading. How I wish I owned the first 50-60 of each.

Great when your a young kid but terribly wimpy compared to most other heroes.

What a wuss. Unlike Daredevil, his great love wasn't impaled by a deranged assassin. Not only that, he's always lucky when he wins a fight. Most Marvel heros had problems and personal demons. All Spiderman did was crack lame jokes.

The Amazing Spider-Man is a truly great book, having some of the best and most memorable comic book moments of all time, such as the death of Gwen Stacy, the first appearance of Venom, Spider-Man and the Green Goblin's "final" battle, and so many more. Some of the best pros in the biz have done work on Amazing, with some of the best being Stan Lee, Todd MacFarlane, Erik Larsen, John Romita (both Jr. and Sr.), Steve Ditko, and John Michael Stracynzki, but that's just to name a few. Spidey is comics' best superhero, and this is one comic that is almost always entertaining to read.

The Adventures Of Spiderman was an extremly well done comic book series from 1962-1990, but after that, it lost all of it's spunk, and taste. The stories which used to be filled with action, are now mushy and romantic. How corny!

I was always able to relate to spidey-man when I was a kid and I always love the guy. Swinging from rooftop to rooftop, making domes of web, wrapping up the badguys guns, doing flips and hanging upside-down. I was always facinated when he hung upside-down so I used to always climb trees when I was a kid and now I'm a gymnest. Spider-man I and always will be a classic best.

Spider Man was always one of my favorates. Was always interested with this comic. Like the way things fit together in the world of Spider Man.
