so the thermal nuclear bomb you will use to save the world can be easily taken apart with a screwdriver. yeah, thats great. i don't think the government is as stupid as it was in this movie. also, how could a redneck oil driller know more about engineering than NASA? I wonder what kind of rocket fuel they used? no shuttle today can fly half that far on its tank.

I disliked this film on so very many levels. First there was the acting, then there was the inane plot, and then there was the chick-flick element, and lastly, the horrific aerosmith song. It was sorta like titanic in that regard, with a slight attempt at less audience emasculation, I suppose.

It was ok...The whole concept was weird but I liked the line when Willis was negotiating with the government..."and they don't ever want to have to pay income tax again..."

Heroic oil drillers save the world. Excuse my yawn, but it was so bad I was rooting for the comet. Buscemi and Willis are wasted, the rest are awful.

This movie just didn't deliver the goods as much as I hoped it would. It's good, but I found myself losing interest halfway through. 3 and a half stars for a spirit-lifting ending.

I didn't find this movie to be interesting at all. It's just absolutely ridiculous. It makes you think about what you'd do if a huge meteor were about to kill everyone on the planet, but that's all it's good for. It's not entertaining, it's just stupid as the course of action the world leaders take to attempt to save the earth is about as logical as letting a Satanist give a sermon on Easter Sunday.

Everyone told me to watch that movie. So I watched it on DVD. And I was disappointed. Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck sucked. Sorry for being rude, but that is how I felt. I felt like they played themselfs and not the character. The story was interessting but I was bored out of my mind. Liv Tyler did a good job, I am impressed with her as an actress.

This a great movie, the score is wonder, the effects are great and the script is terrific. Bruce Willis and Billy Bob do a good job. The story is basically we are all going to be killed by a huge asteroid and the only way to save the earth is to blow it up. It will make you laugh and cry.

This movie is perhaps my favorite sci-fi/space type movie. The acting was incredible, and I loved the storyline, as well as the special effects. Props go to Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck. A great film! The plot went together perfectly, with comedy, drama, excitement and suspense all rolled into one. Great film!

It has a good story but some scenes are hard to see because of flashing lights.

Of all the "comets and/or meteors headed for Earth" movies that came out a few years ago, this was one of the best two. (There were only two anyway, haha). Oh well, this will keep you fairly entertained for a couple of hours, and there are some pretty impressive effects. I love watching the city of Paris, France getting blown up over and over thanks to my dvd player's jump/pause.

I am not really a fan of science fiction,m but I trully believe this deserves a higher rating. It lasted about 2 1/2 hours, but it didn't seem thatr long when I saw it. The plot came together perfectly, the acting was intense, and the special effects were some of the best I have ever seen. A bit unrealistic, but they don't call it fiction for nothing. 'Rockhound' was my personal favorite, provided some nice comic relief from the drama.

this is what i call a comic-book movie. cheesey, super-predictable plot, cliched relationships, scenerios that are an insult to science. besides the fact that space station mir doesn't have gravity, it's not big enough for so many people to just walk around in. plus and asteroid wouldn't be "worst conditions imagineable", it would just be a giant rock. but i suppose you could look past all that and enjoy a fun ride and supporting characters written with cool humor. but for me, personally, i just can't stand ben affleck and liv tyler. especially together. i know everybody loves them, but they really just grate my nerves. i love how liv tyler's character was the great little-wife-waiting at home, and the girl astronaut's character was easily-forgettable at best. plus, in a situation like that, i suppose it would be america to save the day anyway, since we're still so dedicated to our ailing space program. but it is kinda funny how these movies always make america the big heroes.

Jeez I hate Michael Bay and Jerry Bruckheimer. The sappiness and cornyness was spewing out my ears when I left the theater. They try to hard to keep a PG-13 rating, which makes them absolute phonies. The Horror...The Horror...

Armegeddon is a total waste of your time. The movie is too long and extremly boring and dull. There are no exciting scenes and you can't tell what anyone is really talking about. I would stick to something else.

One of the best sci-fi movies so far. Well directed and good visual effects. Something which has created a knowledge about space in my mind. Something close to reality.

This movie contains a myriad of elements which make it great to watch-unique characters, kick ass special effects, romance, great action, and witty dialogue. Throw in a plot of saving the world from a giant astroid and you've got a movie I wouldn't mind watching over and over again!

Awful, cheesy, cheap sets that are reminiscent of 50's era B-grade sci-fi; emotionally manipulative storyline with little depth; unbelieveable scenarios that are supposed to make us cheer the good guys, but instead, make us wonder "what were they thinking?" and finally, a favorly canned ending. Another "USA saves the world" movie ala "Independence Day!"

The movie was good because it showed excitement from the beginning. Great computer usage and I loved the story line. I liked the parts when they used high technology in the asteriod. This gives new ideas to future development in technology.

What a dumb movie! Another piece of bad entertainment from Jerry Bruckheimer. This film is loud, dumb, and full of special effects; no one with half a brain would believe the plot of sending oil drills into space to blow up an asteroid. Filled with cliche's too, from the quirky comic relief characters to the self-sacrifice of Bruce Willis at the end. A poor excuse to show an expensive CGI scene of Paris blowing up.

Regardless if it was based on a fictional tail of a meteor hitting and destroying earth, it had too much drama and suspense. It posted a 2 for just the effort. The movie had no science fiction basis, but more of a symbolic love story. You cannot replace a fantasy setting for a dating game; it's just not right. The movie should've given a more imaginary and adventurous sense.

This movie feels like an extremely long trailer for a movie that could've been good. It is filled from start to finish with special effects, explosions, and one liners designed to hold the attention of a mindless audience. There are no surprises and nothing new to see here. Watch 'Deep Impact' for a thoughtful movie along the same lines.

This movie had all the aspects of a well done action/adventure science fiction movie: comedy, drama, suspense, and a well-written, well-acted story. The audience is totally on the edge of their seats from the beginning to the end. It was so much better than 'Deep Impact'.

I rated Armageddon a 1 b/c it is a heavily hyped movie w/ no plot, no good acting and a sick "technology will save us-America can do anything" metality!
