Great movie! I am a dog lover, and have an American Bulldog so that makes it even better. My daughter loves to watch this movie over and over and I have to say everytime I watch the part where Shadow finds the little girl, and makes it home again..I shed a little happy tear. Of course my husband makes fun of me for it.. but still.. great movie for the whole family. There aren't many movies that I like to watch over and over again.. but this one of them!

People can call these children's movies if they want, but I choose to believe that all ages of people can enjoy this movie, and others like it. When I do watch movies, which isn't a lot, I choose ones that have uplifting and moral content. And there used to be plenty to choose from. Now most of the things that a lot of people choose to view is nothing but trash. That's why I look for my movies in DVD form, so I can pick and choose what I want.

I like this movie. Two dogs and a cat head out to find their masters after they are left with a pet sitter when the family goes on vacation. There are a few sad moments. The voice overs are interesting.

I like Homeward Bound, it is a cute story about two dogs and a cat names Shadow, Chance, and Sassy who venture through the wilderness to go home to their family.  There are some scenes that are tear jerker scenes, especially the scene towards the end that involves Shadow.

This is quite a sweet little remake, probably better suited to most modern kids than the original, but somehow not nearly as classic...the original version, made in the 1960s and simply known as 'The Incredible Journey', is the superior of the two in terms of quality, a smashing, old-fashioned charmer with silent but skillful animals. The basic storyline hasn't been tampered with here - two dogs and a cat, seperated from their owners, set out on a lengthy journey through the wilderness to find them. The main difference is that the animals talk this time round - Michael J Fox is ace (as always) as the manic dog Chance who gets a face full of porcupine quills, though the rivallry with the snooty feline Sassy does bring this whole empire down a fair bit - the constant bickering and taunting between the animals here prevents them from ever exhibiting the same sense of team spirit and unity that those of the original were swimming in. The cat character, my favourite from the original, is... Read more

The fact that Airplane's Robert Hayes attracted me to rent this movie. I in fact learned a good lesson, that movies that show singing nuns are in fact way better then watching a cat drown.

This movie is highly over-rated. It's same old, same old. I could have written the movie myself; it's only about 3 talking animals in search of their masters and they run into things along the way. I must admit, it's very touching, but lacks appeal and it's also rather boring.

Cute, but not nearly as good as the original. Real young kids might prefer this one because of the animal's voices(not used in the first film)but the older kids should appreciate the original. Skip this one and rent the older version, it's much better. In the original there is some beautiful cinematography and the cat gives one of the best performances I have ever seen onscreen; really.

Michael J. Fox's voice is so good as the cute young dog, Chance. It is a cute movie about a family, two dogs and a cat. It is really touching.

One of my favourite films as a child - it's still surprisingly original! I liked the different personality to each animal & the difficulties they had to face: Especially the river! Funny & warm! :-)
