Beauty and the Beast

My favorite of the Disney movies. I enjoyed it from beginning to end and it does remind us that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that love is blind. We adults are the ones that forget that and forget to teach our children to open their hearts and their minds to see beyond the surface. I'm a romantic at heart.

My favorite modern Disney film. The first animated film to be nominated for Best Picture and Best Song "Be Our Guest" and "Belle." Howver the theme song ' Beauty and the Beast' performed by Angela Lansbury remains one of the best and favourite songs in cinema.

I guess I have no problem in theory with the idea of teaching children that it's what's inside a person that counts. But on the other hand, why bother indoctrinating kids with an idealistic notion we all know just don't fly in a real world and society that places physical beauty/sexiness above all else. They're going to have to learn that hard truth sometime and I'd find it funny--if it weren't so galling--that Disney tries to propagate such a myth one the one hand, while busily cranking out sex kittens like Lindsey Lohan, Hillary Duff, and now Miley Cyrus.

A whole family watch too, at least I think. Good comedy and singing.

This is one of Disney's greatest animated films, IMO. The story is so wonderfully magical, and the music is amazing!

This is one of my favorite disney movies.  One of disney's best.

A 4 out of 5. A girl named Belle goes to a castle to rescue her father who was imprisoned by Beast. They soon become fond of each other while the rest of the village wants to kill him. Not my favorite Disney movie but its still pretty good with nice animation and music.

Teaches the false lesson that "inner beauty" trumps physical appearance. Kids will learn soon enough as they grow up that it just ain't like that in the real world.

i as a parent really like that movie and so did my kids

A very good disney adaption of a classic story. Great animation.

This is a fun film for children but for those of you who are fairy tale fanatics, it's not for you. The tale is only loosely based on the well-known classic, as the fairy tale Beauty has 2 sisters whereas the Disney Beauty is an only child. Also, the father of the Disney Beauty is an inventor, not a merchant. Overall, this is a good family movie but don't be surprised if your kids contradict you if you read them the fairy tale after watching this movie.

Disney's masterpiece, with voice actors Paige O'Hara and Robbie Benson, you got to love this film

One of the best disney movies ever. great story, great characters, and even some great songs. This movie was the first animated movie ever to be nomimated for best picture. HIGHLY recommended

One of the best disney animated film of all time. It is so cute and I enjoy it a lot. Pretty good voice acting, and pretty good all around animation, an plot. I love Disney. One of my favorite movie companies.

Although it gets points for a happy ending and good voice acting, this is just another drab and boring Disney tale that drags on for way to long. It is dark for most of the movie, there are hardly any notable touches of comedy and the songs are incredibly annoying.

By far one of the best DIsney movies there is. I've also seen the stage version 5 times and still get teary eyed at the end of it.

Best Disney movie ever. Incredible animation and the story has real heart. The songs are some of the best ever heard in a Disney movie.

this is absolutely possitively one of the greatest walt disney cartoon movies around. i was little when i first saw it but am still rather fond of it now

I really like this movie. It has fun songs and good characters and has a nice moral.

Beauty and The Beast is one beast of a movie. It starts out really, really good but after one good musical numbers, 5 minutes have gone by and you are wondering, what the heck are we doing now...talking to teapots and candlesticks?

Beauty and the Beast taught me (since I first saw it) that looks don't count as much as personality does. I admire this classic by Walt Disney. The ingenue in the cartoon is really vry right about issues.

A timeless and classic story for the ages. Interesting characters and it's very well designed. And along with the nice songs it's a classic for all young children and some adults as well.

I love them all, but I must say this is my favorite of Disney's animated features. It gives little girls an intelligent "role model" and the moral of the story(it's what's inside that counts) never gets old. Of course, the animation and music are wonderful.

Beauty and the Beast is a great Disney movie. The soundtrack is really good. My little sister really liked this movie and my little brother named out cat 'Bell', the main characters name.

Too scary for little kids but when your old enough it's great

This has to be the only Disney cartoon where the heroine isn't a bimbo or close to one. It has a good plot, suspense, and music.

The best Disney movie!! I love it so much.
