Not for everyone, this fast-paced,brutal and rambunctious movie has plenty of surprises, great performances, unforgettable lines and even lots of laughs.Black Humor Required!!!

I just want to know what was in the damn case. I've heard some speculation that its someone's soul, hence the glow when they open it.
PCPeter774 05/30/2009
Quentin at his best. Most of his movies are just too out there for me, but this had a good story, accompanied by some talented acting.
twansalem 04/10/2009
I'm sorry, but I just don't fit into the Pulp Fiction was awesome crowd. I just don't get it. It barely had a story line, the pieces of which didn't fit together. It relied more on trying to shock you than on actually telling a story. When it was over I was left wondering what the hell it was I had just finished watching. Quentin Tarantino is extremely overrated.
Spike65 04/26/2008
Best of Tarrentino so far. Bruce Willis showed he can do a bit of acting when he has to.

Butch: I think I cracked a rib. Fabienne: Giving me oral pleasure? Butch: No, retard, from the fight.
CanadaSucks 03/29/2008
Not an easy film to stomach- but still one of the most fearless movies of the 90's. . .vicious and hilarious dialogue. . .watch it again and think about how tame Hollywood has become.
traditionalist 03/29/2008
Empty, nihilistic, boring, overrated, this movie has it all. But I guess it's enough for the critics to praise it and we will think it's a masterpiece and the director a genius. Carnage? No, it's a work of art. Unnecessary violence? No, you have to see beyond that. You sit through the movie and in the end you ask yourself "what do these people want from me?"

The movie I can watch over and over again
Randyman 10/01/2007
I really did not care for this movie. I know it was a hit, but as far as I'm concerned it was way over rated. With the exception of Bruce Willis' character, this movie had absolutely no redeeming value.
fluffytuffy 06/28/2007
I absolutely HATED this movie! I could never figure out what all the fuss was about, I did not like any of the characters, did not like the acting, did not like the story, and I kept waiting for it to get even mediocre and it never did--what rot!
Wheelerdr 05/22/2007
Tarentino's best by far, started the whole 3 or 4 stories in one movie all interconnected such as Magnolia or Babel.
GenghisTheHun 04/08/2007
Why do the critics love this over-ripe piece of tripe? It is hideous.
reaverto 04/08/2007
Still waiting for Tarantino to match this. Have not seen Grindhouse yet so maybe the jury is still out. Very original and trend setting. Excellent dialogue, Walken's cameo steals the show.

Pulp Fiction is one of the best damn movies ever! the action is great, the plot is good, and Uma Thurman is in it! I love this movie! However, I do have a problem with Travolta's hair. It's pretty weird looking.
Jeremy00081 10/01/2006
This movie is basicly just trash (like most Tarantino films), but, (like most Tarantino films), it's fascinating. Not for the queezy....but if you can handle a little sleaze, check this one out.
supremecritic 09/14/2006
i'm sorry to all the people that love this film but i don't see whats so good about it. it doesn't even have a real story line
ungodlyugly 07/13/2006
Uma ruins it.
Limpin' Trenchfoot 12/02/2005
If, like Tarantino, you find humour in murder and torture then you're one sick mutha who needs pyschiatric help pronto. Why this film has become so iconic I dont know. It's cretinous rubbish.
jerricabenton 11/28/2005
It is just boring.
Zackergrr 11/25/2005
This movie was violent for no reason and the whole plot was violence. In this movie, killing people was supposed to be funny. But I didn't laugh at one thing, not even when they shot the guy when they went over the speed bump. It didn't deserve to win or be up for any Oscars. This is an over-rated movie about people who think murder and violence is funny.
Nichele 08/18/2005
Nasty violent movie, walked out of the theater half way through the movie !!! Glorifying and laughing at killing people, sick !!
boxingwiz-mr.right 08/11/2005
um......brilliant!
PlanetaryGear 08/09/2005
I admit, you have to be a little twisted to like this movie, but that's the shear JOY of it for fans that appreciate it...It's twistedness that is.
lefthandedprop het 07/31/2005
my favorite movie of all time, pulp fiction is a masterpiece. i love everything about this film from the memorable characters with real personalities(samuel l jackson as the scripture quoting hitman), the humorous conversations (now look, maybe your method of massage differs from mine, but you know touching his wife's feet and sticking your tongue in the holiest of holies ain't the same f***ing ballpark. it ain't the same league. it ain't even the same f***ing sport.), and the excellent directing by quetin tarantino.
Wid71 05/23/2005
I love this movie. The cast is phenomenal, the dialog is very entertaining, and the storyline is too cool. One of Tarantinos 3 best (True Romance and Resevoir Dogs being the other 2). And yes, I am a little twisted. LOL
kattwoman 05/14/2005
tarantino is unique when it comes to his movies. he casts those that are perfect for their roles and you could never imagine anyone else playing the part. this gave john travolta a comeback that was never expected to happen and it showed how much talent and ability to play other parts
dpostoskie 04/07/2005
Entertaining all the way through. Never a dull moment and full over every emotion. QT knows how to cast the right person to get the best out of them and make a kick*ss ride out a movie.
Supercross 04/05/2005
Obviously one of the greatest, but definitly it won't appeal to all people. This is cleary a dialogue movie, meaning that most of the movie consists of just dialogue, whether in a car, at a house, or at a bar. But don't get the wrong impression from this. There is great action at the right times and there are a huge amount of famous actors/actresses in this film. Definitly not my favorite, but right up there.
louiethe20th 02/12/2005
Way,way, overrated and overhyped just like the Kill Bill movies.Warped and twisted just like every other film Tarantino does, but when you have a twisted mind what else can you do?I challenge Tarantino to make another Genre of movies. If he truely has talent (which I doubt)it will show.
largerthankemp 02/12/2005
EXCELLENT MOVIE! If you arent the into violence type, WHY DID YOU EVEN GO TO SEE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE?!?! Did the previews come across as family friendly?
cw_strange 01/15/2005
I have watched this film countless times and I never get tired of it. Quentin Tarantino's characters and dialogue are second to none.
Byrdiohead 01/07/2005
Such intelligent and sophisticated direction is perfectly complimented by Quentin Tarantino's masterful screenwriting. Nobody turns a phrase quite like the Knoxville native. This is by far the most popular film he's ever directed and yet it may not even be the best. In Pulp Ficiton he takes what he did in Reservoir Dogs with unchronological story telling and refines it beautifully. Reservoir Dogs my be the more exciting of two, but this one is more concise and important. Best Scene: Jules Winfield's pre-killing monologue.
The Slacker 12/17/2004
Quinten Tarantino has a way to create a story, make it go backwards, than flip it upside-down, and make you want to rant and rave about it for the rest of your existance. Out of the few movies he has made this is my favorite. And I will strike down with great vengenance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengance apon thee. -Pulp Fiction
Yobsthead 11/24/2004
I hated this disgusting, vile, vulgar, wretchedly excessive bloody mess.
lojack 08/27/2004
one of the top five greatest films ever!!!!! and if you did not getit you are an idiot!
Tompson 08/22/2004
Tarantino's best and my favorite movie. Unique, thrilling, and has some of the best written dialoge ever. What else hasn't already been said. A great movie.
keithbernardco ok 08/14/2004
I like a film that makes some sense - this did not!!
jaywilton 08/02/2004
One of those films where the violent scenes appeared to have been written by an emotionally disturbed person, who'd never seen anything.
afropath 07/29/2004
I would say something but you've already said it all; This movie is awesome!
DeShaddow 07/25/2004
Am I the only one that just didn't get it?
Jamie McBain 06/24/2004
One of my favorite Quentin Tarentino films, next to Kill Bill and Reservior Dogs.
sliptodd 04/18/2004
One of the greatest movies of all time. I found my self puzzled and thrilled. There is a never ending climax to this movie. The plot, and story line is great. Amazing actors and acting take this film from a story board and turn it into a real in your face sort of movie. Great movie, deff. worth buying or renting. -sliptodd-

Yet again, another film by Tarintino seeping with style and finesse. His editing and storylines are absolutely seamless - he effortlessly moves the plot from the past to the present, from one characters perspective to another to the point where its a work of art. And Samuel Jackson just radiates cool.
TS15210 04/04/2004
I loved it.
pennyroyalty 04/03/2004
I love this movie. I think it's Tarantino's best. There's so much going on and i love the way everything affects everything else.

Released in 1995 and directed by the eccentric Quentin Tarantino, Pulp Fiction is a landmark film of the 1990's. For the uninitiated, the movie intertwines several seemingly independent plots dealing with the dark underworld of crime, drugs, sexuality and violence. What makes the movie so compelling (and to some disturbing) is that the violence and situations seem genuine and believable. The characters act so nonchalantly through the tempest of their lives as if there is nothing is out of the ordinary. Almost a show about nothing on steroids. The viewer can see that these seemingly extraordinary events and situations could actually happen, and probably do in parts of Americana that few want to see firsthand. Moreover, the film had top-notch music and casting, including John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson as hit men, Bruce Willis as a struggling boxer, Harvey Keitel, Ving Rhames, Uma Thurman, and Christopher Walken. Finally, Tarantino uses a nonlinear editing process which increases the frantic aspects of the story. The bottom line is that Pulp Fiction is by no means for everyone and is only for mature viewers due to language and violence; however, the film remains one of the best movies in the 1990's in its or any genre.
kolby1973 02/25/2004
This is ONE of 3 movies that I have walked out of in midshow. This piece of junk should have never been created. It is senseless violence, and it really has no storyline worth mentioning. The scene of male rape was really disgusting, and it is what broke the camels back. You can believe the theatre gave our money back as we left. And we weren't the only ones. Quentin Tarantino is possibly one of the worst directors of all time as well. I do NOT recommend this senseless movie to anyone. It will leave you feeling dirty, sick and just bad if you watch it. This movie also made me lose TONS of respect for John Travolta, Rosanna Arquette and Bruce Willis...
ClassicTVFan47 02/24/2004
Absolutely terrible movie. Retched. Not worth anything at all.
