Postman (Il Postino)

You know, this was such an immemorable film for me. It was recommended by a fello foreign film lover, but I was disappointed. Perhaps I was too hyped up? I don't know, I just didn't think it was that great.

This is a superb Italian film and tells the story of a poor postman who delivers mail to the hands of famous poet in exile, Pablo Neruda. The postman's life is changed by Neruda and he learns to read and write poetry, as well as become active in politics. A must see!

This was a strange, moving story. It perked up my interest in Pablo Neruda, whose poetry is divine.
