While I'm not much of a Who fan I have to admit this is an almost must-own in the CD collection.

This album is classic. There is no other word for it. The Who are in prime form. Roger Daltrey is incredible on songs like "Baba O'Riley", "Won't Get Fooled Again", and "Bargain". Pete Townshend is hands down one of the best songwriters of the century.

I can't believe that this album is so far down the list, this album is probably the third best album of the decade, just behind Kiss: Alive! and Van Halen: Van Halen.

Won't Get Fooled Again alone makes this a good album.

Pete Townsend took the band to a new level of power that was only hinted at on Tommy. I still prefer Sell Out and My Generation for their raw energy but this would be their best album of the 70's.

A masterpiece and one of the top albums of that decade. 'Won't Get Fooled Again', 'Behind Blue Eyes' and 'Baba O'Reily' are highlights here.

One of this bands strongest albums, with a cover that was pretty bold when it was released."Baba O'Riley","Bargain", "Going Mobile" and "Won't Get Fooled Again" stand out in my mind as the heavy cream here.

Not the most 'interesting' of their albums IMO, and much of it is quite overplayed, but there's no denying it's well deserved status as a classic.

I started burning a best of The Who CD compilation for myself and realized that you really need to include 5 or more songs from Who's Next. The 5 songs that belong on The Who's top 20 are Baba O'Reilly, Bargain, Goin' Mobile, Behind Blue Eyes, We Don't Get Fooled Again. And I'm sure there are other Who fans who would pick the other songs from the album: This Song is Over, Getting in Tune, My Wife and Love aint for Keeping. This is one of those must albums for everyone's collection. Plus if you buy the re-issued CD, it has some extra songs that were part of Townshend'd Lifehouse project that didn't quite make it to Who's Next, which is unbelievable because they are great songs like: I Don't Even Know Myself and Pure and Easy

If not the best rock album, it's in the top three. Even if your not a Who fan it's hard to deny the quantity of classic R&R cuts off this disc. Back in the early 80's my older brother turned me on to it and I thought it was a "greatest hits" album.

Though on the surface it appears as merely one of the greatest collection of songs ever, Who's Next was the result of Townshend's ongoing Lifehouse Project. This is topped by few as far as greatness of songs on an album goes. You can't go wrong with songs like Going Mobile, Bargain, Baba O'Riley, and the classic epic "Won't Get Fooled Again." The raw power displayed on this album makes it one of the top ever. This is pinnacle of the Who's success and it is just the apex of their greatness.

This assemblage of leftover parts from the LIFEHOUSE project is wall to wall brilliance. Thankfully, Glyn Johns was twiddling the knobs! It was a landmark album then, and hasn't dated one bit. A must-have for any music enthusiest.

Two things you can say about The Who: 1) They have been the most underrated hard rock band of all-time and 2) Their sound is so signature and pure, no one else sounds like them. It's virtually impossible to emulate them. It's unfortunate they lost another member recently (Entwhistle).

Whoa. Whoa. I mean...whoa. What a terrific album. "Behind Blue Eyes" is one of the best ballads ever written. And "The Song is Over" is one of the greatest SONGS of all time! Plus, "Baba O'Riley" (and no, people, the song is not called "Teenage Wasteland", even thought that's what it should be called) has an amazing synthesizer or guitar or whatever plays all those really fast notes (see, it's so good I can't tell what instrument it is!). An album for everyone who likes music, REAL music, not bs.

A masterpiece, and possibly the best single recording in rock history. The Who created a synthesized masterpiece in the wake of the doomed Lifehouse project. The compositions are all strong, and can stand alone or as a set.Perfectly engineered. Four career highs for the musicians. A collective masterpiece. Also notable for being the FIRST album to include syntesizers (and not only s color, but as a beat driver). The first band to invert the formula -- let the drums lead and bass hold the lead together, while the guitar adds fourish and synths keep time. Matching this would be suprising.

This is a beauty! I bought this in 71, and it took a couple of plays to really get into it.Every track fits the overall mood, with "wont be fooled again" played to death at full blast, when there was any excuse for a party!

This 1971 album is full of some of the most remembered Who songs of all time. Pete Townshend writes songs that when sung with Roger Daltrey's powerful vocals completely pull you into his own emotions. Known for their live performances, The Who very nearly capture the energy of their lives shows on this LP.

An excellent sounding classic rock group in the forefront of alternative classic rock. Their at home style mixed with attention getting lyrics are an acquired taste that I have acquired.

Some believe that the Beatles were the originators of modern rock. However, The Who led by Roger Daltrey were the first individuals to introduce hard sounding Rock & Roll to America. The CD Who's Next personifies their talent with songs like Baba O'Reilly, Bargain and Behind Blue Eyes.

A lot of the Who's stuff has NOT aged well (e.g., Tommy, Who Are You and all that crap), but this and the early singles (Meaty Beaty stuff) remain essential. The best thing about that Summer of Sam movie by Spike Lee was its use of "Wont Get Fooled Again". Great stuff!

Perhaps the single most overproduced, over-rated rock album ever recorded by anyone ever. It sounds like the studio was underwater and on qualudes.

This is an all-time classic and a great choice if you want to purchase your first Who album. Baba O'Riley, Behind Blue Eyes, and Won't Get Fooled Again are some of the highlights.
