Only one name summarizes MSNBC and the quality of their programming: 'Caylee Anthony Weiner.' I'll go to hell for that, but I'm a step ahead of you :0)

MSNBC used to be higher on my list of things I watched but has lost lots of points recently. Why - because Rachel Maddow and Keith Olberman have become nearly the blustery, nitpicky, over-the-top, name-calling editorialists that Glenn Beck and Limbaugh are. Well they aren't that bad but they have clearly gotten away from factual reporting and spending more time on blustery emotional editorials, - no thank you.

Wow, the old guy on there is really mad about the Sarah Palin new talk show on Fox. If he wants to see the Cool guy and the country singer guy there why doesn't he look at other ones then? (I know kidding) They know you can see the show. He goes on and on. The next one the girl is so interesting too. I think she was going over saying how the Republicans only wanted drilling. They are just about ready to have steam coming out the top of their heads. The Democrats are very angry at Fox. I would just about rate it bad but I suppose it is some good for news especially if you need to see what they are up to. It is very slanted to the left.

It's so. . .American. . . . . .fast graphics, ADD-like presentations, inch-deep and mile-wide with little substance, and too much left-leaning as opposed to delivering 'news' it's anti-matter to FOX shite - and that's not what the culture needs. . .and that's not what many voters or viewers want. There are moments when the network works and does a good job - but I just don't care for constant spin-doctoring no matter who benefits. It's a network that could be so much more.

Decent news channel. Good presentation and personalities. FOX News fans and apologists like to claim that because MSNBC is "liberal" (the newscast during the day is more center-right), FOX gets to be as far-right wing as it wants. Wrong.

I think MSNBC is doing fairly good job of giving fair and balance news to the audience. I love the news cast they have, cream of the crop. Keep up the good job.

The left leaning alternative to right leaning Fox News. Curiously, ratings for their shows have been going up while those for competing shows airing on Fox News and CNN in the same time period have been going down.

A shameless lapdog for Obama and his radical left-wing agenda. No objectivity, irresponsible one-sided commentators who do not even attempt to maintain an aura of smart, non-partisan objectivity primarily because each was hired FOR their zealous ideological views. They call themselves "the Place for Politics. " I'd add the suffix, ". . . as Long as You Love the Unchallenged Liberal Viewpoint. " Consistently low ratings, unless you borrow Lena's sliderule.

Too liberal, too baised, too unrealiable, and too predictable in reporting the news, and not serious enough with the issues. I don't appreciate the humor of Keith Olberman and his sidekick, Rachael Maddow, as it takes away from issues of the day. And their derogoratory comments about certain politicians and television/media personalities I find to be quite nasty and unnecessary.

Big improvement over where they were four or five years ago, when the didn't seem to know what the hell they were doing. At least now they're competent, if often dull.

What were they thinking at the MSNBC when they decided to put Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews to anchor the political news coverage for this election cycle? Aside from the understandable grief and its otherwise brilliant coverage of the late Tim Russert (an homage which Russert wholeheartedly deserved), MSNBC has become extremely biased as Olbermann (no surprise here) and Matthews (to some extent) have done away with their journalistic professionalism in favor of blurting out their bias at every possible moment on any telecast. At least Matthews has the ability to keep his opinions to himself once in a while. But Olbermann? The ever-smug, childish Olbermann is likely the least objective person in any news outlet today, and if MSNBC thought he could attract a young demographic to tune in, his daily tirades against conservatives, Republicans and those he disagrees with (including Joe Scarborough and Pat Buchanan- which became ugly at the recent Republican National Convention) have tur... It has a good talking heads lineup at night. It is a worthy addition to the 24/7 group.   I really like its lineup for the 2008 election with the exception of the blowhard, Keith Olberman.  He is hard to take on a regular basis.  He is one of those stupid people who thinks he is smart.  Sad.

I notice some of those posting declare that FOX News is a tool of the GOP or the right. But they somehow contend that CNN or MSNBC is neutral. That's a joke! CNN by any ive standard leans (hard) left and their reporting falls well short. Many of their stories have even had to be corrected later by themselves. MSNBC is way to liberal. Their daytime news is usually straight but at night LOOK OUT! Nobody is more of a blowhard for the left than Chris Matthews & Olberman is a raging idiot! His "commentaries" are straight off the left-wing crazy blogs! Nobody watches him except his mother. The O'Reilly Factor's ratings at 3am (reruns) even beat his PRIMETIME show at 7pm (CDT). You can't argue with ratings folks! MSNBC has tried to counter by putting some foxy female announcers on their but it's useless...

Tucker: I am very gald that your show is put on late night. You like to talk out of your mouth without thinking. You should rename your show as a war zoon for whom likes to hear you blindly and emotionally provoked just like you. The worst of all shows so far.

Not horrible. I used to watch Hardball, until Chris Matthews contradicted the name by practically licking John Kerry's shoes. Scarborough is okay, Pat Buchanon can be entertaining, and I generally like most of their anchors.

Any channel that airs Countdown with Keith Olbermann is already in the running for best channel ever, but with Chris Matthews, Ron Reagan, and (soon) Tucker Carlson, it wins hands down. Dan Abrams is hot but kind of a prick, and Joe Scarborough is just a tool.

Probably has the best looking female anchors. Also has the best Saturday news coverage of the 3 cable news networks. However, big demerits for putting blowhards like Mike Savage, Pat Buchanan and Joe Scarbourough on the air.

Ridiculous waste of air-time. I mean seriously one day I was watching MSNBC at Noon and the camera was moving around the television studio and the female anchor was walking towards the desk and the music kept getting more dramatic and this lasted about 2 minutes, it was just too funny. The News sucks, Chris Matthews is the only good thing about MSNBC.

Not as good as Fox but their ratings suck. They also have a lot of taped programming on the weekends while CNN and Fox have live news. Flatliners and Semi-Legends has been played to death.

Basically, it just stinks of liberal bias! Chris Matthews is a joke and besides that, he's tedious. They ought to call his show Spitball because that's all that comes outta his roaring mouth.

As its parent network, NBC, pretty liberally biased. Hard to say it isn't when you have the Chris Matthews's of the world in prime time. Good coverage majority of the time, a pretty boring channel when there is no major story.

If you're looking for a moderate news channel, MSNBC may be the best available option, even if they lean a little left. I wake up watching Imus and sometimes turn in after watching some Scarborough.

This news network has a definite identity problem. FOX News is a propaganda piece for the neo-con right, CNN is regarded as more liberal, but it really isn't. MSNBC was left wing last year when they hired Donahue, who flopped against Bill O'Reilly. The year before, it became the ubber patriot station in an attempt to outflank FOX. Now, they don't know exactly where they're at. I have some ideas for them; why don't they go back to having some respectable journalism on their channel. Enough with the emphasis on these inconsequential celebrity trials; report some real news for once. My problem with the media in general is that they don't force the American people to really think about the issues at hand. They lay out and digest arguments for people rather than encouraging national debate. Then they don't even bother to talk about the stories that we should be discussing. When we go to war, they give us pictures of pretty fireworks rather than discussing the long term aims of the war or wh... Read more

used to watch it a lot, but as soon as MSNBC realized that it was losing viewers to more biased channels like Fox News, they beefed up the patriot bit. I loved watching the fur fly between these two channels as they went back and forth over the Peter Arnett/Geraldo fiasco. It was just like being back in Jr. High. The highlight of MSNBC's fall from respectful journalism occured the night when Baghdad was liberated and I watched Joe Scarborough. He reminded me of a drunk frat boy celebrating a football victory over a keg with his buddies. "Yeeeeaaahh Boys! That Garafalo bitch with her anti-war crap is done, baby done! Who's da big dawgs? We's da big dawgs! Go US Yeeaaahhh!"

I like this channel. I don't mind the news stories scrolling across the screen, and I don't mind the logo. The only thing that really bugs me is the fact that they show the same programs several times throughout the day, and I'm not a fan of Imus. However their programs are still more watchable than most other news channels!

It is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to watch anything on this channel. You get this great big logo blot in TWO corners, not just one. Then you get this constant crawl across the bottom of your screen to further distract snd annoy you. Maybe this channel's content might be worth viewing, I don't know... I can't stick around long enough to find out.

In recent times, MSNBC has been struggling a lot in viewers since they are ranked 3rd of the news channels. One of the reasons for this is that they are too talkative during news broadcasts, including some of their prime time programming. A lot of news programs have been cancelled such as Curtis and Kuby and "On Location", but most of them weren't really any good. Donahue is soon to be cancelled by the end of this year. MSNBC is better off as a website than a news channel.

My favorite news channel and I am a constant channel surfer. I guess I started really paying attention to them when Princess Diana got killed. I was impressed with the comprehensive coverage. And since Sept. 11 and throughout the war against terrorism coverage, I am even more impressed with their excellent features and coverage. I especially appreciate the closed-captioned current news-bits that are constantly horizontally scrolling across the bottom of the screen. So even if there is some other news being shown and talked about at the moment, you can immediately read the most important current news on the bottom of the screen. I hope this feature will continue after the terrorist coverage dies down because it's an easy way to check out the latest on TV without waiting for the next officially scheduled news broadcast time.
