I loved this show. It was something different every week and Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell were appealing enough to carry the show with just two regular charecters. As with any time travel show, if you examined it too closely you would find problems, especially since he was actually leaping into other people's bodies. If you just wanted to sit down and watch an entertaining, enjoyable show, there weren't much better.

I so wished that I could leap through to different places and times. Try something new.

Does this play on TV anymore? This was an awsome show.

Loved when he would go back in time as a woman...hilarious!

"Pigs in space" science with a cast that looked like they'd been recruited out of the extras pool and scripts that appeared to be written by the producer's half-witted nephew.

I tried to never miss this show ~ probably because Scott Bakula was so darn good-looking!! Actually, some episodes stand out really well with me (even after almost 20 years).

Overall a fine show. Dean Stockwells' womanizing character was tiresome though. The stories were well written and enlightening for the most part.

Wondering were Sam were would leap to next, and if he would ever leap back, was one of the things, that kept me watching the show, than and Al.

Best Sci Fi tv of the 80's... hands down

Clearly one of Donald Bellisario's better creations, I always enjoyed "Quantum Leap". I never watched this series during its original run, but I got hooked on the show during reruns some years back. The time travel premise allowed for varied plots, and the screenwriters could incorporate historical references (albeit with some liberties) with which viewers could readily identify (e.g. the Kennedy assassination). Scott Bakula (Dr. Samuel Beckett) brought enough humanity to the main character, though Dean Stockwell's (Rear Admiral Albert Calavicci) comic relief got tired on occasion. Nevertheless, each episode usually had an interesting plot twist (i.e. the fix wasn't always as the characters initially determined), and that feature was also an asset for the series.

Very cool show that had something completely different every episode, and made me think deep for a change.

I always liked this show and still watch it now and then on Sci-Fi. It was different and interesting. "Oh boy"

My favorite show of all time. I have always been fascinated with time travel. Most time travel in movies/series have to do with 1 plot in 1 location (after the time travel). This series aired 97 maybe 98 episodes and everyone of them was in different locations and time periods. A classic, anyone how rates this show lower than a 4 has obviously never seen it.

Entertaining, funny, and it made you think! Also made you realize how one person, one action, can change so many lives--wish this show was still on.

It's a great show with a usually great story line. It was unique then, and is still fairly unique even by today's standards. I watch the re-runs from time-to-time and still enjoy it.

I absolutely love Quantum Leap - and I've stayed up plenty a time to watch it!

This was a great show with a interesting twist on an old story. Sam a guy lost in time with the only link to his time is a hologram of his friend and co-worker. He has to make things right every time he leaps through time. A great concept and a wonderful show with good storys and great acting.
GobTheHotCop 10/26/2005
This just wasn't a good show at all.
AvalonMan96 08/29/2005
One of my favorite shows of all time! It mixed humor, drama, and history in a way that it was very entertaining and very rarely, if ever, boring. Name any show today that can do that (I can hear the crickets chirping). This show should've gone on longer than Law and Order, a show not nearly as great as QL. There'll never be another like it!

A good show to watch.

'Quantum Leap' was one of my favorite shows ever as many like me followed the time-travel adventures of Dr. Sam Beckett and his guide Al, weekly. This show had it all as it was the epitomy of sci-fi and drama, mixed in with a little sense of humor here and then. But what made this show one of the greatest of its time was how it somehow brought out the child in us all, and triggered the dreams of time-travel for making things, which may have gone so wrong, so right. Maybe it did rekindle a nostalgia for which 1950s shows like 'Lost in Space' and 'Twilght Zone' earlier had. Whatever it was, this show was wonderful!

My wife and I loved the series!! It's one of my all-time favorites!
Nightbird 01/21/2005
I liked how the guy would go in someone's body but he never went in to a famous person I'd leap into who ever is dating a sexy female model.

My mum's favourite so it's gotta be good!
CapAnson 09/03/2004
A classic of the premise type of show.. where everything hinges on one plot device.. in this case Sam getting home. Fascinating historical stories too.

a little corny
Jimbo04 07/28/2004
My favorite show to end the 80's and start the 90's. Could be funny at times. Scott Bakula did one of the best acting jobs ever as Sam Beckett. Two future stars got their start on Quantum Leap: Jennifer Aniston (was on an episode in the last season)and Patricia Richardson (eventually plays the wife on 'Home Improvement'.

Awesome show! Definately one of the best shows ever.
mopapa 07/12/2004
Best show of its generation, and may very well be the best show of all time (if the final season is taken out of the mix). Incredible writing, acting, directing, music, etc. Highly, highly recommended.
zigzig 07/07/2004
This was a very original and entertaining show, and each week featured a whole new set of characters and locations. The shows were even set in different time periods.

second only to the original Star Trek as the best Sci-Fi series ever

Top notch. Only show I have ever cared to watch. Great actors, place where some current/recent stars got a break, Sharon Stone, Terri Hatcher.
Dawnsdinos 03/15/2004
It had some very interesting episodes.
Rufieo30us 02/17/2004
This is my all time favorite tv show. Sam Beckett is such a great wholesome christian minded charecter. He amazes me with every leap that he did. I sure with they would make a tv movie.
Moonstone 01/17/2004
Loved it! Great charactors and stories.

Loved the show..........
MissMellie 12/13/2003
This is one of my favorite TV shows of all time. NBC really screwed with this show and that is a damned shame. The science fiction aspect is cool but I like the drama, infused with humor, as well as the excellent interpersonal relationship that Scott and Dean have on screen. You cannot fake that. Excellent show.
Jonsimzadi 09/17/2003
The best TV series ever! Definitely my favourite of all time. The writing was on the whole excellent, the stories thought provoking, sad and funny, but most of all the acting was superb. Both Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell deserved all the plaudits they earned and then some. A great shame that the show was cancelled and the opportunity to make a film never taken. QL rules OK
Miri 09/16/2003
A true classic. It had everything: drama, comedy, music, plotlines. I can think of no other series that touched all the bases. Excellent writing, fabulous acting. Sure wish they'd bring this one back in either some TV movies or a feature film. Heck, WHERE ARE THE DVDS???
Jenny Drury 08/12/2003
Boring.
kahfess 07/11/2003
I thought this was a great show. Sam always ended up in such a pickle but worked his way out of it. I really enjoyed watching this one.
MeatLamp 06/03/2003
It's a great show and all, but one thing still nags me about it. Al's communication device was just a few Legos clumped together with some LED's inside of it. I still don't get how that worked out.
amblin 05/20/2003
One of my all time favorites! Big mistake when this show was cancelled.
Buffy40plusyrs 03/01/2003
I really liked QL and "fell in love" with Sam *and* Scott Bacula right off! I was, and still am very disappointed that circumstances in my life mandated me sissing most of the last season.
Jason1972 01/30/2003
No ther show exited better than this show, it's good to go out on top.
