I don't know why anyone would rate this show so darned low. Although I wouldn't exactly put this show at the top of my list, it's pretty good to watch once in a while. I like it because too many shows about adolescence in recent years have to get nasty in their talk and their actions in order to "prove" that the kids are "growing up", when that doesn't have to be the case. As for the stereotypes, we're going to find them everywhere, especially in comedy.

Saved By The Bell marked the end of Saturday morning cartoons. This is not a positive thing. Saturday morning cartoons were usually clever and funny. Shows like Saved By The Bell just had bad writing.

I only watched this show because I was sitting in the livingroom when my daughter watched it. Oh yeah! high school was really like this. I think Medgar Evers hit it on the nail when this show was described as "filled with stereotypes". I have a hard time tolerating a show where the good looking people have it made. Zack always got away with murder. If someone is "less cute" they are a geek. the adults in the show are idiots. I think the only decent year for this show was the first one with Haley Mills.she played the only adult with brains in the show. I will accept the fact that this show was not geared toward the adult audience. but frankly with all the stereotypes this show has I think it would be insulting to the age group this show was aimed at...

I always thought this show was corny, but Screech is one the funniest characters ever created. Nerds are hilarious for some reason.

The show was good at dealing with teen issues but I found it annoying. It was a little over acted.

A typical tacky 80's show! And yet another train wreck that TBS has been shoving down our traps since 1992. TBS doesn't get it that change is good!

Every saturday morning my kids would come into my room, turn on the TV and we would watch Saved by the Bell. It was just good simple, clean fun. I actually liked it.

The stars are all for Kelly. She is a BABE. The rest of the cast, Zack, screech, the Puerto-Rican, the porno queen and the girl of color did not make for an entertaining show.

I get sick of all these shows (and there are so many) where the young people are always smart and sophisticated and the adults are idiots. There's an awful lot of self-worship among these people. It's embarassing to watch.

My favorite TV show of ALL-TIME! I think I spent most of my childhood and tween years watching Saved by the Bell. It was a ritual... and I didn't even care if the episodes were repeats because I enjoyed the characters so much. No TV show will ever surpass the enjoyment factor that Saved by the Bell had!

This is a great teenage show to watch and to learn about what it means to go to school and to learn from mistakes of what it means to go to school during that time. Zach always tryin to make things go his way, which in most cases never did because of always the mess up of SCREETCH the goofy charecter who always made things worse. The other charecters were great as well especially the PRINCIPLE! He always made me laugh.

I'll admit I used to watch it too. But it's like someone who grew up in the '70s or late '80s looking at their high school yearbook and thinking, Ugh! Look at those clothes and hair! What the HELL was I thinking?

I personally found this show to be stupid and annoying. However I can see the appeal to teens and kids. It's a good Saturday morning alternative to cartoons.

This is a show for young kids with no attention span. The show evolved from a midwest setting to the Ca. Valley vacated by Moon Unit Zappa. The show never explained moving, losing characters and then welcoming them back. Zack ,Screech, Lisa and Belding were the only characters from every season. In my high school Zack would be paying a cut from his pimping to Slater,The girls would be working hard and Screech would be friends with the janitor.

I grew up on Saved by the Bell. Let me tell you. I had a crush on Slater and Zack and wanted to be the girls. It wasn't a bad show either, considering. I really like it.

THIS SHOW NEEDS TO DIE. RIGHT NOW. I have seen every goddamn episode at least 500 times, and this damn stubborn show won't budge from its 6AM CST time slot on TBS Superstation! It's been in the same stupid time slot since about 1997... This show was THE THING to watch in 1991, but come on, this is 2003! I honestly don't think that many people watch anymore. WHY DOES THIS SHOW STILL HAVE TO BE ON IN RERUNS??? WHY?

This show should be in the TV Hall of Shame. It's a toss-up between Saved by the Bell an Small Wonder for the worst show of all time.

I really do want to give this show a higher rating, but then my brain kicked into gear. Yes, this show was somewhat cute and tried to provide a real insight into High School life. However, to me, it just does not cut it. First of all, I, and for that matter, nobody that I know, ever had a principle as "cool" and "hip" as Mr. Belding. The show loses a point for being somewhat out of touch with reality. I did, however, like some of the more somber episodes like the one with the celebrity visiting Bayside who is into drugs. Anyway, this show was OK, but definately not one of my favorites. The acting was mediocre as well. In the final analysis, Saved By The Bell is certainly not a show that is playing on my television often.

Okay I haven't seen this show in years but when it was on my brother, cousins and I were pretty young and we used to pretend to be the characters pn SBTB. It was one of the few shows (the others being Step by step and The Simpsons) that we would all watch without argument. Now that I am an adult (and a babysitter) I have to say that any show that can keep five kids of all different ages happy and quiet for a half an hour can't be all bad. 4 stars instead of three because I think it's more of a 3 1/2, better than ok but not quite good, so I rounded up.

I thought this whole show was dismal. You had the token dorky kid and then the beautiful girls all put into absolute extremes such as the feminist, the brainbox and the prom queen, and with the guys it was almost basically the same. It tried so hard to be deep and meaningful with its themes it was painful to watch and to top it all of they had the appealing canned laughter. I can't wait for crap like this to be wiped off TV.

I know it's a worn-out, corny show, but I'll admit I used to watch a LOT of this back in my younger years. And there's really still something kind of entertaining about the reruns. It's so bad it's good!

It was never anything but lame, but when NBC chief Brandon Tartikoff guest starred and did a wooden-indian version of Sheldon Leonard's "I just got a great idea for a new show" routine from his apppearance on The Lucy Show, it was just plain pathetic.

Whoever was young through the "Saved by the Bell" era or a short time after must admit that they went through a phase where they watched this show a LOT. I did, I don't think I found it to be all that funny. It's a really shallow show with lousy stereotypes.

This has got to be one of the most unrealistic shows out there. It is OK in its own stupid way, however, so I give it a 2.
