Jiggle-fest at it's best, lots of slow motion running sans bra. The 1070s version of national geographic.

Great concept and done in good taste. The girls were mentally and physically fit, but not incredibly indestructible like those in the film today. In anything meant to be watched, charisma and X-factor is very important, and all the lead actresses/characters have it!
rockerrreds 10/26/2006
I recently purchaesd a five-episode best of with the original cast-holds up quite nicely.Better than 90% of what's on prime-time network TV now,for what it's worth.
SharonParry 10/25/2006
Do you all remember when they actually had a contest on TV to figure out who's voice it was giving the instructions to the ladies?
VirileVagabond 10/21/2006
"Charlie's Angels" was pure sugar, but who says television can't just be entertaining? Obviously this series wouldn't have made it without the attractive stars (e.g. Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson, and Cheryl Ladd) and the sexual situations and innuendo, leading to same lazy and repetitive plots. Nevertheless, few television shows have become more ingrained in pop culture than "Charlie's Angels".

Let's be serious, The show was good for one thing... WOMEN! Farah was HOT, and Cheryl Ladd STUNNING! Even Kate Jackson (who I thought was much sexier than Jacklyn Smith) was a hot mom-next-door type who simply never got to wear the skimpy outfits. Stupid show, sexy babes.
Mr Nuetron 12/15/2005
The visual viagra of its day.Yes it was dumb, yes it was tastless plotless and pointless and a blotch on John Forsites other wise good reputation.Kate Jackson was a dog.Farrah,Jacklyn SMITH and Cheryl Ladd and Tanya Roberts were hotties,Not like the overated Cameron Diaz, doggish Barrymore and homely crosseyed Lucy Loser in even dumber movie version. I must admit although i was a hormoned driven sex crazed teenager this show was so stupid i refused to watch it.Thats a testament to how horrid it was.
GenghisTheHun 10/11/2005
This was a good jiggle series and set the standard, if that is a word that can be used for such stylish trash, for the future.
kattwoman 09/24/2005
i liked watching charlies angels when i was a kid. even though most girls seemed to want to be farrah fawcett i wanted to be like kate jackson. i thought she was pretty and smart.

charlie's babes
Nightbird 06/17/2005
It's the best I think that lotsa people don't know that Farah was only on for 1 or 2 seasons. But I love Farah she was a total babe.
texasyankee 03/29/2005
I loved this show I think every girl in 6th - 8th grade loved these girls, they signified that girls could do anything a guy could do and still look smoking hot while doing it.I remember going to slumber parties and everyone bringing their charlie angels toys.
Enkidu 03/26/2005
Had the hots for Kate Jackson when I was a kid, but boy this show was stupid. Sometimes I'd just watch it with the sound off.
irishgit 03/25/2005
The '70s equivalent of Baywatch. The girls should have bounced on a trampoline in bikinis for an hour. It would have been more entertaining than the drivel that passed for a plot.
Djahuti 12/03/2004
It was bad, it was corny-but girls enjoyed watching women who were not helpless for a change and guys just dug the foxy babes kickin' butt.
fM 09/22/2004
it's mindless fun, and that's actually a good thing! you certainly don't tune in to it expecting high drama and keen insight on the human condition. oy! you just wanna see some beautiful girls, some standard cop thrill/action, some witty banter, some beautiful or exotic locales (at least for the seaon premieres or two-part episodes). that's all. kate definitely lent the show some measure of humor and credibility. when she left, the show died. but don't get me wrong, the other girls were very pleasant to look at and they could be quite funny, too. i liked farrah and shelley hack's toothy smiles witty one-liners. jaclyn and cheryl you won't mind watching as well. but i'm sorry about tanya--she was the most unangelic of them all and with her onboard, everything just became staid and boring. -fM

One of the best TV shows of the '70s. Who didn't watch this show as a kid? It was poorly written at times, but redeemed by the chemistry and banter between the sexy and alluring angels. Many critics and viewers have stated it was just T & A. This is not true. Granted, the show did feature the girls in towels and bikinis in some episodes, but it was not Baywatch with boobs hanging and shaking in every episode. Charlie's Angels gets a bad rep for this because of the first year. The first season Farrah Fawcett (then Fawcett-Majors) often went braless and her nipples were clearly noticeable. There was also a lot of sexual innuendos and risque comments when the angels talked to Charlie and you saw him cavorting with a bunch of bimbos with big boobs. After that, the innuendos were toned down, and the angels didn't appear in bikinis or bathing suits that often. Cheryl Ladd and Jaclyn Smith primarily wore the T & A outfits, and Kate Jackson never wore a revealing outfit on the show. Farrah also never donned a bikini, nor did Shelley Hack. My comments on the angels: Kate was definitely the star of the show and it went downhill after she left. They probably should have cancelled it or just had Kris and Kelly solve the cases by themselves. Sabrina was the least sexy angel and plain at times, but was funny and smart. Kris was cute, funny, sexy and smart too. Even though she was petite, she had spunk and was tough when the situation called for it. She could also be vulnerable too, like when she got amnesia or had to fight for her life against the big, butch-looking Zora in Angels in Springtime. Cheryl Ladd was my favorite, with Kate a close second. Cheryl was a great replacement for Farrah. Kelly was sweet and beautiful, but often faded in tne background. She could also be dimwitted at times. I remember the football episode, where Kris had to explain the solution of the mystery to her in great detail. However, Kelly probably was the toughest angel and she had the most action and fight scenes of all the angels. Jill was undeniably gorgeous in a glamourous model sort of way, but also dumb as a post. She was often written as an airhead the first year and always giggling for no apparent reason. She got smarter or maybe more serious as the years went on, but she no longer seemed fun when she returned for guest appearances. Tiffany seemed semi-intelligent, but not really given a chance to spotlight her personality or character. She could be determined at times and sort of similar to Sabrina. Shelley Hack was likeable, but just not a good enough actress to save her underwritten character. Tanya Roberts made Shelley Hack seem like Meryl Streep. However, she did have better chemistry with Kris and Kelly and the last year, even though it was on its last legs, was better than the previous one with Shelley (partly because of the way the episodes were constructed with more interaction and team-oriented stories). The first three seasons were great, especially the first two, while the last two were for the most part, badly written and constructed. The first two years had some of the best episodes, such as Angels in Chains, Angels at Sea, Dancing in the Dark, Mother Goose is Running for His Life, Angels on Ice, Unidentified Flying Angels, and The Jade Trap.

Loved the first few seasons...damn Jacklyn Smith was so beautiful...I know I'm in the minority but I liked Shelley Hack as Tiffany.

Used to love in the beggining but all the casting changes hurt this show
brian joseph 12/08/2003
Well let's see why did I watch it..seems that Cheryl Ladd had such a perfect body in that bikini and Kate Jackson cool and smart...also thought she was cute.

Charlies Angels was a good action show.
BugahaNE 10/18/2003
I am sure everyone who rated this a "one" has never seen one episode of the show. Don't compare it to the very mediocre movie remake. The show was well written, a great plot each week, you never knew who the criminal was until the end of the show. Ok , so the actresses were pretty, is that a crime?, but they were smart, confident and very decent, you never saw them sleeping around like is prevalent on todays horrible shows.
mtenkate 08/28/2003
Guess what? I found this show likable.....watching it as an 11 year old! Now?? Sexist, not much redeeming qualitites aside from the girls physical attributes!!
getback 05/22/2003
A best this show was bad.Loved Cheryl Ladd and Jackie Smith. But the show and then to go and make movies. That's just sad.

This is one show that I remember fondly, but I don't watch it now on TV Land because of that particular reason. It seems that so many of the shows I used to watch in my preteens and teens just don't have the OOMPH! that they used to have. Getting older does that to you. I'd rather just have my memories of the angels.

I loved (and still do love) Charlie's Angels. This show has stood the test of time and was a ground breaking series of it's day. The fact that it still has a huge fan base shows that the show is still worth watching.
Moosekarloff 04/28/2003
Cheryl Ladd in a bikini was about the only saving grace of this show. That is, if you could sit through the rest of this crap in hopes of getting a little T&A action.
nikkiautry 10/25/2002
This show worked. When I was growing up I always wanted to be a "Charlie "girl. They were cool chicks back then. I still watch the reruns and every time I do....I still want to be a "Charlie" girl!!!
Tiffanywelles 09/07/2002
The ultimate television experience. I still cry every time Kelly gets shot in the head. Which happens surprisingly often.
radiogman 08/15/2002
T & A nothing but T & A
Joey1963 08/05/2002
Although many criticize this show...I really enjoyed it. The show reflected the seventies...Jaclyn Smith was (and still is) a beautiful woman...and she could actually act. I am probably one of the few out there who really liked Shelley Hack as Tiffany...I still enjoy watching the show today!
LINDS 01/19/2002
Charlie's Angels was fantastic Tv.It was fun, actionpacked and escapist. ok,it wasn't Shakespeare, but if ya want reality, open your front door + look outside. If you want a relaxing 50 minutes of humour, attractive women kicking arse, then watch Charlie's angels!
Texx 11/23/2001
Intelligent women? These three were baffled by the intricate wrokings of suitcase latch. Not to mention they actually laughed at Bosley's pethetic humour. It's not the worst crime Spelling has ever committed, but it's an embarrassment just the same.

i loved charlies angels all the angels including the underated tiffany welles(shelley hack) even though after bri left the show died
Pinkladykb 08/28/2001
I think "Charlie's Angels" is really good! It's dramatic but funny sometimes too.
callmetootie 04/05/2001
Charlie's Angels was only enjoyable when Cheryl Ladd was on it. I couldn't stand Farrah Fawcett. She was so annoying and dumb. She just couldn't fit the role of one of Charlie's Angels. The show was pretty good, but when there were 2 part episodes, it would mean a full 2 hours! That's pretty boring, thinking of a show being a full 2 hours, but sometimes it was worth while.
evansangel 03/04/2001
This is my favourite television show of all time! Maybe it was a bit jiggly, but for the time, it was a huge step forward for women, since there were few other successful female crime fighters on television. I love every last Angel!
mongrelpup 01/24/2001
I think a lot of people are confusing nostalgia with quality.
CastleBee 01/03/2001
Well, I liked - and also had - Farrah's hair do at the time ... but that's not quite enough to make the show interesting is it? It seemed pretty corny even by '70's standards and has sunk to completely lame by today's (well I guess you could argue whether or not we actually HAVE any standards now - but whatever).
littled 12/09/2000
This is not "jiggle tv". Aaron Spelling showed three beautiful, intelligent women who could kick butt in a title role. They weren't reliant on guys to get them out of trouble, or boyfriends to keep them occupied. They were independent and courageous, and the show deserves recognition.
steve garcia 10/08/2000
even the babes couldn't save this disaster
jayn7123om 06/05/2000
just dumb.

I really like Charlie's Angels, it's a show about girls who kick ass. Any show that came out in that time was cool
