Candy borded on being retarded. I can't believe she tried out to be a cheerleader. She was such a freak!

The show,I thought, was brilliant.A very talented and creative cast.I got the feeling that, everyone involved were on the same twisted wave-length.It's something John Waters would of loved to have made,if he had the chance to do a T.V. series.I'm glad the show is on DVD now.It is one of those shows that you either LOVE or HATE,no grey area.

It's point is how stupid and meaningless life can be sometimes. It was usually hilarious and I was shocked on how far the show dared to go.

What was this mess all about, I could never watch it and the one really ugly chick? What was up with that even the promos were not funny and I was not suprised that it was canceled.

Pretty bizarro show. My wife likes it. Though the show has very little in social redeeming value, some of the episodes were marginally funny. However, it fails the ESPN Test (Given the choice between this and ESPN, would I choose this) -- maybe I would watch if they were showing World Series of Poker.

The idea is creative in itself that a woman almost 50 is going back to high school. It's frikkin' hilarious to see her dress like a teen and attend classes. However, The show is kind of slow paced.

Another Great show taken off the air. Jerri was sooo cool. What is wrong with TV anymore? I am so glad I recorded all the shows. Is TV run by George W. Bush's Mom now?

I know Amy Sedaris in real life cause my mother and her used to work at red lobster together in there teens and early twenties. She came down to visit once and she was always making jokes. I loved her show.

I'm sure I completely missed something here, but on several viewings of "Strangers", I never: a.) saw the humor in this show, and b.) never really understood the underlying concept. Maybe I didn't really give it an honest try, but I wasn't sad to see this one go.

This show isn't for everyone and it's not for anyone who wants or expects to see only what they've seen before or those things that make them comfortable. It doesn't always achieve it's goal bizarre humor, but it always strives for it and often hits it and, for that alone, and to encourage others to follow suit, it gets a 5.

A poerfectly original comedy farce, that breaks the barriers of American television, extremely reminiscent of "Ab-Fab," acomedy that has no boundaries, one that will have a cult following for many a year.

Here is the letter I wrote to Comedy central. Everyone who loved this show as much as I did, please do the same. Strangers With Candy was with out a doubt one of the funniest and most refreshing shows that I can remember. Why on earth did you choose to cancel such a fantastic program is beyond me. With all the banal and inanely mind numbing dribble found on other networks, SWC was a refreshing oasis. In its stead, you have pathetic shows like “the man Show” which is pure crap on a cracker. I will try to be succinct, but please know that I find your decision moronic and without deliberated rationale. Among my friends, family, and co-workers this show was extremely popular. If you did not have Southpark, I would never even watch your channel anymore. Please forward this to the powers that be and give Amy Sedaris and her cast a reprieve. BRING BACK STRANGERS WITH CANDY!!!!

Hey, I grew up during the 60's and 70's and have the cynical sense of humor to prove it. So, I actually expected to laugh at this woman's ridiculous nightmarish plight - I really did! Why then, I ask myself, did this one pin the stupid meter so fast for me? The premise seemed a sure thing - 46-year-old ex-druggie returns to high school. Sounds pretty funny on paper. They just didn't manage to completely carry it off though. I think that may have been due to several factors. For instance, there was the hideous and unbelievable makeup job, which seemed sappier than it was funny, Amy Sedaris' gift for overacting, and the beyond ridiculous situations. Mostly what bothered me about this show was the underlying uncomfortable hateful feeling it conveyed. It's one thing to poke fun, but another to want to totally annihilate. It left me with the feeling that the creators had issues with their mothers.

The most creative show on television for a long time. The best part about watching a concept show is that, once you get the concept, every second of the show is funny. Re-staff the production, I don't care! They shouldn't have ever cancelled it in the first place.

Strangers With Candy unlike League Of Gentleman or Strip Mall was watchable and at times kind of enjoyable. It was by far the strangest sitcom to hit the airwaves, and was kind of stupid in the first place, but I just don't know why they cancelled it after only like 2 seasons.
