If a CABLE NEWS program beats it in the ratings (as it did during the Iraq War) then there must be something wrong.

It's unfortunate Jane Clayson left. She added an air of knowledge, professionalism and sofistication to the show. Unfortunately Hannah Storm is like a stick figure with a human head on amphetamines. She would be better placed as a local color reporter on the streets of NY.

CBS might as well dump the Early Show instead of trying to fix it into something more different than any other morning news show. For many years there have been many incarnations of CBS morning news shows and they all failed. With the loss of Bryant Gunble and Jane Clayson, the Early Show is not going to get even better with the all new team. Now wonder some CBS stations drop either part or the entire broadcast of the show for local news.

I am holding on to this show because of my loyalty to bryant gumble. Mark has been doing a great job of filling in and i like jane but she seems to be a little patronizing to him. I feel he is best suited for the replacement and she had better hope he or someone like him steps in because she wont hold your viewers, alone she just doesnt have what it takes. This tv station also needs to show the current time rolling on the bottom of the screen for those of us who work and would like a reminder of the time without having to switch to another station or go look at a clock.

I liked waking up to Brian Gumble -- but he seemded somewhat unhappy. At that point, I started considering a switch to 4. Whem tom Bergeron came on -- it was wonderful. Always loved Jane Clayson -- love her more now. She's better without Brian. I prefer her to in your face, not so nice Kathy (who?). Mark is adorable, although I think he should hug a little less. He is just a warm, loving smart, handsome man, and it comes across the screen. I like the show more now than ever. Jane -- you go girl. You're beautiful and down to earth! Keep it up guys.

Love the Early Show, fan from way back. Glad Gumble is gone, he probably hurt ratings with his attitude!Love Jane, Mark & Julie. I think Tom Bergeron would be a perfect addition to the show, he adds humor and has a wonderful personality and is really doing a great job as an anchor. This team could really be the shot in the arm that the show needs!!

Pretty bland news show. No humor as in The Today Show, or any seriously talked about situations in on Crossfire. OK hosts, but Gumbal really does need to get a life.

Bryant is excellent at interviewing people and I've enjoyed watching him for many years. I changed to The Early Show as soon as B.G. started on it!!! Jane is a breath of fresh air and Julie is very good at her job too! They make a good team.

I love watching the Early Show, Jane Clayson was grown so much as a journalist this year and would love to see her in more prime-time spots. Mark is fan friendly and since I am from Maryland I love how he talks about the Terps. Bryant is pretty to look at, but sometimes I want to reach through the TV and slap him. Over the past few months I have noticed he has improved in stating his personal opinions on some subjects. I thought news journalist were supposed to remain objective.

Jane Clayson's interviews with the former "Survivor" cast members are the pits. I think somone randomly walking by the CBS studios or a child would ask more probing, insightful questions. What an airhead she is! ("Oh Jerri, you're so nice,""Oh Alicia, will you be my trainer?") Ick.

Yuk! Maybe it is my dislike of Bryant Gumble (this is his show, right?) I just don't ever feel like spending my morning with him and his pompous attitude.
