To the previous idiot: this subject is the DAYTIME Emmy Awards, not the primetime Emmy Awards. Take your Raymond rant elsewhere. As for me, these awards are okay, but once Susan Lucci finally got one, most of the drama left the program.

Worst Emmy Awards show by far. So boring and predictable. I was completely appalled that shows such as Every One Loves Raymond was awarded so much... for what?? I feel like every show was about the same damn thing every week!! Then there's a truly creative show, like Six Feet Under, that was completely ignored. They didn't even show any camera shots of any of the actors from Six Feet all night. That was their last season and they received no recognition!!! The ppl that vote are obviously leaning towards voting on what the public views as "Good TV" more so than true creative writing and talent.

One of my favorite award shows, maybe because I think a lot of daytime programs are better than some night programs. They were on last night and it was interesting to see various celebrities who are on soaps as themselves - whether the speeches are great or not. The talk shows and even game shows can be interesting to root for.

The Daytime Emmy's are good in that they honor the talented performers in Daytime. Daytime like Primetime is hardwork.

The award ceremony itself is actually pretty good. They move at a steady pace, and are rotated by each network, so it's a good thing that not one network dominates these awards. They try but don't always succeed to make it even on having the equal number of presenters from each network's soaps. The problem is the same people are practically nominated over and over again which doesn't always make for an exciting evening.

What do they give awards for on this show? I've never seen it, not being a fan of 'daytime tv' (because I go to school and have a job - so I'm busy when these shows are on), but it seems kind of ludicrous. So, do they give awards for acting? Or writing? Or direction? Because these things seem to be missing from daytime shows. I only know this because my ex-girlfriend used to tape the shows and make me watch them with her so I wouldn't seem totally ignorant when she and her friends were discussing them. They should give awards for most-attractive-yet-totally-bland-and-devoid-of-personality actress on a daytime drama, or the oiliest-looking-eurotrash-villain actor in a daytime drama, or most-obvious-hairpiece in a daytime drama. And calling them 'daytime dramas' is pretty pretentious, isn't it. I mean, there's no one in the world who doesn't know that this is a sanitized euphemism for 'incompetent crap'.

Love the daytime Emmys and think that fans of daytime shows are all ages. The daytime shows (soaps, interview shows, and even a couple of game shows) are sometimes more interesting than nighttime. The actors work hard since it's on a daily basis and many become very famous. The main difference in this award show is that we usuallly know most of the people on it.

So-So ceremony, but doesn't relate to most viewers, because it's soap operas, and most people don't watch em.

Let me get this straight: A Daytime Emmy Awards show? Daytime television isn't worthy of any award! Its pure fluff double dipped in sugar, meant to appeal to old spinsters and 12 year old girls and it gets its own awards show? Get Real.

I am a guy and actually enjoy soap operas - they crack me up. It is fun to see what 2nd string actors win acclaims for their work during the daytime - it was always fun when Susan Lucci would get shut out year after year , now that that is over, maybe I will be less interested..

Maybe the most ridiculous thing on TV, second only to daytime TV itself.

I don't know what will happen now that La Lucci has won. I like watching this Awards show, probably the only one I could sit down and watch the entire thing. I don't have any great respect or admiration for these actors who portray such whacks but hey, who doesn't like watching a soap once in a while. And in some demented way, I guess I feel like I know these people!
