He was funny once...but he is simply boring now...and hasn't updated his schtick...it is OLD. Give it up, Kenny. You are far from original...and so is ESPN.

He and Keith Olbermann have to be the funniest sports personalitites on the planet. Kenny has done a bit too much horse racing in the past few years, but he is still absolutely hysterical. If only he could dance...
guffey 12/21/2005
His comedy may be dry but it is still informative in a funny way. I liked when he told about the little known rule the fair catch kick.
southparker9 04/22/2005
Dry humor is annoying. Tries to be the Bob Newhart of ESPN, but isn't funny or credible.
B-Cash 04/04/2005
Hilarious....has the most fun personality on ESPN..he gets the funniest jobs to do my fav was when he interviewed Hunter Smith the Colts punter and playin around like he was the newest RB cuz he ran for a TD
mtbmlb 03/03/2005
A colorful character for ESPN. A bit shrewd at times.
ChrisO1981 01/12/2005
Brings the humor that some sports stories need.
clinevol98 12/21/2004
Pretty good overall, but doesn't know when to be serious.
JRF29201 10/21/2004
What can I say, funny and puts a hilarious spin on news. But can he stay the course of the silly sports guy? or will it wear off? So far so good.

Kenny Mayne is complete entertainment. You get the news and humor. He is da bomb and espn sees it, thats why he gets to do the sweetist assignments.
rororor 08/03/2004
you have to contain nothing but air inside your head to think that this dry witted individual is not the funniest anchor of all time
bodarc 07/30/2004
Like most of the ESPN heads, he thinks it all about him. Report the sports; if I want funny, I'll look in on the comedy channel.
markdatsun 07/12/2004
Used to be amusing, but work of the last few years has been horrendous. The worst part is, he thinks everything he does is hilarious. And there's nothing worse than somebody who thinks they're funny who isn't.
coleslough 05/28/2004
more a comedian
larry_biz 12/23/2003
If you have a brain, you like this guy.
JBell 08/22/2003
Best thing ESPN has. Mayne Event is the best part of the football show...plus he played ball at UNLV!
President -X-D 08/08/2003
I've gotten a little bored with his schtick. I liked him alot more a few years back.
nbell 08/07/2003
He's the best. He's funny, good writer, handsome, makes me glad I have cable.
kman1582 07/17/2003
The funniest Sports Center anchors ever....more beer for us.
Dood182 07/14/2003
A total jack ass.. Met him at the all star game and wouldn't give me the time of day! Like EVERYONE at ESPN he broadcasts personal opinions disguised as "sports journalism" a complete fraud in every sense of the word. Loves big money, big market teams, thinks the other 98% of the population and their teams are not worthy of his or his network's attention and a complete drunk..
grosegreg 06/02/2003

Funniest man on TV!
newswatcher 04/07/2003
I miss Kenny Mayne. What a refreshing voice and sense of humor. ESPN and Fox Sports need more like him. He's serious, but he knows that he has a fun job and lets his viewers know it. We need more Kenny Mayne on ESPN. I'm fed up with all of this "Hollah" from know-it-all Stuart Scott.
Sarati 03/25/2003
So refreshing.
angusmacpherso n 03/23/2003
I've never seen anyone try so hard to be funny--and fail miserably.

They say that sarcasm is the lowest form of humor. I think the people who say this are the targets of sarcasm and have no sense of humor. To be sarcastic, one must be intelligent enough to make an intellectual retort of ill-based humor, but tactful enough not to offend most people. Kenny has a wonderful sense of humor and his sarcasm is greatly appreciated.
Burntisland 12/29/2002
Kenny Mayne, like most of the ESPN gang, takes himself too seriously. They think they are stars in and of themselves. C'mon! Get a grip! You're a damn sports reporter. I remember once on Two Minute Drill when he tripped and busted his ass. It was hilarious. You guys at ESPN (with the exception of Boomer and Jackson) should keep you dumbass theatrics and opinions to yourselves and just tell us what the hell happened in sports.
StevenA111 12/20/2002
It takes a special type of person to truly appreciate Mayne's sense of humor, and let's face it, those of us spending a few hours a day memorizing sports statistics are special types of people. His wit fits perfectly with his job, he complements sports with his humor.
madaboutfootba ll 11/29/2002
I think the Mayne Event on Sunday is one of my favorites. I think he is just so funny.
BigBadTA 11/22/2002
next to Keith Olbermann and Dan Patrick, Kenny is the best Sportscenter has had.
TimBSDCA 10/11/2002
It's always a wild ride with Kenny!
cujo 10/10/2002
I didn't think anyone could replace Olberman, but here he his!
germannmwg 10/04/2002
he's the man
bosslady1982 09/29/2002
Kenny is the bomb. I think he can go for another 5 years with ESPN or so. I really LOVE him. And I know you guys like him as much as I do, because we're Mayniacs.
daddio1015 06/21/2002
The funniest guy on ESPN...his Jenga commercial still cracks me up.
Potch1214 11/07/2001
Kenny Mayne is frigging hilarious with his dead pan delivery. However, I can see how some feel he makes his broadcasts more about him then the news.
ellajedlicka21 10/19/2001
He is a really great Sportscenter announcer. Those guys really get into the show and that's what I like about it the most.
a_lilpw03 03/24/2001
I love watching Kenny on SportsCenter. He always makes me laugh. Keep up the good work!!!!!!
maddmarxx 01/09/2001
I thought Keith Olberman was going to be a tough act to follow.Kenny proved me wrong.I haven't missed Keith a bit, thanks to Kenny. His commercials have been some of the most entertaining that Espn has offered.
Johnny Roulette 01/09/2001
A veritable fountain of glorious sarcasm. It's like having a cast member from Monty Python on ESPN, his wit is so dry.
solerob 12/11/2000
Sports anchor on ESPN, and is very funny because of his sarcasm and spontaneity when doing highlights of games. Now he has his own game show on ESPN which is very good.
kkel5852om 04/10/2000
Kenny Mayne has a great sense of humor. Some may think his delivery is a little dry, but I find the guy totally amusing. He's a great contrast to all the ex-jock announcers who are often completely one dimensional, with no command of language or wit like Kenny has
magellan 04/05/2000
Has gotten better over the years. Or maybe I have just gotten used to his spaced-out style.
Munson 04/04/2000
He never should have been taken off the big show with Dan. Kenny is absolutely histerical. His dry, sarcastic wit is tremendous.
