I like how these pictures are getting bigger and bigger. These cookies will be bigger than my head anytime soon.

They've been reformulated to be "trans-fat-free".(between 0.0g and 0.5g of trans-fat per serving) One of the advantages of trans fats is that they serve as a preservative. So more recent formulations are more likely to have problems with staleness. The reformulation will also leave the cookies tasting a little bit different. I noticed a weird aftertaste in this year's Samoas, as well, but after I got used to it, they were just as delicious as before.

Normally I love 'em (and the Thin Mints) but this year I picked up a box of Do-si-Dos from a troop outside the Chevron at Ironwood & Ocotillo in Queen Creek-Pinal County. Surprised the cookies were $4.00/box, and even more surprised when they tasted stale! The center part tasted waxy and the outside tasted like it was left over from last year. Don't plan on buying these again for a few years. Sad!

These are my number one Girl Scout cookies. I can eat a whole box of these cookies with no problem, as long as I have a glass of cold milk.

Years ago, say....30, Keebler had a cookie called "Pitter Patters" and these cookies are very similar, if not exactly the same. I rarely eat cookies, but when the annual sale starts, you can be sure that I will purchase a minimum of 10 boxes for myself. My family loves the other selections and buy enough to make the quota for many of the girls within the Council! Seriously, if you want a Super Peanut Butter Cookie, this is the one that will become a personal tradition.

Excellent cookie especially if you get tired of the chocolate coating on some of the other cookies. Not as good as the thin mints or caramel delights but they're pretty darn close.

I have always loved the do si dos, no matter what name they went by. But I am very disappointed that they have skimped on the amount of peanut butter in the middle! If this continues next year, I probably will not buy them after that.

I have always enjoyed these cookies. I usually buy at least 3 boxes of these every year. They could be a little bit fresher, but overall they are really good.

One of my favorites, the peanut butter is rich and pleasant tasting. I personally love peanut butter cookies so these hit the spot.

A good peanut butter cookie. These cookies have been around for a long time. Some of the girl scout cookies have come and gone, but Do-si-dos have been around for years.they also freeze well. One of my more favorite peanut butter type cookies.

This is my favorite Girl Scout Cookie. I remember selling it in the 60's, and it was my favorite then (although I don't remember the name being the same). I guess that is why I sold more of them than any other Girl Scout Cookie. Now, I am a troop leader, and Do Si Dos remain one of our best sellers.

If high sales mean anything, this was THE GS cookie of choice back when I was hawking them as a 10 year old girl scout. I remember selling more of them than any other type. No doubt they are still widely supported by the peanut butter addicted. Though I can no longer personally comment on the sales, I think Do-si-dos have held up pretty well over the years in spite of the expanded GS cookie line. I know I still like them, though I have to admit my favorite is now that coconut, chocolate and caramel bit o' heaven the Samoa!

The perfect combination of peanut butter & oatmeal...sweet, crunchy & nothing like them in the store. Plus they don't melt in your car. My favorite GS cookie.

These cookies are really good. There's just something about them. You can buy peanut butter sandwich-type cookies in the store, but they don't seem to be as good as the Girl Scouts' version.

They're not as good as Peanut Butter Patties, but you can eat these for breakfast too.

Peanut Butter is so good in a cookie form and the Girl Scouts get it right with the perfect texture. I love taking apart the cookie and licking out the peanut butter.
