This is the only way that I will drink Coke, I prefer a rum and Pepsi if I am going to go that route.

A nice simple drink. The rum adds some nice warmth.

I do like a good Captain and Coke. I think that when you add rum to coke it gives it a thicker flavor profile, which I enjoy. It almost really bring out the caramel flavor in the coke! YUM!

The Rum and Coke! Certainly a pleasurable drink, but not quite perfect. Cant complain though, cause it goes down pretty easy and tastes pretty good.

I gave this two stars because I used to like Rum & Cokes. Of course, that was back in I also enjoyed drinking Coca-Cola regularly. Today I find this drink to be way too sweet for my tastes, since both the soda and the rum are sweet. Nowadays I would prefer rum with something fruity (like the limes in a mojito) as opposed to sweet.

Rum and COLA ( any brand, but preference to pepsi) is the only cocktail other a white rum and diet rootbeer that I'll drink. I usally prefer my liquor (such as whiskey on the rocks), what can say rum makes for the best mixer.

I don't like Coke, and I don't like spiced rum like Captain Morgan that a lot of people use to make these, so this would be a one star. Quality dark rum, and some white rums aren't too bad, but adding Coke to them is only going to make them taste worse to me.

Life serum. Try it with Captain Morgan's Tattoo.

Delicious.  A good dark rum complements the coke perfectly, actually cutting down the bitter cola aftertaste and making for a better taste than a plain coke, as I see it.  In fact I consider rum and coke my most "dangerous" drink of choice, because it's hard to keep track of how much you've had when each drink tastes like candy.

One 12 ounce glass with ice, white or light rum (allergic reaction to dark rum) Cruzan 120 is good enough for mixed drink, one half lime squeezed into glass, fill with cola beverage of choice.Stir.  Diet Pepsi or Diet Coke for me. Top with a lime wedge. Drink.

A good quality DARK rum, a brand name cola and a squeeze of lime can make a pretty tasty drink. Called a Cuba Libre in some parts of the world, its a little on the sweet side for my taste, but pleasant on a hot day. But if you make it with cheap white rum and store brand cola, it tastes like paint thinner.

Easy to make and even easier to enjoy. My favorite cola rum combo: Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum and Coca Cola.

A very simple and unpretentious number that goes down smoothly in all seasons. It's important that you use good quality cola and good quality rum. These can be icky if you use Old Philadelphia rum and ShopRite cola, a real varnishy combination.

Rum & Coke is a perfect mix. And since Coke owns Bacardi Mixers, why don't they start selling a Rum & Coke mixer?

Dark rum, squeeze of lime juice, and top up with cola on ice. A drink that's simple, tasty, refreshing, and pretty potent if you are generous with the old Captain Morgan or Pusser's rum. A winner every time.

Rum and Coke is one of my favorites. That is one of my favorites. It is my mixed drink of choice. They taste good and are really easy to drink. If I am drinking rum and cokes I know I am going to get hammered because I won't be able to put them down.

A very tasty drink and personally I love it. I like the fact that it gets me drunk, especially because that's what I want to be all the time. Lastly, it's cheap and easy to mix so it's all good.

Rum & Coke is my favorite drink of all time. You can have it with any food. It doesn't make your breath reek that bad and you can drink! Bacardi Rum is my favorite rum.

This is the easiest and most simple drink to have. Many people think that it won't do anything to you, but when you least expect it you are going to be on the toilet puking your ass off. Only because you didn't give it the respect it needed.

Rum & Coke is a great drink. Regarded more as Old Faithful than as something to drink all night in my opinion. But, a good once around cocktail.

R&C used to be my drink of choice when I was a young moron, but now that I'm an old moron I don't touch em. I always wondered why I would wake up the next day sick and be sick all day, and finally I figured it out...it was the coke tearing through my system. Now I stick to Rye and Gingers. They go down a lot easier, and they don't twist your plumbing into knots.

This drink is pretty dependent on the rum that you use. You do not wnat to get a rum that is too sweet mixed with the coke, makes the drink too sweet to enjoy.

There's nothing like a good "Cuba Libre" to get you going. The sugar and caffeine give you a nice boost, and a good rum will give you a feel good buzz. My favorites are Havana Club, Malibu, and "Captain and Coke."

Good drink, use Malibu (coconut rum) or Capt. Morgans' spiced run and add a lime.., you can drink these all day and night.
