Very sweet and wonderful family dog. I had a couple growing up as a kid. Intelligent, sweet, loving.

Good family dog that is loyal and trustworthy. Though they need regular execise on a daily basis and grooming and brushing to prevent mats in their hair. They are working class hunting dogs that love being playfull and kept occupied chasing toys for endless hours. If ignored for long periods of time, they will become bored and develop distructive tendencies. In addition, they should be monitored around small children because of their playfull nature and size. Occasionally, these dogs have been diagnosed with "Rage Syndrom" where a sudden attack occurs for no reason. Untill recently, this is a trait mostly associated with Cocker Spaniels.

I have to agree 100% with all of these previous reviews! A Springer is the most AMAZING breed ever! I purchased my first Springer about 6 years ago and he's....WOW! lol These dogs are SUPER INTELLIGENT, loving, loyal, protective, funny, optimistic and energetic! They are goregous dogs on the outside...anytime I take my Scooby anywhere...out of all of my dogs he gets the most attention!! He knows every trick in the book and amazes people due to it. People love hearing him speak and him giving you high fives and fetching the ball. He entertains anyone who's never really been exposed to have an intelligent dog. These dogs are so easily trained that we included him in one of my high school media videos that we did and he was a great actor and hit all his commands - learning them in about 2 days! This a great breed for families looking for a family dog and maybe for first time owners who are willing to train and exercise. These dogs are born to please their owners at all costs!! Their goal ... Read more

This is my 2nd Springer Spaniel and he is the greatest dog I have ever had. So much so that when he ends up going to heaven I could never get another one because I have the best one out there. These dogs are so easy to train and are so affectionate. His loyalty to me and my family is amazing. As far as looks, he is unbelievably handsome and we are told that wherever we go. He is 10 years old now, but you wouldn't know it by meeting him. He's happy, playful, and sweet as can be. I am so lucky to have found him. This breed is phenomenal!!!!

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE TONS OF ENERGY TO SPEND CAUSE THEY ARE HAPPY TO SPEND IT. THEY ARE GREAT GUN DOGS, MAKE WONDERFUL HOUSE PETS, LOVE EVERYONE AND EVEN HAVE THE ABILITY TO GUARD IF THAT IS NEEDED (NEVER HAD IT HAPPEN OTHER THAN A QUICK BARK AND RUNNING TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE HOUSE). NOT MUCH TO CARE FOR THEM, LOVE, ATTENTION, GROOMING ONCE A MONTH OR SO, FOOD, AND WATER. THEY ARE HAPPY JUST TO BE WITH THE FAMILY. GET ALONG WELL WITH OTHER ANIMALS AND MANY PEOPLE AS WELL.!!!!!

This is a truly beautiful dog. Gorgeous on the outside, playful and loveable on the inside. One of the best of all breeds.

Good looking dog -- vastly superior to the cocker spaniel.
