What a slanted debate appearance. Could you have just gotten down on your knees and given McCain some oral? Your "play by the rules, watch the lights" crap was like a 4 year old.

Didn't care for him politically, but he had an awesome combo of charisma and character. I used to watch NBS News when he was the anchor.

Actually, I never seen much of him, but now since he has retired I wish I had watched the Nightly News more when he was the anchor. A very warm and sincere personality, witty and charming.

One of the best, and most handsome, reporters of all time. One of my very favorites, too. One really classy guy!

Anyone who says they don't like him is lying. He is a very good and non-biased broadcaster.

Glad he retired. Loved the sound of his own voice. Wise of him to move out of the way to let someone younger earn the mega-bucks.

Low point of anchor career was premature call in 2000 election for Gore. Ouch! Also, tries too hard to come across as being a very modest, regular guy when you just know he and the other network anchors think of themselves as modern-day gods handing down the news from Mt. Olympus every night at 6:30. When asked how he thought he'd be remembered, T.B. said perhaps his hometown in S.D. would name the speed bump outside the local fire station after him. Aw, shucks fellas!

If the world were ending tomorrow, Brokaw's story line would be: World to end tomorrow, women and minorities most effected. This guy is stuck on the women and minorities story. But the good news is, retirement is near.

Brokaw is one of the best when it comes to reporting the news. He reports it in a very straightforward style, but he is not afraid to show he has emotions, either. More than once, he's been known to be close to welling up when there is some sort of touching story. He doesn't seem to come off as some sort of monotone robot like so many of the others. Brokaw's for real!

Of the three network newscaster, he's the only one I will watch because he's more objective than the other two. He's good & decent guy but I have move on to FoxNews.

I wish that the network had someone unbiased doing the news. Just before the 2000 Presidential election, I heard him interview Gore; Brokaw called him President Gore. On 911, just after the tragedy, Brokaw suggested on TV that Bush had caused 911 by not making peace in the Middle East; Brokaw forgot that Clinton had failed for 8 years to get peace in the Middle East. Recent interviews with Al Queda prisoners have shown that the 911 attacks had been planned since 1995, well before Bush took office. Brokaw is unable to hide his disdain for conservatives. A biased liberal.

Brokaw is generally good. I don't really sense any bias when he reports the news. Like everyone else, he has his beliefs, but rarely do they ever interfere with his reporting. Brokaw is a respectable and professional TV news host.

I hate how everyone compares him to liberals. For God's sakes, We are not like this babbling incoherent fool! We don't write cheesy self-biographies full of lies. Yeah. Tom Brokaw did that.

I like Tom Brokaw, he is my favorite anchor. He is professional but with a slight humanity to him, not sterile, but not preachy either. I just find his newscasts to be professional, intelligent, interesting. He reminds me of Cronkite, professional with a human touch.

Tom Brokaw is the most trusted man in America. He's like the nation grandfather. I always feel a little more safe when Tom Brokaw gives the news.

Of the "big 3" network anchors, I feel that he's the most objective, and doesn't let his leftward leanings shine through TOO much. He seems like a good entertainer with a real sense of humor. And, his "Greatest Generation" books are a fascinating read. After he retires (which I think I read would happen in the next 2-3 years), he would probably make a good roving lifestyle-reporter type, along the lines of Charles Kurault.
