Martin Lawrence is a comical genius! Who in the world has the versatility the boldness and the distinctivness in is there comedic approach other than Martin? No one, Martin the television show is like the best show of all time (next to the Cosby show of course) Martin Lawrence is sooooo funny that he could have 64 year olds laughing as well as 3 year olds laughing it's that simple. For those of you who think Martin isn't funny you need to go and watch his T.V show in syndiction there is nothing out there more hillarious and original!

Martin Lawrence wouldn't know what acting was if it hit him in the head like a brick. Even his comedy skill is limited.

Usually plays a hip thug or hip rapper or some such. And usually funny. Like the rest of America, has grown fatter as he has grown older.

I have never thought that he was funny. Maybe he's had one or two jokes that were really laughable, but aside from that, I can't think of anything that would make me want to pay money to go-to-see and/or rent one of his movies.

The only thing that is worse than his acting is his comedy.

Why is Martin Lawrence so far down on the list? He is HILARIOUS! 2 of my family's favorite movies are Blue Streak and Big Mommas House.

Martin Lawrence is a great comedian, sure, but his acting leaves a lot to be desired. He seems to want to stick to making whacky comedy films like "Big Momma's House". I mildly enjoyed that. "Blue Streak" was pretty good. He was OK in "Boomerang" and "Thin Line Between Love and Hate". I thought that his best performance was probably in "Bad Boys" along with Will Smith. In the final analysis, Martin Lawrence has yet to try to step out of his bounds, and I just cannot imagine him doing any type of film but comedy anytime soon.

Being loud and outrageous doesn't equal funny. He was okay on his t.v. show, but his movies leave a little to be desired. Big Momma's House was alright, but I fell asleep during Black Knight because it was so boring.

Martin Lawrence was funniest on his self-titled sitcom 'Martin' (1991-97) as Shenehneh Jenkins. His impression of an eccentric extension wearing female complete with fake nails and jewellery always had me laughing with tears. I wish Martin would reprise his role as Shenehneh in a future movie role or in a reunion episode of his old sitcom. That would be hilarious!

I liked him a lot in his bit part in Do The Right Thing, but lost interest after about a season of that sitcom he did on Fox.
