Jones is a hell of an actor. He does brilliant. He's awesome with his acting.

I can't stand the sound of this miserable old troll's voice or the sight of his ugly face. Every time you turn around, he's on TV hawking Verizon stuff. He ought to do the world a favor and jump off a bridge somewhere.

The man captures your full interest the second he makes his appearance on screen. The same can't be said for most actors.

Great voice actor for being the voice of Darth Vader(Star Wars) and Mufassa(Lion King) And was also great in Field of Dreams. Though he did have a small part in Sandlot he still played it very well. Overall Great but it could be better if we saw him more often.

Good actor he has shown his talent in so many roles. I especially like his voice. I liked him in Field of Dreams. and he was good as the voice of Simba's dad in Lion King.

Perfect for the voice of Darth Vader. A deep voice that nobody can match. he's a classic actor!

I'm not too familiar with Jones' acting, but he gets an automatic five stars for his voice. Jones' commanding, deep voice is probably the most well-known voices in Hollywood history. From Star Wars as the voice of Darth Vader to The Lion King as Mufasa, Jones will forever be remembered for his amazing voice.

I love to watch him in any movie.

The most recognizable voice in America.

James Earl Jones doesn't need to act, he just has to talk.
iluvamerica 08/02/2003
I haven't seen him a whole lot of movies, but what I have seen I liked.
ironlaw 07/05/2003
Used to be 5 stars, but I think he's over.

Should stick to commerical voice-overs. Hasn't had a meaty role in ages. Was a very promising actor when he first came up but has degenerated into just another lardass Hollywood hangeraround. He is a notably bad judge of scripts, and this shows in the several clinkers he's appeared in. This includes those juvenile and ridiculous Star Wars films. Have you taken a recent look at any of those turkeys? They haven't aged well, which indicates they were crap to begin with.

The voice of Darth Vader is recognizable around the world. That voice has been, and will continue to be, around for decades.

He gave one of the most powerful proformances ever in "Cry, the beloved country" and "Field of Dreams" He is tops in my book.

A commanding voice, a charismatic presence onscreen, very diverse. Anyway, being the voice of Darth Vader makes him 5 stars in my book any day.

I saw him in a great movie that I can't remember the name of. It was something like Family Affair or a name similar. Wonderful movie. I recommend it. James Earl Jones will always be remembered by me for reading "The Raven" in the first Simpsons Halloween special.
pikachan 02/22/2002
I find James Earl Jones a good actor. I loved him in all three of the Star Wars {not counting the prequel}. He was also good in The Lion King as Mufasa.
Macca 12/23/2001
His voice is wonderful. He's also a great actor. I usually watch whatever he's in, because he doesn't appear in terrible movies.
tondu 05/26/2001
James Earl Jones hasn't been given enough parts to match his acting ability.
JOHN McCLANE 03/21/2001
He´s terrible.

If only for his voice...yes, five stars. For his human acting in things that we SEE him, five stars. Love "What the Deaf Man Heard."
mcke3634om 01/13/2000
We don't see him nearly as much as we should!

James Earl Jones has the most memorable voice out of anyone. He plays commanding roles which are awesome.
