Same old charector everytime out. The only thing she has done that I truley liked was Empire Records. Even she couldn't screw that one up.

There's not much going on upstairs. . .a gorgeous woman who gets paid to look good. . .zero acting ability.

I thought she did a good job in Lord of the Rings- She is certainly a raving beauty! I'd have to see more of her work to raise or lower the rating I've given. Too many people criticize her just because she is Steven Tylers daughter-give her a break!

Probably deserves higher ratings because of the Lord of the Rings and Stealing Beauty.

She is a beautiful young lady and she is skilled. Her role in One Night at McCools was masterfully done, and she deserves far more airtime than some of the women out there today.

I actually like her in LOTR. I think she's done a great job in these films and has proved to have good screen presence. Her father is a scumbag (singer for Aerosmith Steven Tyler), but Liv seems to be creating a separate image for herself. Many people seem to dislike Liv using the usual "nepotism" claims against her, but it's absurd.

Are you kidding me? Almost as worthless and talentless as her Dad. I never understood the buzz about this woman. I don't recommend her works to anyone.

I'm a big fan of Liv. She is awesome as Arwen in LOTR. She has that beautiful innocent look, yet she doesn't need a lot of makeup with her stunning blue eyes and pouty lips. I also really liked her in Armageddon with Ben Affleck. She is so cute!!

As for actresses, she my favourite. I love her performance in LOTR and other movies. She has a natural beauty, and she is very talented. She made the perfect Arwen, and i love her dramatic roles.

She is not a great actress, she is mainly famous because of her dad. This doesn't matter all that much, but I don't think she's very good looking and she has an annoying way of talking.

Liv Tyler- well, I have only seen her in three movies, and she was altogether pretty good. I dont' think she has really gotten a chance to prove herself, but then again i haven't gotten to watch her that much!! i like her

I was not terribly impresses with Liv in her younger years. I thought she was overdramatic and unconvincing in Empire Records and That Thing you do. Her abilities have grown over the years, however, and I think that she really does have a natural ability which is coming through. She has a strong emotional sensaibilty which she is starting to communicate properly. I would have rated her as "OK", were is not for her recent portrayal of Arwen in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I was extremely pleasantly surprised with how well she captured the spirit of Tolkien's elves and brought them to the big screen. She was etherial and graceful, with a depth of emotion and wisdom that was attrituable to the immortatlity of the character. She spoke Elvish so beautifully that it was hauntingly painful to watch.

As moooch as the MooCow would love to rail against her, he has to grudgingly admit that Liv does indeed have some talent(unlike her worthless father), although she really needs to be involved in quality work(Empire Records, The Lord of the Rings), or she becomes an irritation not unlike the appalling Julia Roberts. The MooCOw did not care for her character in Lord of the Rings, which was a cowpilation of udder, moore interesting characters, specifically made to create a false love interest & draw in the chick crowd, but the MooCow has come to see that as the writer/director's fault moore than the actress's. And, truth be told, mooch of the MooCow's bile comes from his hatred of her father and his worthless, hopelessly over-rated cheese band. Maybe she can break away from her association someday; until then, the MooCow just isn't interested.

This young woman seems to have the right combination of beauty, talent and just enough off-center oddness (could she really help getting that trait?) that I think she could do some good work if given the right material and opportunity. So far, I haven’t seen it but I think it still seems like a possibility.

I like watching her in her smaller roles, and shared spotlights. I don't think she has what it takes to be a leading lady. One Night at McCool's should help prove my point.

she's cute, good at crying in dramatic scenes yet just OK for overall acting. maybe it's just me, but her over-the-top sweetness really rubs me the wrong way.

if it wasn't for her father her only starring role would probably be in the back of a '74 dodge van co-starring some local drop-out!

The "great" rating is relative to her age and experience. Already there are things she does as well as anyone, such as facial expression, projecting mood/emotion, and I think her sense of timing and interaction with others is strong. She hasn't made THAT film yet, though if Stealing Beauty had caught on she would have been "discovered" through it for the talent she is. Forty-some years ago, while with my dad at baseball spring training, I noticed an unheard of rookie trying to make the team. He was on of probably 100 "nobodies" because the Pirates were the worst and needed to "reach". I said, "he seems to have what it takes" even though there was no one single thing that made him stand out those few days. Well, I think Liv is a Bill Mazeroski in the making. When he beat the Yankees in the World Series a few years later, then EVERYBODY knew he was a winner. Liv needs to get up to the plate in a postseason atmosphere like Bill did; my hunch is that she will knock one out of the par... Read more

I think Liv Tyler is a great actress. She is very beautiful and talented. Ever since I first saw the vedio CRAZY, I became a big fan of hers. Empire Records is my favorite movie, I used to watch it every day when I was about 14. hehe :)

It's hard not to be in love with Liv Tyler. One look at that Aerosmith video (was it 'Crazy'?) a few years ago and I was hooked. And it turns out she can actually act! It can't be much longer before she gets a break-out role that will push her into that small group of women that can carry movies by themselves.
