I was never all that impressed by her as an actress, but I'd wager that now that she's gotten what she wanted out of acting (becoming Mrs. Tom Cruise) that we will only very rarely see her anymore, if at all.

agreed, overrated, unattractive, acts like an idiot since marrying tom. yeah hes hot....20 years ago. hes not cool anymore neither is his religious views that he forced on her. wait a minute, let me correct myself. he didnt force them on her, shes just been acing so stupid since him she just willingly became whatever he was....he could have been atheist.....why do we even know what his religion is? hes an actor. oh thats right he acts like because hes in movies his opinion on beliefs is more important than everyone elses. she acts he same in all movies and has become snobbish too. she hinks her sh#t doesnt stink since her new bff posh....shes way too influenced by others. now shes acting like posh too. maybe her new nickname can be tomposh. or tosh..or toshcat...

Ugly, overrated, always uses the same gestures, instead of real acting, all she does is act cute just to get everybody to love her.

I'll give her a two, reluctantly. I'm also going to have to say that I'm not all too impressed with her acting. She seems only capable of doing certain types of characters. She's stuck in the teen/freshman at college stage. I don't think she would have much range outside of those age groups; which dimishes her, since she won't be young forever.

I figure now that she's got her family, which seems to be all she was really after to begin with; we probably won't be seeing much of her anyway.

Katie is my all time favourite. I think she has extreme talent, and her work shows consistency and quality. She's moved away from the popular "Joey" image, and has gotten into much more mature roles. This thing with Tom Cruise has probably dampened her popularity a bit for people who can't seem to look past her personal life, but for those who can focus more on her career, she's amazing.

shes not that great of an actress, and always talks out of the side of her mouth so you don't see her screwed up teeth, so that's annoying, but all in all lately shes been looking cute. not a terrible actress, but now that she's with tom cruise she will probably be getting alot more offers.

Anyone brainless enough to fall for Tom Cruise's BS needs to go. She is lacking as an actress. I don't enjoy seeing her in movies. Its not just her looks (even though, I'm not fond of those either.) She just has that unspeakable grates on your nerves quality that some people have.

Wow, I didn't like her much before. I don't think she is that great of an actress. I don't think she's particularly hot either. I hated Dawson's Creek, and can't say I enjoy her movies a whole lot either. And well, now that she's with Tom Cruise I think I like her even less. How annoying...now I'm going to be stuck seeing her EVERYWHERE.

She was always the biggest bitch on Dawson's Creek, and for that reason I could never look beyond her acting on that show. From the very beginning, I always wished they would have just fired her ass....Michelle Williams was so great compared to her.

Besides being extremely beautiful, I think that Katie Holmes could be a very good actress. The problem is that she will always be typecast as Joey from "Dawson's Creek", in part because it was her first major part and also because she played that role so well that its hard to watch a movie without thinking of her as Joey. I think that her most far-reaching performance was her brief, but powerful appearance in "The Gift", in which she plays the town slut who becomes the victim of a murder. I feel in a few years, now that "Dawson's Creek" has run its course, people will take Katie Holmes more seriously and recognize her very obvious acting skills.
