I don't think he is attractive at all. He has more that face you like to punch (sorry). And he has some real life issues. So no thank you.

The only problem with going out with this guy would be you probably would not remember much about the date the next day.

This old crumungeon smokes like a chimney, screams at people, and is generally nasty to watch. His show was the prototype Jerry Springer, but even more harsh. He looks like Gollum. His fish lips just make me want to... what? oh that's MORTON Downey Jr.! Who's this guy? Oh yeah, he's that drug addict with the bags under his eyes. Loser.

As a guy, I'd probably take him to a baseball game, but then he might jump out on the field and start to sniff the third base line so I guess that wouldn't be a good idea.

Talented, beautiful brown eyes, sexy and hooked on drugs. I know it sounds cold, but he’s had so many chances to straighten himself out you have to wonder if it’s possible. I hope so, but regardless of the attraction, I see very little future in a relationship with someone like him – so what would be the point?

Sure, he's a very talented actor, perhaps the best out there, but the guy has been given more chances than anyone can keep count. I wouldn't want to go on a date with him because before the night was over, he'd probably have me hooked on pot, coke and/or crack. The next thing I'd know, I'd be getting woken up in a room at the Chateau Marmont with the police busting down the door- no thanks!

In the 80s, I think we would've had a lot of fun together, partying and stuff. His 80s party til you drop habits remind me a lot of myself when I was a teen... But Now? Who knows. I just love how everyone on here is obsessing over his drug problem as their main reason for not wanting to go near him. Who said a "dream date" had to be so "deep"? He's got a very sarcastic and quirky sense of humor in interviews. My choice would be to just kick back and watch a silly movie and then call it a night -- Not sit there for hours and dwell on his personal issues. Get a grip people.

He has a face only a mother could love. Overrated actor. Box office poison. Almost every feature he has appeared in has tanked. Do not feel pity for this man and his problems. Everybody has problems but you do not have to let your problems ruin your life. Be proactive and find resolutions. In his case, stop acting and find a real career.

This is the type of man I feel drawn to: the gorgeous, tortured soul type. The reckless stallion type.-usually Aries or Picses- but I don't know his sign. But I try to resist this type, because unless they can battle their addictions things just can't ever be stable and work out. My heart and soul goes out to Robert Downey JR. and I hope he can pull himself out of the pit of drug addiction. Only he can do that. He is an excellent actor with an amazing tender sort of intensity.

I think Robert Downey Jr. would be a ultimate dream date. He's an amazingly intelligent man and I would love to have some great conversations with him for starters. He's also a very beautiful, handsome, sexy man. Okay to me he's a babe!!! So to go out with him on a date would be a dream come true for me. Unlike some people I can look past the drug use of his and see him as a human being first and foremost. I think he's a sweet, caring and beautiful man. Have you ever watched The Last Party documentary? I think it shows a lot of the true, sweet Robert and not just a movie star with a drug problem. I don't think going out with Robert on a date would automatically mean shooting up, snorting and poping a wein. He is capable of just being a so called 'normal' person and having a normal life and hopefully he will put his troubles behind him for once and for all. I pray for him everynight. He can beat this. You're still my dreamboat Robert!

He has been called accomplished, audacious, brilliant, convincing, delicious, forceful, impish, impressive, incredibly funny, intuitive, remarkable, riveting, scene-stealing, spectacular, talented, transfixing, versatile... He's an incredible artist, actor, writer, person and individual. Who else could have single-handedly saved Ally McBeal? Who else could have helped the soundtrack albums become best-sellers? Who else deserved the SAG award and the Golden Globe? Who else deserves to win the Emmy? NO ONE!!! Judge him on his professional abilities (he has several, just pick one) not his personal life. Robert has the ability to say more with a single look, a smirk, an eyebrow lift than other actors can say with a whole monologue. His acting speaks for itself.

I gave Robert Downey JR. two stars because although he is an incredibly handsome man and awesome actor, he is still a (or perhaps this time around recovering) drug addict! The Dream Date category certainly holds this man up for ridicule. Sure, his depth, looks, and talent make for attractive qualities in someone, but let's not neglect the fact that at the root of most of his publicity in recent years has been his habitual drug use and incarceration. To me, anyone who would like to spend time with this man would only do so out of selfish reasons: Downey has this little boy lost quality that would bring out the maternal instincts in many women. Some may have the fantasy of saving someone from himself and curing the incurable to heighten their own self importance. Perhaps to a few, the ideal dream date would be to listen to the tales of "Drug Addict Anonymous" meetings or even putting someone, drugged and passed out, in their own bed, but it isn't mine!!

Robert Downey, Jr has proven to be a truly talented actor, and an inteligent man when not being seduced by drugs.

A lot of people judge other people on a first impression, if they are good looking at first, you'll like them. Its just a human instinct. If you ever want to feel as though you are emotionally in touch with an individual you won't be afraid to venture deep into a person's life and true soul. Most people have regrets of mistakes they've made in their lives. Some of them are extreme mistakes, but that doesn't make them any less of a pure human spirit. I first saw Robert Downey Jr. on a movie called "Lost Souls", and automatically he impressed me as a very handsome and emotionally concious actor. I continued to search for movies he has been in. He can make you feel exactly what his character is feeling, from a hippie in the middle of the Vietnam War in "1969", to somebody who is living their last days on earth as they are dying from AIDS in "One Night Stand". Through the hard times of his life he has and remains to keep an optimistic mindset about his life. I once heard a s... Read more
