Jesus said "This is how all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another." I think often times we lose site of this. Some of us think that if we can just get enough knowledge about certain subjects or memorize the right dispensational charts or be able to quote enough scriptures that then we can go out and win the world. Jesus showed us how to love one another and to what extent. He said "Greater love has no man than this, than that he lay down his life for his friends." The Cross not only shows the extent of God's love for us and for Jesus' love for us, but it is also how we are to live our lives. "Take up your Cross and follow me" has nothing to do with asceticism, like it is often times taken to mean, but everything to do with loving one another and following Jesus even to the point of death. It is through loving one another that we become completely human or whole people. Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder sang in Ebony and Ivory the words "We learn to live, when we learn to give each other what we need to survive." Jesus taught us "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." This teaching was not just a great rule it is a statement about how to be whole. When we dehumanize one another with our labels and call one another names and ignore one another as not worth the time then something is missing in us. Evil is not something really, but it is when something is missing that is suppose to be there. We were made for love and when we do not do this then we are incomplete and allow evil to reign.5

i agree with this. as a devout Christian i believe we should all love each other instead of hating gays and everyone else the bible tells us to hate. i love my gay bretheren and the muslims too, and i am against war. but i support abortion. i ask that all other devout Christians do the same!3

Since this is one of the most essential and heaviest commandments to all Christians, it is only logical that we focus on that. If we all did that, there wouldn't be as much judgement, divisions and non-Christians seeing us behave better then the world would be won over.2
