I thought I would share a personal message from Marc about the Dayannara incident for you people that are making these mean, nasty comments. He left this message on his old website. 3.24.04 - A Personal Message from Marc Anthony Let me start by saying that even having to write this letter goes against everything that I believe in, for I have always cherished and protected my privacy. That being said I find it nauseating sitting here having to address allegations and accusations at the hands of people I know. It is hard for me to accept this morbid fascination with public figures personal lives. However, in light of the recent outbreak of sensational accusations and slanderous statements I feel compelled to address certain issues in an attempt to clear things up for those I care about. This will be the first and last time I make a comment about anything having to do with my personal and private life. First of all the specifics about my marriage and who I was with while I was separated is nobody's business. But I would like to make clear that the fact that the demise of my marriage is being blamed on infidelity is laughable. It should be said that I did everything to make my marriage work expressly for my children and in the name of family. And I find it hurtful that it has been portrayed otherwise. The decision to break up had nothing to do with anyone or any other situation. It was about 2 people coming to terms with compatibility issues. As my ex wife has said "we are better off as friends." Boring right? But that doesn't get you on prime time television. I must say that I was surprised and hurt by those who chose to go public in the name of self serving agendas. I can only see that it was purposely intended to sway public opinion and garner sympathy for reasons I will never understand because the parties involved know exactly what happened. Second of all, the fact that Jennifer Lopez has been unjustly dragged in to this is wrong. In no way, shape or form did she have anything to do with the rupture of my marriage. I want to make that 100% clear. The statements that were made alluding to this fact were misleading and malicious and were intended to be so. This was a blatant exploitation and use of someone's name to attract publicity. Then there is the accusation that I fathered an illegitimate child. I think we all know what that was about. The accusation has since been proven 100% unfounded based on DNA tests; however the damage has been done. For those that stood by me and supported me I simply thank you. I know my story, I know what happened. And though there are things I might have done differently I stand by every decision I have ever made simply because I know the truth. I have never claimed to be perfect and I advise you to be leery of those who try to portray themselves as such. I will continue to fight to preserve my privacy. I feel terrible that I have to address this in this manner, but enough is enough. What I choose to do with my personal life from now on, though being a public figure, will absolutely not be for public consumption. Though I still do not feel that I should've had to make this statement, I feel like I owed it to my fans, friends and family who have all been needlessly hurt by all of this. Sincerely, Marc

Marc is the best male singer I have ever heard. He has such a powerful, passionate, and angelic voice. He sings great in both english and spanish. I have had the pleasure of seeing him in concert 3 times and he sings even better live. He is one of the few singers that NEVER lip-syncs and always sounds great live. I have also had the pleasure of meeting him on September 14, 2005 and he is such a sweet man. He really pays attention to you and everything you have to say. And he gives great eye contact and hugs. All those people that are giving him negative comments have probably barely heard his songs. If you actually think that this man can't sing then I think you are tone deaf. And for all you people that are giving him negative comments about his personal life. What do you really know about his life. were you there? The only people who know the truth is Marc, dayanara and jennifer. And you think he doesn't deserve any respect, but neither do u guys who are talking s*** about him , when you don't even know the facts. That doesn't make you any better than him. Marc is the type of celebrity that does not talk s*** about any other celebrity. You people act like he is the only man in the whole wide world that has ever done that. Even Clinton cheated on his wife. Did that make him a bad president? No. And it doesn't make Marc a bad person or celebrity. Us Marc fans like Marc because of his music, voice and talent. And he treats us fans with respect. To all you people that are judging, don't judge someone because of some mistake they made. I bet if you actually got to meet him in person, u would think otherwise. And whoever you are a fan of I'm sure they are no saint either.And niether are you people that have the nerve to judge and make nasty comments.You are not any better than how u think Marc is. Marc is not a saint and never claimed to be!!

Marc Anthony may have a beautiful voice, but you can't give any respect to this man who has proven himself to be LESS than a man, for creating a family and tossing them to the curb like a piece of garbage, because Jennifer Lopez, a known serial adultress, got dumped by Ben Affleck. He ran out on his own children, leaving a baby still in diapers and threatened to sue his wife if she dared talk about it. Even allowing Lopez to move in the home he shared with his wife and children and letting her tear it down! That's not a man, that's a wimp. He looks a hot mess anyway since he's been with Jennifer Lopez, and I know in the long run KARMA will come back to bite him so he can feel the same pain and humiliation that he put upon his ex-wife and their children!

The most inspiring, seductive and mysterious man I've ever heard. My wish....someday meet him one on one.All you tasteless, jealous haters out there need to step off and recognize that this man is the real deal. Unbelievable how many people out there live w/ such a huge chip on there shoulder. There only outlet to some attention is to bash others. GROW UP.

Ok here is what I think of you idiots who do not like Marc: A he is not Mexican (get your fax) B He so can sing in any language, and yes if he put out a cd in sign language I would soooo buy it C He is so not a freak, you are for thinking it! Marc Anthony has an extraordinary voice. He reminds me of Frank Sinatra in his ability to interpret lyrics in an emotionally honest way. Even when he sings a song written by someone else, Marc has that gift of making each song his own. I love to listen to him sing in Spanish as well as in English. He is dynamite singing live in concert!

Marc is one of the greatest salsa singers out there, with staying power like no one else. He is truly gifted with an amazing voice that few others can even dream about having. We are lucky he shares his talent with the world. Tu eres una bendicion. Beth

This guy's a joke. Totally uncompelling. Sings poorly in several languages. Maybe he should learn to sing in sign language. That would be an improvement. "I Need To Know" makes me fart. Saw him of Saturday Night Live once: he's so talentless that he needed like a twelve-piece band, about eight backup singers and a conductor to help him get his act across. And what resulted was pretty lame, to boot.

Marc Anthony is an exceptional vocalist. In response to one of the comments I've seen, you can't compare his English album to his previous works because they are 2 totally different styles of music. Both are great in their own respect.

Marc Anthony has a powerful, almost hypnotic voice--TRUE TALENT! He is NOT a cross over artist...his first album was in English!!!!! If a person is bilingual, shouldn't they have the right to record in both languages? Is Celine Dion a cross-over artist because she has a French album? Anyway...Marc has brought so much joy to his fans, and is still going strong! This man will be around for many years to come.

His music touched my soul, You just know, when you find that music that touches you in every way that it too hard to describe, but easy to feel..Its not any type of music that can find its way to your soul and make you feel this incredible feeling, almost like butterflies when you hear his voice. Just caught a repeat of Marc Anthony on SNL on comedey central and had to come and find a site about him. He excites my Latina roots and I can't get enough of his beautiful voice. He transcends age as my mother, sister and children love to listen to all his albums. His salsa records were always a favorite of mine and still are but his English album immediately was a favortie with my teen girls. His video and duet with Jennifer Lopez is beyond any that I have ever seen and can bring me to tears. Marc Anthony is the best of the Latin Explosion in my estimation. The others are pale by comparison. Marc keep those albums coming.

His English album "Mark Anthony" has touched my heart in the deepest places. Marc's "Love Is All" is the most hauntingly beautiful song I have heard in a long time. I can't get enough of hearing this song, and the others on this album. Also, "My Baby You" is a favorite. There are some musicians who are inspired from a higher source, and I know he is. I think even he doesn't yet realize the gift he has. Thank you Marc for you beautiful, soul inspired gift to us!

I think Marc Anthony is absolutely amazing. He not only sounds great over the radio but also live in concert. Not many people can do both. I wish him much success and I hope to hear more from him in the new year to come.

The only singer I know that sounds even better live - yet, he has not recorded a live CD yet - at least none is available that I'm aware of. Pleaseeeee, on bended knees I beg of you - someone convince this guy to do a couple of live CDs - and throw in "Welcome to the Hotel California" in it.
