25. David Sedaris

Wrong. Who the deuce is David Sedaris? Most whites do not like David Sedaris, although, whites are probably more involved in literature in general that non-whites.

I rather talk about Harry Potter.

I finally got around to reading some of his work, a collection of his essays from various sources. I'll admit I chuckled at some of the work, and its decently crafted writing, but it truly is craft. The over all effect is a cut-rate, modernist, uptown, gay version of Garrison Keeler. Keeler is much better with language.

Is this the Santa's elf guy? He's funny on first hearing him read his essays, but it does grow old.

I have been white as long as I can remember, and neither I nor any of my associates have ever read, been affected by, like, or even know who David Sedaris is.

While I realize that it is annoying when people simply leave "Who?" as a review, I find it appropriate here.

I only read one essay for class and I didnt like it...

He's especially good at reading his own books out loud -- probably a result of writing for the radio.  He can be very funny.

I can't stand David Sedaris. I read a couple of his books and I found him pretty bitter and cynical.
