Another overrated, overhyped undertalented hack the suits have made into a brand.  And unsophisticated louts buy into this, but, then again, those are the same people who are into Big Macs and Ripple.  The high point, aha, of her career was when we got to see her titty at the Super Bowl.

Janet Jackson is a wonderful entertainer. But the key word is ENTERTAINER! She is in no way, shape or form a good singer. The reason why her voice is is so feather light when she sings is because is she were to truly sing out loud there would be voice cracking and trembles galore. I know this because I am a horrible singer and am not ashamed to admit it. I have the good sense to only sing in the shower when no one else is home. But I don't blame her, I blame all of those people who feel that as long as you have a pretty face, great choreographer, and catchy beats then you must be talented.

She puts on a good show. I haven't liked her music for awhile. She was very pretty. She needs to leave the plastic surgery alone and stop the yo-yo dieting. Nice smile, voice.....um......she's a great dancer. She just seems fun.

She sings good and is good looking but I understand why she is in trouble for her breast incident and the boob was nice ,but on the down side little kids saw it so that was the bad part about it.

I had enough of her. Same songs, same tired videos with the young dancers all in step with Janet being sexy. She's attractive but enough already. She's almost 40 and she's still doing that same old tired stuff. Take a chance, do something new like taking voice lessons. I know, make a Christmas cd.

When you have to whip out your right breast during Super Bowl halftime, you expose your talentless carcass in front of 100 million viewers and you know your career is OVER. I like how she is going on Saturday Night Live and acting like it is all a joke. CBS has to pay the absurd fine of $550 000 and $40 000 per station. I hope you're happy with your little stunt because no one is going to buy your CD. Downloading it for free would be a waste of space.

Below Average POP princess who got in the door by her family name...Did you ever hear her really BELT out a song...I didn't think so. I do not think I have heard her EVER sing above a wisper.. She does have a pretty smile but sorry that does not make you a singer.

Janet's music has been almost the epitome of pop/dance music. I mean she helped set the bar for all the Britneys (a copy of her no doubt) out there. Great tracks,lyrics, and beats that are fun to move to and have some sort of meaning. She's a good dancer but if you really watch her most recent (maybe 5 years or so) work, the choreagraphy looks a little robotic and dull. She can still move like someone half her age though. She's only gotten better with age as far as the maturity of her music (although I think the janet album was her most provacative and mature music yet, Velvet Rope a close second). She did jump on the sexual perversion bandwagon in recent years with her lyrics of lesbian/S & M type stuff, but It doesn't bother me...she's expressing herself if she truly gets into that. But all in all I love Janet's music and am a big fan. Her personal life is her own business and I didn't want to mention the superbowl thing but that was really tacky and not neccessary. Her fan base is big enough that she really didn't have to do anything to get attention like that.

Stuck her nose in the same pencil sharpener as her brother did? At least she doesn't molest little boys (or hasn't been caught). Her career is on the skids and her desperate little SuperBowl stunt won't stop the downward slide. But hey, if she gets depressed she can always hang herself with the Velvet Rope. Now that would be a good career move!

I can not believe people listen to this I guess all the Jacksons are like Sirens and you just have to listen. Janet is a dime a dozen her voice is not any better than the rest of the so called Divas out there. She is just one of the crowd, where every thing sounds the same. Is she really Michael in drag.

Janet is the best that pop music has to offer. I listen to alot of artists, but no other artist uses each album to tell a story about her life - like chapters to a book. Please see the Velvet Rope concert DVD or the All For You concert DVD. If you're not impressed, then you're just a hater. Oh, and the new single, Just a Little While rocks.

She's aging very well. In fact the older she gets, the tighter her stomach gets. Too bad her music isn't as tight as her early stuff, but she's still cool.

Let's give miss janet a little more credit than 3 stars. Come ON!! She's been rocking hard for decades. She evolves with the times, and her albums reflect her personal growth as a person. She won't grow old for me.

There are just some people who can't appreciate talent

Decent - but not great - singer with the ability to dance. But tends to be extremely repetitive in her dance numbers as she appears to enjoy fondling herself very much in each and every one of them. Add to that her show all, slutty outfits and mannerisms and you start to feel kind of sad that the cute little girl who once seemed to have a promising career as a young TV actress ("Good Times") is now just a highly paid exotic dancer.

I wish she was under the "dream date" category 'cause she'd be up there on my dream date list. I remember hearing someone say that at first glance she may not seem all that special, but she truly is an attractive woman. And she sure as hell is! The music can be lame pop, but she can sing.

Once again, a decent voice, but the material actually sung is bad.

You'll gotta love her songs which are really soothing and pleasant to listen too. :)

Janet is fantastic! She has released exceptional music for nearly 20 years! I highly recommend the DVD of her Velvet Rope tour - the stage show is excellent! She's truly one of todays most gifted performers.

This is a woman I despise. She's incredibly annoying and phoney. Janet always tries to uphold an angelic image and pretends that she cares so much for her fans. Her career is riding on the fame of Michael and if it wasn't for him, she wouldn't be this famous. Her videos are crap and her songs are not any better, bland and cheesy. Besides, why does she insist on wearing those horrible push-up bras?! Her style sucks too.

Janet is of the few enduring artists from the 80s - alongside Whitney and Madonna - who's still kicking it in the new millennium and looking better than ever! I love her voice and she's a great dancer. Don't forget to mark it on your calendars everyone - April 24, 2001 - that's when Janet's new album "All For You" hits stores.

I saw her velvet rope tour and she was unbelievable! Her songs are great, she has the best dance moves, and her stomach alone is something to be admired. If I had a body like hers, I would be naked ALL the time!!!
