EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE. This man lived the life of a true musician. His songs are some of the rarest, and some of the most raw. His words still speak to me in a way no other artist's can. Maybe because Cash actually wrote his. WOOPS.

My dad listened to him a lot...Folsom Prison Blues and Ring of Fire. I'm not much of a country fan, but I can listen to JC for memory sake.
Sharon_206 10/22/2009

Heeeeeeerrrrrrrrr's Johnny...Cash. I love Johnny Black and watched many documentaries about him and the movie from the states with that crazy nutjob Phoenix.

Good music. I never listened to him until I attended FSU. People in the Florida panhandle like their country music!

One of my favorite singers

The King! The Emperor! The Boss! The everything else!
I starting listening to him in the mid-1950's. I attended his concerts and bought his records and now cd's. He was great--he was a part of America now gone.
I mourned his death.
If you are against Johnny, why fill your hand, pilgrim!

Not a big fan but this guy pissed rock n' roll. Country with an outlaw attitude. Which is more I can say about the casterated honkey approved honkey safe bubble gum country of today.

His recent movie introduced him to another generation. He was soulful when soul wasn't racial.
doobiesNhof 03/19/2009
He walked the line but crossed over it to other genres from time to time...

a 4.5 had a long successful career. was my dad's very favorite singer. I like some of his music. used to hear a lot as a child when my dad played his music. we have some of his songs on cds and he had some great songs. good story teller in his music. i liked the unique guitar beat that always let me know it was a Johnny Cash song.
fitman 01/12/2009
Though I sometimes grow tired of the hits that are most played, he has many more songs just as worthy.

This is the kind of music and artist that makes our music today.

I think Johnny Cash is a terrific artist and an American icon. Gives contry music (something I hate) real balls. He writes songs about pain, loss, love, dope, and redemption. Solid artist. To think we lost him and Ray Charles in the same year.
Jacqueline Marie Jauch Homan 11/07/2008
he is a god!

Folsom Prison Blues - Cash felt great compassion for prisoners.
