Knocked down by surf and wind in a hurricane, he could have been washed out to sea. But, dammit, the sea was more wise, it spit him back to pollute the air waves once again. Oh well, maybe next time this self-styled "Warrior Journalist" will choose an erupting volcano to report on, from deep within.

Jerry Rivers.  How this no-talent has kept in the public eye for over 35 years is a true wonder.  He broke exactly one notable story in his journalistic career, which entitled him to coast for three decades, boring audiences and merely taking up airtime with his tiresome verbal flatulence.  Ho-hum, Jerry.  Do us all a favor and retire already.

Again, the only person more annoying than Geraldo is his brother, Craig Rivera. I was watching Geraldo on Fox a couple of weeks ago and his garage had burned down, and Craig was covering the story. geesh.

You guys are way too hard on this guy. No he's not a saint and he certainly is an over-actor but the guy takes risks, not only career but life treating. Not only that... he got his brother on board to work as a cameraman for him in Afghanistan. Where else are you going to find a brother at the age of 50 that wants to drag your butt into one of the most dangerous places an American can find? I think too many of you think he's all hype but I think he is more of a loose canon. He didn't start out to be a reporter... not at all. He was an attorney and the first client he migrated to defend was the "Young Lords." That was a Puerto Rican group equivalent to the Black Panthers. Eventually they did something stupid and took over a Harlem church. He became the communicator between the news media and the group. That started his news career. He had the dirt on Marilyn Monroe and JFKs relationship but his boss, Roone Arledge refused to let the story air. Geraldo spoke out that Arledge is protec... Read more

Hilarious. I always figure his obnoxious doofus act is one of the cleverest money making schemes anyone on television ever came up with.

He calls himself a journalist. Journalist! Journalist!.....LOL LOL!! This man is a piece of garbage. Geraldo to a man in prison who beat and terrorized his family....: Didn't you say you were going to chop off his (his children's loveing and decent stepfather) head and go to the bathroom in the neck hole? Criminal: (no response) Geraldo repeated the question SIX TIMES! I counted. Need I say more?

His main contribution to society was to turn the OJ circus(trial) into a showbiz act which only promoted a bunch of low-life race hustlers.

Rivera is a third rate journalist trying to make his mark as a second rate talk show host. He's smarmy, arrogant, and so incredibly full of myself that I find myself wishing the skinheads who broke his nose several years back had smacked him in the head with a baseball bat a couple of times just to teach him some much needed humility. Additionally, Rivera was recnelty exposed for the fraud that he is when his claim that he was shot at by Al Quaida or Taliban fighters while serving as a correspondent in Afghanistan was later proven to be false.

If there was a number lower that I could give this fellow I would. Saw him and Bill Maher on the same show talking about George Bush. Two idiots talking about a great man. They were taking pot shots at him acting all smug. I almost jumped through my set. Geraldo and Bill Maher are sickening.

Uh-uh, man! That goatee didn't fool me any! I knew it was you! Different station, different format, different facial hair pattern. You can run, but you can't hide, Geraldo. We know what you did. Better watch it...some skinheads gonna hit your nose with a chair again. haha I remember that. That was pretty funny. Oh, and, unlike Springer, you could sure as hell tell that that was real!.....by the way, why isn't Tom Snyder on this list? I really wanted to tease him about drooling over Jennifer Tilly's cleavage the last time she was on his show. That man is shameless, even if he wasn't alone in doing that. I'm sure there were a lot of guys up at that hour choosing her over infomercials.

I like him. He seems real and sincerely concerned about others. I remember reading praises for his behavior in Oklahoma City after the bombing. Many of the other news people were in the way, intrusive, arrogant, looking only for a scoop or pitiful scene.
