Chris Rock

I am a black married woman with kids living in America. I just watched the HBO Special with Chris rock and was insulted and was humiliated for both white people and black people.  He is very very racist. He acts like people are not responsible for their own destinies. He is going on and on about Obama being the first black president and never ONCE does he mention that Obama's mother is white.  That he was raised by a white woman who helped him become the man he is and encouraged him to live his life to the fullest. If he does become the president and I hope he does, it will mean that we have a president that is coming to the table mixed with the best of both worlds.  There are so many people in interracial relationship's these days that he should recognize that and see how far the world has come and stop living back 200 years ago.   We are all going to end up in the same place in the end anyway. So get over it. Have you not seen his Obama's last commerical about his Grandpa and Mom. They are WHITE!!!!!!!  So stop encouraging racism and realize that what happened to your family years ago is in the past and leave it there!!!!

he went from saying black people are the most racist people in the world to saying white people have taken the title. He says black people are thought to be Obama supporters because he's black NOT because they get the issues, meanwhile he says white people just "walk into money and success" what a load of crap. Who are these white people? Chris, didn't they go to school and study and sacrafice? You can't overcome racism by shifting from white on black racism to black on white racism. But I guess he isn't trying to accomplish such a thing is he? He's just looking to grab some cash. Black people should be clamoring for some Bill Cosby. He is the only comedian figure who seems to get that personal responsibility is key to success, NOT the color of one's skin. Grow up Chris.

I agree with LadieBee 100%. I just saw Chris Rock in Las Vegas...people were leaving VERY early (within the first 30 minutes)...something is definitely going on between he and his wife...the way he carried on about black women was shocking...not too many black women are going to support him after hearing about this....I have a great sense of humor, but bitter attacks just aren't funny.

I just attended chris's No apologies performance and was extremely disheartened. As a historically huge fan of chris I have never been more insulted and disappointed. His rampage on destroying the African American woman was shocking, hurtful and definitely not funny. His constant repeating of himself made the 45 min show an 1.5 hr long. mediocre. People were leaving within the 1st 15 min. (they were smart)!! I don't know what chris is going through personally but his career is definitely coming to an abrupt end. His old material is still hilarious but currently he's simply profiting off of his old reputation. If I could get my money back I would!! I highly discourage anyone with a healthy since of humor from going to see chris!!

Even giving him that black comedians can get away with a lot more than white comedians, one day Chris Rock will go too far for 2 simple reasons: one- he has no judgment - he really means some of the crap he spouts. If you can't see that, you're blind; and two - he's low on material. Aside from his obnoxious voice, I can't stand watching him because he repeats everything three or four times. If he oly said each thing once, how long of a show could he give?

People like him are the ones keeping racism alive in this country. He is not funny. And I am black and got everything I ever worked hard for.

I just sat through Chris Rock: Never Scared. I am a white male who always loved his show and feel that this is a good example of how writers make or break a comedian, as this was a real let down. I know many have tagged him a racist after this performance. I don't use the racist tag as it is too subjective and high horse as we all have our prejudices and should be careful about how much we judge. I will say that Chris is a man who clearly has contempt for white people and blames whites for all of the black problems. Eg. getting arrested for dealing and using drugs, not doing well in school, etc. in his segment on affirmative action. Surprisingly, he makes more of a case against affirmative action and I felt myself getting pushed to the right on this issue with his points. Perhaps most noticeable is that he gets caught up in his own words throughout the performance repeating the same phrase over and over to eat up time and subsequently, kill any momentum he would have had. He needs to hire his old HBO writers and start reading their scripts instead of this weak attempt at comedy/blame preaching. He may get richer with this trash, but it is 1 star material.

Any one listening to Chris Rock's new HBO Special will hear his racist remarks. Oh. He makes a few cracks about blacks but his remarks about Whites are meant to defame and devide. He remarks that Blacks are taking over all sports and will soon take over hockey as soon as thay get a heated hockey rink. He tries to be funny , but he lets his true feelings about Whites be heard quite clearly, and White people are to stupid to recognise what they are hearing.A White comic would never get by with the same type of humor and racist remarks When will we wake up and turn the trash off. And lets see if Chris misses the money he is making off of Whites.To hear him talk we are all Geeks, Nerds and Crackers, and Blacks are GREAT and they are taking over.

I have seen him on the 2003 and 2002 MTV video awards and all he does is put down white people while praising blacks, the worst thing is the whites in the audience laugh at his racist humour either because they are too scared to say anything because then they will be the racist or because they are just plain DUMB

He can carry on his own show, but Chris Rock is a bit too crude for TV. He seems ok in his role, hosting his own television show, but he goes overboard sometimes, and can hurt people's feelings.

Chris is a funny guy, but his ability to host is very poor. Nobody needs to cuss at much at this guy does. It's very childish, and just makes it seem like he just wants attention. Sometimes I can't even understand his jokes because he cusses so much. I beleive you can get your point across without cussing straight through your sentences. However, his potential to be a very good comedian is limitless.

I like him a lot as a comedian, but as a talk show host, he's nothing special. He isn't a good interviewer, but the rest of the show is pretty funny. His version of "Taxicab Confessions" is hilarious.
