I like this movie. Actions were awesome. Romance is as usual. There was suspense which keeps interest in movie. Pierce did well acting. Some gadgets were old and some were new. Story is also good. Background music of action was fantastic. Must watch movie.

Action scenes are great and gadgets aplenty, but the story is overloaded with pseudo-dramatic subplots: hate-love, love-hate, love-madness. Trying too hard to develop complex characters they took the movie out of style and cut it into separate pieces. And Bond loved only his wife Tracy di Vicenzo, anyway!

Pierce Brosnan is the best James Bond EVER!

It became clear with this one that Pierce was not going to significantly revive the tired old franchise.

While I maintain a deep fondness for James Bond movies, the Pierce Brosnan ones lack an edge. I found World is Not Enough particularly dull. The plain and simple fact is that no other writer can't hold a candle to the taut, suspenseful writing of Sir Ian Fleming. As a result, the movies suffer. Just read Fleming's Casino Royale, and you'll know what I mean.

I like this movie, although the N64 game of the same name sucks. However, there was one disappointment in this film. Denise Richard's acting was pretty emotionless and wooden throughout the film. In fact, I found her acitng to be a detriment to my enjoyment of the film. Other than that, this film has its cool parts. I particularly enjoyed the part where Bond first encounters Renard. This situation may be the only other time (save License to Kill) when we saw Bond really get pissed off. Normally, he's calm, cool and collected but Renard got to him. I don't know why but I have always enjoyed watching him get angry. A good movie, though not one of my favorites. Lots of awesome bond action!

Unfortunately, The World Is Not Enough (1999) is an average James Bond film with an uninspiring and overly complex plot. This time Bond (Pierce Brosnan on his third appearance as 007) is assigned as the bodyguard for the daughter of a deceased oil magnate Elektra King (Sophie Marceau). Someone is out to control Central Asia's oil supply by threatening the pipelines, and Bond must figure out who is responsible. Along the way, Bond meets the sultry nuclear weapons expert Dr. Christmas Jones (Denise Richards) and his primary nemesis Renard (Robert Carlyle) who is immune to physical pain. The film opens fast with a chase scene on the Thames River, but it has trouble keeping up the pace. Moreover, the locales are not varied enough as Bond stays primarily in Central Asia and Istanbul, the gadgets are not all that spectacular, the one-liners are weak at best, and the villains are not innovative which suggests that the screenwriters are still having some difficulties coming up with intere...
