The BMW 7 is for people with money people who complain about its cost really have no right to own one. There's a reason that they're expensive to repair. Here's what you need to understand. The BMW 7-series is what is known as a flagship vehicle. This means that it acts a the palette for all subsequent BMW's of that point in time. The BMW is the first car in the line-up to be redesigned. Usually the design is very radical. This redesign occurred in 2002, then the design cues were used to create the new cars in reverse numerical order (i.e. the 7 was the setting for changing the 6 (reintroduced model), then the 5, then the 3, and now the 1). But the 7 is more than just a set of design ideas to draw from. The 7 has the newest everything (technologies, mechanical, etc.), and these technologies aren't necessarily perfectly ready for production, but are setting the stage for future BMW's. The technology is perfected as it is filtered down through the classes (series), which is why the 3-ser... Read more

Not very reliable. Germans are not known for paying attention to detail, so electronics within the car often fail very quickly. I know this, cuz I lived in Germany and have relatives working in the industry.

I'm not fond of the styling of the 7 series or most of the new Bimmers for that matter. I'm not sure what Chris Bangle and his design team were trying to accomplish. With that said, this car is a technological tour de-force, and stays true to the 7 series priciples - Luxury AND responsiveness - A 5 rating for the V-12.

New body style is a piece of sh*t. Ugly trunk decklid, ugly as hell headlights. Yuck

A first-class luxury car should not have an instrument layout that forces you to divert your eyes from the road for extended periods. Also, the new 7-series should have a trunklid that doesn't look grafted on from some other car. With so many good alternatives out there, I don't know why anyone would buy this car.

The new 03 &-Series is one of the most technologically advanced vehicles of the current time. Its powered by a V8 or V-12! The V-8 gets a impressive 325hp while the V-12 gets 408. Its shifted through a 6 speed automatic. Its a large sedan, and very expensive. Pricing begins at $70k. Another good alternative is the Mercedes S-Class.

hands down the best cars I have ever owned are BMW's. From my 3 to my 5 and now my 7, I would recommend one to anyone who wants a reliable, comfortable and safe car.

Handling, braking, control, power, safety, head turning looks; the 740 has it all. If you don't have one, get one!

BMW in general is very reliable, and is a great luxury car. Looks great, has extra features, and has BMW name behind it.
